Locotrader: I don't agree with Locotrader on this. If you had followed the Champion discussion here and got in, you should be sitting on between 35% to 0ver 100%. My advice is: Consider exiting now that the sentiments are high. If you follow Champion Brewery to Utopia, Lala Land or NeverLand, you may sit on more paper profit than now, but exiting will become a problem because everyone will want to exit then, but there will be no buyers. Don't come back here and cry that you have been trapped and left behind in the bus. A word is enough for the wise. 9 Likes |

It is easier to do 50% to 100% profit with N10M and pull out your full funds plus profit without hassle. It is harder to replicate with N2Billion. Even if you divide and deploy N2Billion equally across 10 company stocks, that is N200M per company stock of your choice. The stocks you are likely to get 100% on a regular are stocks below N10. Now the problem is you cannot enter or exit with N200M without causing excitement or panic. 100% profit of that takes you to N400M. Best bet is to enter or pull out in bits over a long period of time; which is not really a viable option. The more you reduce your spread from 10 companies to maybe 2 or 3 or 5, the bigger your funds per company and also headache. Now you understand why a N2Billion fund handler is okay with 2% profit, usually with blue chip stocks Like Nestle, Seplat, etc that can absorb the money without blinking. No be to see 100% paper profit on N2Billion be the problem, can you actually cash it? Until your capital and profit sits as cash in your ; it is not yet Uhuru!! 13 Likes 1 Share |

A ton of golden information can be found here, there is no doubt about it. But to make money from it, you must understand that: 1. Your Buying Price and Selling Price is only 10% of the game;..... the remaining 80% is waiting/patience. If you lack the 80%, you will end up making your Stockbrokers rich for every round trip you go. 2. There are 1000 strategies to make money in the stock market, but all you need is just 1, 2 or 3 strategies to succeed. A percentage of my portfolio funds is dedicated to higher risk stocks, such as: a. Stocks of companies in losses and are expected to recover back to profitability. Example was Champion called out by Loco. b. Companies pivoting across industries like Tantalizers c. Companies pivoting across different products in the same industry such as EllahLakes d. Companies under suspension or penalty/sanction..... 3. A bulk of my portfolio is in a safety net of dividend paying stocks, make man no go back to square 1 ![]() ![]() So instead of just sitting and waiting for the next dividend, i trade the highs and lows of that stock, slowly and tactically building up my share quantity. So if i got N20 this year as dividend, i will get N30 next year if the Dividend per share stay the same; without adding an extra kobo of my own money. I have been doing this with ZenithBank for years now and got N7M as dividend on April 30th. In all this, consistency, discipline and patience is key. Find 1 or 2 strategies that suits your personality, or the strategies your brain can handle its complexities and stick to it. You will still make money. I don't understand all those Fibonacci, Miss Elliot and candle sticks that Agba and co talk about and i am not even trying. TA is not my calling. The point is: FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU AND STICK TO IT!! 21 Likes 4 Shares |

If you bought EllahLakes, i believe you have a reason for doing so. Ignore the noise and stick to what you believe in. The last time i engaged in such argument was about Oando's management with Wale at the helm. Oando was trading between N9.50 - N10.50. Less than 4 weeks after this argument, Oando soared to N80+ and the rest is history. I know many here missed that rally because of the back and forth arguments here.......... Regardless of whatever is said here, make your own decision and own it whether it turns out good or bad. That is how you learn. that those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it. Enough said. Disclaimer: I don't have a single share of EllahLakes. 3 Likes |

emmy512:The POTUS will never meet with private mercenaries. The PMC guys that showed outstanding bravery in defence of the CIA outpost in Benghazi were never publicly recognised by the Military or US President. For that guy to be on stage with Biden, he is US Special Force but probably had to resign for this mission. He will never be acknowledged by the US military. Plausible deniability. 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Her confidence speaks a lot. Nigerians are so mentally derailed that they believe honest people no longer exist. Nothing is hidden in a public office settings; meaning you cannot be a bribe taker in secret or chop alone. That woman was sent there simply because she has built a reputation that she can't be bought. In the 2023 Governorship election, a woman like her stood her ground despite pressure/threats/financial inducement from above, and declared Alex Otti of LP winner of the election. In retrospect, you all saw the shenanigans that played out in Adamawa state Guber election between the Inec Commisioner and APC candidate Binta. |

Mankind2024:What makes a great company? Having a good product is not enough, management is key....and money always follow good management. It seems you are emotionally attached to IB. If not, there was enough time for you to cut your losses on the downward journey from N48 to N4.. I will rather back a good management and bad product; as it is easier to pivot your products across industries than to get rid of a bad management that is deeply entrenched/vested in a company. 7 Likes 1 Share |

For those in ChampBrew,...sharpen your cutlass. While those in Intenegins should hold. Don't give away your equity for a mere N1.60, when there is a forthcoming window to sell for above that price..... Please take the above statement with a pinch of salt and do your own due diligence. Over and out. 1 Like |

Omooloriredade: YES!! It is a done deal only if 90% or more of the 634,212,476 are tendered to Norrenberger between 10th of June and 19th of July. If they don't get the 90%, they would have to come up with a better offer. The onus still lies on the current free float shareholders to determine the way forward.

Palomadove:It is a gamble..........If you sell, you cash out N1.60 immediately. If you hold and they meet the required 90% after the deadline, then they will forcefully foreclose your shares at the same N1.60. But if after the deadline, they did not meet up the required 90%, then that means there will be fewer shares available to trade on the floor (Free Float), which may or may not cause a rally; and they may have to offer a higher price above N1.60. Please note that the above is not a buy or sell recommendation, and should be taken as a Hypothesis. 2 Likes |

Palomadove:Most people replying you are actually ill-informed of the workings of an MTO especially with respect to IEI. The MTO will stand only if shareholders give up at least 90% of the 634,212,476 IEI shares Norrenberger is seeking to buy. If by the end of the deadline, they are able to get at least 90%, the remaining 10% shares of those who did not accept the offer will be taken forcefully. But if at the end of the deadline, shareholders did not give up at least 90%, Norrenberger will have to make another bid with a better price. So the onus now lies on those holding IEI shares. |

Locotrader:For those who bought Champion Brewery when it was discussed here, aside the bonus share; here are the possible scenarios that will play out in the short and long term. 1. The manage of Champion Brewery will announce the completion of the acquisition of Raysun shares by EnjoyCorp. They will also announce the acquisition price per share, which i expect to be nothing less than N5 (This is my own conservative estimate). When this announcement comes, there may or may not be a rally. 2. The new management EnjoyCorp will be holding about 86% of Champion Brewery shares with 3.5% in Free float, which is not compliant with the NGX rules. So they have only 3 options, of which holders of ChampBrew will benefit: a. Sell enough shares from their 86% holdings to meet up with NGX compliance rules, and the commencement of this sales and stages of sales must be announced. They sure wouldn't sell at the current market price of N3 and below as that would mean instant loss on their investment, so they will have to find a way to drive up their share price of ChampBrew. b. EnjoyCorp holds on to their 86%, remain non-complaint and work hard to turn around the company before selling off shares on the market to meet NGX free float compliance rules. If they show a positive result, there may or may not be a rally. c. EnjoyCorp buys out the remaining 3.5% free float at a price which will not be less than the N5 they bought from Raysun. If they announce this, there may or may not be a rally. The above is strictly for those of us in Champion Brewery. 3 Likes 3 Shares |

I believe money is made in the quietness of time, not in excitement. The same applies to the stock market. If you receive your buy/sell information as e dey hot, in the excitement of time, you are late. Secondly, there are two types of investments advisers. 1. Points you in a direction he is not headed, based on hearsay or exciting prospects. 2. Points you in the direction he is headed, and you will watch him walk down that road Na number 1 type plenty here. Once upon a time here, just few weeks ago. The prospects of INTENEGINS (International Energy Insurance) was discussed here in the quietness of time. Entry prices of N1.17 to N1.41 was revealed here. I stated here that i started buying at N1.29, and followed the price down to N1.17. If you are entering any Insurance stocks based on the news of yesterday or this morning, i am sorry you are late to the party. You will have to buy high at a higher risk. 3 Likes |

Where is that man that was looking for an exit-buyout from Intenegins at N1.50? I hope you were able to bail out at your desired price, given that Intenegins is currently at N1.65.

If you need to defend a stock or fight for a stock to encourage people to buy or hold, when you are clearly an outside investor, then it is not worth it unless you are paid to make such recommendations. Adinije:It is all DEMAND and SUPPLY... the GOLDEN rule? It states that "He who has the GOLD make the RULES." To manipulate a stock price to go up, you provide the DEMAND/MONEY and allow other investors/traders eat from it as you drive the price up.. If you want to drive the price down, You still provide the MONEY/SUPPLY and still allow other investors to eat from you through short selling. There is no FREE RIDE anywhere even in FREETOWN, Sierra Leone ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Aside what the illustration i provided above, there is no other type of manipulation, or suspension of price, or interception of 100,000 units that can happen on the floor of the NGX or anywhere else in the world. But you can still do some manipulations outside the floor of the NGX by creating GREED or FEAR.. Example, you can sponsor a smear campaign against a company like Chioma and Erisco, influence policies and politicians to ban or unban products, finance a war or crisis like Boko Haram or Ukraine war, create a virus like Ebola, Covid-19, kill a CEO like ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
