The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives has withdrawn its hip of the t Health Sector Union, Saturday PUNCH reports. NAMMN said its purpose for ing JOHESU had been achieved and there was no need to remain in the union. The letter read in part, “It will be recalled that in 2008 or thereabout, the leadership of five unions in the health sector came together and formed the body now called JOHESU. The purpose of this noble idea was to unite and have a formidable body that would fight their ’ common interest. The immediate demand then was a common salary structure for their at all levels of the health care system. “Now that we are ed individually, it means we have different needs to a large extent, despite the fact that we belong to the health industry. We did not start with JOHESU. Consolidated Health Salary Structure was one of the reasons we came together and we have achieved it. So, now nurses say it is time for us to go back to how we were pre-2008.” NANNM in a letter titled ‘Withdrawal of hip’ signed by Shettima and addressed to the chairman and secretary of JOHESU, dissociated itself from the union. The associations also copied the Office of the Government of the Federation, the Federal Ministry of Health, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, the National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission, the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational Associated Institutions, the Nigeria Union of Allied Health Professionals, the Senior Staff Association of Universities’ Teaching Hospitals Research Institutes and Associated Institutions, and the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, in the letter dated April 27, 2023. Edo seals private hospital over training, induction of quack nurses Edo state government has sealed a private medical facility, Selaf Specialist Hospital, in Uromi, Esan North LGA of the state, over alleged training and inducting of quack nurses, otherwise known as auxiliary nurses. The operation was led by the Director of Medical Services and the Director of Nursing Services in the State Ministry of Health, Dr. Edward Aisowieren and Mrs. Patricia Osazuwa respectively. Addressing journalists, Aisowieren disclosed that the health facility was sealed-off as part of ongoing enforcement operations to regulate and sanitize the healthcare system and rid it of quacks in Edo State. According to him, the hospital was shut down indefinitely for offences ranging from operating without registration, engaging unqualified personnel, training of quacks and non-compliance with regulatory standards. He said: “We recently got information that this facility has been carrying out training and induction of quack nurses. “Upon our investigation, we discovered that the facility, Selaf Specialist Hospital, is not ed with the Ministry of Health. They claim they are ed with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). The proprietor of the facility has been interrogated, and he revealed that they have been operating for about two and a half years.” We are using this medium to appeal to Edo people that it’s no longer business as usual. There are a number of these facilities running in the state that are not legally ed with the Ministry of Health. “Some of these facilities engage unqualified persons to carry out their activities. We have developed standards in the Ministry for all categories of health facilities-clinics, hospitals, medical centres, diagnostic centres, nursing homes and maternity, among others.” He further noted, “In no distant time our registration portal will go live where we will these guidelines for persons that are interested in running private facilities to familiarise themselves with the requirements. “For now, this facility will be sealed permanently. The owner of this facility will be apprehended and handed over to the law enforcement agencies for prosecution.” He therefore appealed to Edo people to help the government as it steps up efforts to strengthen and rejig the healthcare system. “We cannot do this job alone. We request that you report to the Ministry of Health anything you see or suspect to be wrong “We are relying on your to curtail the activities of these unscrupulous elements who are putting our lives in danger for their selfish gains,” Aisowieren said. CXLVII:You wish to be half a human that I am. But unfortunately, you can never be.. 😂 😂 I am an international asset. A soon to be (BNSC, RN, RM, RPHN) with 2nd class upper. I will travel to any country I want to with ease. Unlike you that will forever chained in Nigeria.. 😂 😂. If not that i can never invest in South West, I would have come for ur small ancestral land you are left with and you will have no choice than to sell it to me then continue ur hate..😂 Get a life dude. |

CXLVII:I will keep existing and flourishing while you keep being envious and dying slowly and painfully. |
![]() |
CXLVII:Thank God I hate you too with ion. So can you get off Enugu and Igbos matters b4 I change it for you. Hopeless Maggot. |
![]() |
CXLVII:So slowpoke like you know my former governor more than me living in enugu? How did a vagabond like you concluded that he is one of the best Igbo politician? In which way? Where you in Enugu during his reign? Did you witness his thuggery and cultism filled government? I understand that nothing Igbos does that pleases idiotic bigots like you. And yes we are unapologetically IGBOS. We can never be caged like they do to you people because we are Republicans. We can never allow one evil person to control us and dictate who rule over us. That's why even ur politicians hate us too cos once we want to speak, we speak lout in one uniformed voice. |
![]() |
Reality3080:You see how dumb and myopic you are? 1st, I dey my beloved Enugu state and nothing concern me with ur south west. 2nd, Igbos are naturally explorers and go getters. They are everywhere in large numbers and not just south west contributing their qouta to development of their respective host cities. I bet you see Chinese, Americans, Indians, etc in Nigeria and Africa. You think there are down here because Africa is better than theirs? Grow up and travel olodo. It's part of education. |
![]() |
Reality3080:My region is developed far more than urs. And yes I still need my brothers to stop developing ur land and look back home. So that our region can be by far developed than urs. Cry me a river if you want. |
![]() |
Godfullsam:Mugu. You are indeed delusional to think everyone is a bigot like you. I have not in anywhere demean or say anything about any tribe but instead appealing to my brothers to think Home. If quoting statements from former ministers of FCT in credible national newspapers is boastful to you, then you must be very mad and stupid at the same time. Do I look like I give a fvck about you, ur tribe or region? You are free to believe whatever assumptions you want that makes you feel better buh don't come here to attack me over what I didn't say myself. If you have other facts aside the one Elrufai and Bala Muhammad said, then bring it out or forever remain dumb as u are. |
![]() |
Godfullsam:Baseless articles you said?. This is funny though. Those articles are from reputable newspapers in Nigeria( Sahara reporters, daily trust and Guidan newspapers)and not from unknown blogs. Other newspapers still have the news. And those words were from Elrufia, and Bala Muhammad when they were ministers of FCT. Cry harder bro. It's not Igbos fault that u can't hustle and prosper like them. Instead of hating, humble urself and learn from them. It's actually a dumbo that makes blind arguments without facts. How do I convince a dumb bittered mugu like you when Bala Muhammad and Elrufai words in newspapers couldn't?
|
![]() |
Godfullsam: What is even wrong with most of you? Must you always die in envy? Atleast I am pleading with my people to leave ur respective land and think home. What is still ur problem with that? Cos I said that they have acquired 50% of landed properties in Abuja? I just reduced the percentage self to make urchins like you feel better but still, you are still wailing. Oya this is the actual percentage given by different FCT ministers. You can now kii urself cos Igbos have even acquired far more than the 50% I quoted earlier.

Civetcat:Now use same developmental index u used to arrive that East is the most backward to compare Osogbo and Umuahia . Akure and onitsha . Ibadan and Enugu. Ado-Ekiti and Abakaliki. Abeokuta and Owerri. I awaits ur comparison. |
![]() |
2mch:You can't face me cos you are simply Empty. And yes I am facing my governor that's why we stopped him from going to Senate. I am facing my governor that's why we call him madam Ugwuanyi down here. I am facing my governor that's why I am going out tomorrow to still vote out his anointed candidate. That's why we are different. Down here, we fight our bad leaders and doesn't permit them to lord over us whereas you people there worship bad leaders. Am still waiting for you to compare those South East and South West states ọ. You must prove me wrong that East is backwards cos I can't take this nonsense assumptions from ppl like you that haven't left south west b4. |
![]() |
2mch:Indeed, u are an olodo. Point out were I defended eastern politicians? It's sad that when idiots like you bring up ur myopic assumptions and fail to defend it when confronted, you switch to another opposite irrelevant talk. I hate Bad Eastern politicians just like millions of other Igbos do. We beat them abroad, castigated them and make jest of them down here. We retired most of them in this election and I am going out tomorrow to vote against the remaining too. We suffer bad leadership down here same way you suffer bad leadership in ur south west too. I have challenged you and ur brothers that think South East is backwards and worse hit by bad politicians to show me other state in South West that is more developed than any state in South East aside Lagos. |
![]() |
2mch:Ogbeni. You are crying and I can't hear you. I know you people are bittered cos Igbos rose from scratch to be a force to reckon with. I feel ur bitterness and I wish you more of it. In education, we are leading. In poverty index, we are the lowest. In sports, we are not mates. In entertainment, una dey lead but with close margin. In Commerce, una no even near and that's the major reason you are dying slowly. Back to my point, am still waiting for you to compare those South West cities to the south east cities ọ. Since you think we are backward, be proud to prove it to us with hard evidence n not by hearsay. |
![]() |
2mch:Nnewi alone sur Ekiti. Atleast we hear Nnewi more often than Ado-Ekiti. Only God knows how abandoned that city is that it doesn't make any headline throughout the year. |
![]() |
Civetcat:Yes I agree it does. And it's cos of its closeness to Lagos. But still, it's not more developed than any Eastern state. And East still have biggest Markets than all in West including Lagos. I have been to Abeokuta and it's far below Owerri talk more of Enugu. So what's the point having such industries yet no good housing or well planned cities? |
![]() |
2mch:You ended up not saying anything instead of ur hate filled bigotry. I stay in Enugu and live far better life than you and your entire generations. My village here is far more developed than some of ur state capital in South West. The problem with bigot urchins like you is that they don't leave their dirty house to explore and enjoy nature God created. You claim East is empty? But Main market onitsha is the biggest market in West Africa. Ariaria Market is 3rd biggest market in West Africa. Like I said, pls compare Abakaliki to Ado Ekiti Ibadan and Enugu. Osogbo and Umuahia. Abeokuta to Onitsha. Akure to Owerri. Until you do so, stfu and keep dying painfully in ur hate cos I so enjoy it when bigots like you die slowly and miserably. |
![]() |
2mch:You are so dumb and evil. Tribalism have blinded you and I pray it remains permanent in ur life. Now aside Lagos which is so because it was formal capital of Nigeria for more than 30yrs, which other South West will u compare to Eastern states? Oyo and Enugu? Ekiti and Ebonyi? Ondo and Imo? Ogun and Abia? And never forget that East rose from war torn region to rebuild this cities from scratch again after your ancestors refused Igbos from ceding because it's clear that Igbos doesn't need Nigeria to prosper unlike hypocrites like you that can't do without Igbos and still can't let Igbos stay in peace. I wish bigots like you pai~nful excruciating dea~th. Idio~ts. |
![]() |
In all this, I see this as a wake up call for Ndigbo who still have small sense left in him. It's time we build our land and make it a city of our dream instead of investing heavily in other ppls land. We are developing Abuja now too and have bought almost 50% of the landed properties too. Very soon, Abuja indigens will still remind us to go back to our village as they call it. We need to think home ụmụnnem. Nigeria is not ONE and can never be ONE. Let's build our home. |

lhordspy:You are so dumb and evil. Tribalism have blinded you and I pray it remains permanent in ur life. No tribe holds n curse its leaders in Nigeria than the Igbos. We beat them abroad when they visit, una go still antagonize Igbos for beating their bad leaders abroad, if we use hash words on them, una go still say we don't respect our elders. What do urchins like you want from Igbos? Atleast we fought gallantly this year and retired many of the evil leaders in East even though some still rigged their way in, haven't it proven that Igbos doesn't worship bad leaders like you people? Now aside Lagos which is so because it was formal capital of Nigeria for more than 30yrs, which other South West will u compare to Eastern states? Oyo and Enugu? Ekiti and Ebonyi? Ondo and Imo? CoronaVirusRelo:LOL 😂. Na so una called us wailers in 2011 cos we saw that Buhari is a disaster and rejected him in totality. People like you went ahead and imposed him on us then mocked us and called us wailers, bitter politics players etc. Fast forward to the middle of his regime, who actually became the wailers...? 😂 Ur guess is as good as mine. Una never going to learn in this country that's why you deserve whatever you get from them. Las Las, 99% of you hailers now will become wailers again.. 😂 😂 |

They are busy turning Obi votes where he won to nothing and they want us to accept it. In 2011 South East gave GEJ about 5 million votes. Anambra, Imo and Abia had above 1 million each. Enugu 800k and Ebonyi about 500k. And it's Obi we can't give same kind of votes even after massive voters education and awareness which motivated millions of 1st timers voters like me to believe in INEC and vote. This election is just so disgusting. Let them continue announcing rubbish, they will hear from us after they are done. 1 Like |

FarahAideed:I collected my pvc cos INEC promised to my vote right from pulling unit which got me convinced that my vote will count. Anything contrary to that is a betrayal to the promise they made to me. Whoever I choose to vote for is none of ur promise. My concern is let my vote count. |

khalling2008:You are actually the one wailing here. I pointed what INEC promised me and you which made me to believe them yet they failed woefully and you are here blabbing. Or Have they ed the results as promised? You know, must of you injustice cos it favors you forgetting that one day, same measures will be meted on you too. Or is it a crime to ask for a credible pull? If we have a country where justice and equity is paramount, will it be a crime? I really don't get what most of you think about self. |

INEC promised us free and fair elections and we believe them. They promised us that our votes is going to count because they now have BVAS and assured us that our results will be ed immediately after voting from each pulling units and we believed them. I personally doesn't vote because of this rigging but I equally believed INEC for the 1st time in my life. I hussled to get my PVC, Went out to vote and stood in que under sun for hours until I voted. I waited till 6pm for my vote to be counted before going home. Almost 24hrs later, 30% of the results is not in INEC server because of massive rigging going on at different collation centers. Even if my candidate doesn't win, all I asked for was free and fair elections you promised us. I feel so used and scammed by INEC😭😭😭😭. Is it too much to ask for a free and fair elections? You that is celebrating this injustice doesn't know what you are getting into yet. Reality will soon be down on all of us. 10 Likes 2 Shares |
