In an era where digital skills are increasingly the gateway to opportunity, The Missing Pieces (TMP) , the EdTech division of Advantra Technology, is carving out a bold new path. Founded by visionary educator Mr. Mubarak Sani, TMP (The Missing Pieces) began as an informal mentorship initiative aimed at democratizing tech education, especially in marginalized communities. TMP began as a grassroots mentorship initiative but has rapidly evolved into a fast-growing EdTech platform. With a focus on accessibility, scalability, and hands-on digital skills training, TMP is determined to bridge the continent’s critical skills gap and prepare the next generation for the future of work. “Traditional education models have failed to keep pace with the demands of the digital economy,” said Sani. “At TMP, we are leveraging technology to deliver immersive, practical learning experiences that are affordable, flexible, and deeply aligned with industry needs.” Mubarak Sanni’s journey began modestly, with just three students enrolled in a Web Development track. Guided by a deep belief in education as a tool for transformation, he expanded the program organically. A pivotal moment came when a dedicated volunteer introduced the Product Design course, laying the groundwork for diversified offerings. Shortly thereafter, TMP launched its Data Analysis program, which has since become one of its most transformative and impactful initiatives. Reflecting on the program’s growth, Mubarak revealed that TMP’s Data Analysis track alone has successfully graduated eight cohorts: starting with only four students in Cohort 1, followed by three in Cohort 2, five in Cohort 3, and a significant leap to 18 students in Cohort 4. In total, TMP has trained approximately 42 students across multiple disciplines, a remarkable feat for a mission-driven project that started from humble beginnings. “From what started as one man’s personal mission, TMP has blossomed into a thriving learning community,” Sani said. “By God’s grace, we are empowering individuals with the technical skills, confidence, and mindset needed to thrive in today’s digital economy.” To further institutionalize TMP’s success and chart a sustainable growth trajectory, Mr. Idris Eboade ed the leadership team as Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer. With a strong background in business strategy and operational excellence, Eboade has been instrumental in formalizing the organization, developing scalable business models, creating robust financial projections, and leading the official registration of Advantra Technology Limited with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Under Eboade’s strategic stewardship, Advantra Technology has evolved into an innovative company dedicated to transforming education and enterprise through cutting-edge technology and expert consulting. The company now delivers immersive, practical learning experiences and tailored solutions designed to empower both individuals and organizations for the digital age. “Our vision is to become the leading force in tech-powered education across Africa, bridging critical skills gaps through world class programs and impactful partnerships,” Eboade stated. “Since ing as a corporate entity, Advantra has expanded its course offerings and is currently training new cohorts in Data Science, a vital skill area for the future economy.” Today, TMP’s four core learning tracks—Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering are in high demand, each maintaining robust waiting lists. Eboade emphasized the importance of evolving TMP’s curriculum to meet the ever-changing needs of the global tech industry. One of TMP’s most notable milestones to date is its strategic partnership with Faz College, Lagos. Through this collaboration, 68 students will undergo intensive software engineering training, marking a significant step toward achieving TMP’s broader mission of democratizing access to tech education. Unlike many early-stage educational ventures, TMP has demonstrated an ability to generate revenue, a powerful testament to the tangible value it offers and the increasing market demand for quality digital skills training. With a growing team, an ambitious vision, and a scalable model, TMP is well-positioned to become a leading force in Africa’s EdTech revolution, changing lives, one learner at a time. Mr. Mubarak Sani underscored the urgency of TMP’s mission in the context of Africa’s demographics. “Africa’s youth population is booming, yet access to tech education remains alarmingly limited. TMP is addressing this critical challenge by offering scalable, affordable, and hands-on training tailored for aspiring tech professionals from underserved backgrounds.” In its drive to revolutionize the continent’s educational value chain, Advantra Technology is actively seeking investment to expand infrastructure, broaden reach, and amplify its transformative impact across Nigeria and beyond. TMP’s comprehensive training model combines weekly hands-on workshops led by industry experts, remote internships, and career acceleration services, including CV review, LinkedIn and Upwork profile optimization, interview preparation, and weekly mentorship. Learners benefit from instructor-led sessions, self-paced modules, personalized dashboards, and immersive course content, ensuring a robust and adaptable educational experience. The University of Wyoming (UW) has taken a significant step forward in academic research with the launch of the first Bitcoin Research Institute (BRI) in August. On July 28, University of Wyoming Associate Professor and Bitcoin activist Bradley Rettler announced the establishment of the new institute on X. He is going to be the director of the institute. Rettler wrote the BRI seeks to produce top-notch, peer-reviewed publications from all academic fields regarding Bitcoin. The quality of a lot of academic bitcoin research is pretty low because it is conducted by non-bitcoin experts. It was predicted by Mora et al. that "Bitcoin alone could push emissions 2 degrees." He said that they overlooked the difficulty adjustment and were unaware of the block size limit. Certain individuals are ignorant of Layer 2s, such as Lightning, and the supply cap, which is possibly the most distinctive feature of Bitcoin, as was the case with Nassim Nicholas Taleb's infamous "Bitcoin Black Paper." Some make inaccurate inferences about the characteristics of bitcoin s. These mistakes end up in policy and journalism. In theory, Bitcoin has many facets, but in reality, it has much more. As journalists are not experts, they rely on scholars. They have been let down by far too many of those scholars. The fact that there is high-quality scholarly research on bitcoin is encouraging. Bitcoin is extremely well understood and explained by the work of Williams J. Luther, Josh Hendrickson, Margot Paez, Craig Warmke, Andrew M. Bailey, Matthew Ferranti, and others.
