I think setting up rice mill is not the problem but the technology to cultivate rice correctly, take for instance here in Lokoja I have heard from very reliable able source most of the paddy rice farm around Lokoja are bought by Kano business men for processing in their rice mills, thereby making rice expensivE Here in Lokoja.
I am of the opinion if the technology for rice farming can be gotten right, the price will come down , even the rice mill build by Kogi state government around Yagba area of the state is equally looking for paddy rice to feed the rice mill

For those who are conversant with the road, before the expansion of dangote cement phase 3 & 4 there were suggestions and advice to dangote to find an alternative route for the Lokoja kabba federal road, now the way the phase3 and phase4 was constructed the federal road is now in the middle of the factory, thereby causing untold hardship for commuters, because those trailer drivers pack any how they like and can even be discharging 600 bags of cement from one trailer to another, blocking the road and no body there say anything

You are very correct, it can get blocked anytime and can last from 2 hours to several hours even 2 days atimes . Some times you will be lucky and drive through no traffic
