Disclaimer This thread does not in anyway encourage promiscuity nor does it propergate indecency but rather it underscores some real facts for young ladies to be aware and more mindful of what's ahead.

So a very close friend of mine I happen to know very well married as a virgin, this was about 11 years ago. After about a year of blissful marriage, her marriage turned hell in the ensuing years that followed, she never opened up to me until last week when she did; she is blessed with kids, but her husband has been giving her hell in the marriage, abuses her, both physically, mentally and emotionally, carries various young girls and flaunts them to her face. She is about calling it quite. This is a girl I know very well as we grew up together, and I can vouch for her on many fronts, one thing I know about her is how genuine, cool headed and humble she is, she's someone meek at heart, I am sure she wouldn't create problems for her husband in a home, she was just unfortunate falling into the wrong hands

I also happen to come from a large family with 5 sisters (all married), from all my sisters, the one with the best marriage is the one that lived more of a party life style in school, attended many parties etc, and the one with the worse marriage was the one that married a virgin (actually, she has the kind of personality I wouldn't be surprised might cause problem for her , her husband and husband relatives, as she could be selfish).

My point is, for the Ladies, being chaste and maintaining high morals is something any parent will be proud about and will long for their child to uphold; but do not see that as all you need to portray yourself as suitable enough "wife material". Marriage is something very dynamic and complex, it entails a lot, and has to do with both you working on various facets of your life (of which sexuality is just one) as well as being able to choose an appropriate partner for yourself.

Do not see being a Virgin as the price you have to uphold for your husband, as it doesn't in anyway guarantee a good or perfect marriage (far from it), it is rather more dependent or perhaps a fine and infallible blend of various facets of your life viz a viz personality, charisma, behaviour, sensibility etc. as well as your keen sagaciousness in choosing an appropriate partner who is sensible and will be very well compatible with you..

Just a food for thought sageful minds can ruminate and mull over!!

Thank you very much for your time.

Yours truly

Vega100

There are huge prices to pay for eaten the forbidden fruit at the wrong time.

We are so used to sin that we can no longer imagine life without it.

The devil goes about deceiving humanity with his deceptive agents.

If your virginity philosophy goes against the will of God, because you're trying to be smarter than Him...to eat your cake, have it and put it in the freezer, you're in for it.

This applies to both males and females. If you're still a virgin, remain so till marriage, the benefits are significantly huge and unquantifiable even in spiritual .
However, do not lag behind in other aspects of holiness, purity, and righteousness.

The gospel of truth is foolishness to the children of perdition.

Pls i need a sincere advice here.

Im 3 months old in marriage and im so unhappy about the set up (my wife too)

My wife is a student and she tried everything to shift the marriage until easter this year but i refused due to many projects for the year. so we got married 3 months ago.

I took care of her bills since she got ission and we dated for 5 years

But she is so disrespectful and want to make important decisions in marriage which ive refused to allow.

Now, she claims i forced her into marriage and she is not mentally ready because i asked her to change to my family's name.

She has been good then bad then worse..And i think her words about forcing her into marriage has irreparably hurt me.

I spent over 3m of my cash to give her the wedding she wanted (Without any from her family) against my wish for a 1m wedding.

And despite getting the big wedding she wants before consenting to marry last year, she claims she is not mentally ready and was forced into marriage.

she has repeated this over and over and its making me go crazy..in fact im tired already

Right now she wants more time to be a wife..but im beginning to feel there is a love issue here..I feel she does not love me as she always claims

Though weve settled but we dont talk as usual..we dont even want to hear from each other...

it seems i nolonger love her like i used to..And worst still, continuing with the marriage when she claims she was forced is degrading and disreputable.

My question is, at what point should anyone seriously consider a divorce?

Pls seek the advice of elderly marriage counsellors... before you give up finally.
I beg of you!

At MM2, my loads were heavy and the local taxi drivers knew I was tired.
Their prices were crazy and they threatened or warned that I'd sleep at the airport if I don't quickly patronize them.

Bolt came to the rescue.

Price was very reasonable.

I can imagine why they're aggrieved. Why must we make life difficult for one another?

One another but note, why are the prices of rice still high?

I've never met President Buhari before, but these people with whom we have , making lives difficult, are my Buhari, Osinbajo, Lawan, Gbajabiamila, IGP, CJN, etc. They are the real problems of this beautiful country.

Here is my problem with the article here.

The guy praises Canadians for obeying their rules.....and links it to their leaders....leading by example.

Well, the issue is, leaders come from the same old followers.

The truth is, Nigerians know the rules, and refuse to follow them. We bribe Customs officers, attack them when they refuse to let us through with our illegal goods, and then we complain when Customs drastically closes the borders.

Millions of people have over the last 20 years of our democracy willingly voted for corrupt polticans from both parties, and when some of us complain, we are laughed at. And then when things don't work...what did you exepct. We replaced PDP with a APC that is just their twin....an exact replica.

Nigerians don't pay their bills, jump traffic lights, jump queues, etc...don't do things right...and then they complain when they produce leaders who do the same thing.

So, what do you expect when Nigerians are a people who don't do the right thing? You expect them to produce leaders who would do the right thing.

As a university student living off campus , out of about 20-30 students living in a student dorm, only 10 of us were contributing to the light bill. The rest refused.

Abeg....you cannot expect a mango tree to start producing apples.

P.S Canadians are crossing the broder into the USA for medical care. So, Canada is as bad as Nigeria, eh? (Sarcasm fully intended).

P.S 2...El Midgeto Rufai...made a promise to enroll his kids in primary school in his state. And when he tried to take measures to actually improve the schools, by removing underqulified teachers, some of whom could not communicate in English, guess who opposed him?> Nigerians. And Kaduna schools are back to square one.

These are all symptoms of a bigger behemoth of a problem. Let's first define our union as a country by asking salient questions on how we got here.

The problem lies in our history: our so-called founding fathers tried to warning us because they anticipated these ugly developments.

A democracy is only as wise as its citizens, and a democracy of ignorant citizens can be as dangerous as a dictatorship.”

Tobbydhayor90:
Socio-Economic Rights and ability Project (SERAP) has sent a Freedom of Information (FoI) request to Mrs Zainab Ahmed, Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, asking her to “urgently provide information on the total amount of money paid to contractors from the $460 million loan obtained in 2010 from China to fund the apparently failed Abuja Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) contract, the loan which the Federal Government has continued to re-pay.”

SERAP urged Mrs Ahmed to “disclose specific details of local contractors, if any, that have received funds from the loan for the CCTV contract, reportedly awarded to China’s ZTE Corporation, as well as the implementation status of the project.”

SERAP also sought: “disclosure of details of repayment for other Chinese loans for allegedly failed projects between 1999--2015, the status of any such projects, and details of local and Chinese contractors involved in the projects. We urge you to clarify if the N1.5 billion paid in 2010 for another apparently failed contract to construct the headquarters of the Code of Conduct Bureau is part of another Chinese loan.”

In the FoI request dated 25 October 2019 and signed by SERAP deputy director Kolawole Oluwadare, the organization said: “We are concerned that Nigerians are being made to pay for the Chinese loans for apparently failed projects, and for which they have not benefited in any way, shape or form. Transparency in the spending of Chinese loans is good for everyone, as this would help to increase the effectiveness, legitimacy, and contribution of the loans to the development of public goods and services, and the general public interests.”

SERAP said it would take legal action “if the requested information is not provided to us within 14 days of the receipt and/or publication of this letter.”

SERAP said: “Servicing Chinese loans for failed projects is double jeopardy for Nigerians—they can neither see nor benefit from the projects; yet, they are made to pay both the loans and the accrued interests. The loans should never have been obtained in the first place, as successive governments should have drawn funds from the over $670 million (N241.2 billion) budgeted annually as security votes, but which remain synonymous with official corruption and uned for.”

The organization expressed “concern that the $460 million loan got for the failed Abuja CCTV project and the N1.5 billion for the construction of CCB headquarters, which may be part of another Chinese loan, may have been mismanaged or stolen, and in any case, remain uned for.”

The FoI request read in part: “SERAP is concerned that the allegations of corruption involving the use of the funds and other similar Chinese loans may be responsible for the security challenges confronting Abuja, and the limited capacity of the CCB to discharge its constitutional and statutory mandates to prevent corruption in asset declarations of presidents, vice-presidents, governors, and other public officers, as prescribed by the Nigerian constitution of 1999 (as amended).”

“As trustee of public funds, SERAP contends that your Ministry has a legal duty to disclose details of spending on the $460 million Abuja CCTV project and N1.5 billion for the construction of CCB headquarters, to the beneficiaries (Nigerians) of the trust, if and when called upon to do so. Any failure or refusal to provide the information will also be clearly inconsistent with the letter and spirit of the FoI Act.”

“If the allegations of mismanagement and corruption in the execution of projects for which loans have been obtained from China are true, such allegations will clearly amount to a fundamental breach of national anticorruption laws and the country’s international anticorruption obligations including under the UN Convention against Corruption to which Nigeria is a state party. The facts relating to these serious allegations require your immediate and urgent disclosure and clarifications.”

“As a key agency of government, the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning has a sacred duty to ensure that the country’s loans including those obtained from China are transparently and ably used solely for the purposes for which the loans are obtained, and for the effective development of public goods and services as well as the general public interests.”

“This implies providing strong leadership in the efforts to curb public sector corruption, and to refer to appropriate anticorruption agencies any allegations of corruption in which any agencies of government and/or contractors may be involved. This leadership is important if the Ministry is to enjoy the public trust and confidence essential for its effectiveness and impact.”

“We would like you to clarify if the N1.5 billion mobilisation fee reportedly paid in September 2010 to contractors for the construction of the headquarters of the CCB in Abuja is part of another loan obtained from China.”

“We are concerned that the CCB building project is still in foundation level several years after payment of N1.5 billion of the total contract fee of N3.5billion. However, the contract was reportedly reviewed in October 2012 from N3.5 billion to N8.7 billion, with the contract agreement signed on February 5, 2013.”

“SERAP notes that the consequences of corruption are felt by citizens on a daily basis. Corruption exposes them to additional costs to pay for health, education and istrative services. Another consequence of corruption is the growing inequality in the country, where the privileged few have access to all public resources, while the vast majority of citizens are deprived of access to public goods and services.”

“Also, corruption undermines economic development of the country, trapping the majority of Nigerians in poverty and depriving them of employment opportunities.”

SERAP therefore urged Mrs Ahmed to:

1. Disclose the total amounts of money, if any, that have been paid/released for the execution of projects for which loans have been obtained from China;

2. Compel the contractors and companies including Chinese companies that have been paid from the loans to go back to sites and urgently complete the projects;

3. Suspend repayment of any Chinese loans until there are specific guarantees by local and Chinese contractors and companies that transparency and ability will be ensured in the execution of the affected projects;

4. Disclose the amount of interests so far paid on the loans obtained for the project which have allegedly not been fully, properly or satisfactorily executed;

5. Refer any allegations of corruption involving the execution of projects for which loans have been obtained from China to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (IC) for investigation;

6. Ensure that anyone involved in alleged corruption in projects ed by China is brought to justice if there is relevant and sufficient issible evidence;

7. Set up processes and procedures to safeguard Chinese loans and mitigate corruption risks in the spending of the loans and to promote fair and free competition, consistent with Nigeria’s anti-corruption legal frameworks and international standards.

http://serap-nigeria.org/foi-serap-seeks-details-of-spending-on-failed-460m-cctv-other-chinese-loans.ngo/

Good step, SERAP.

We are watching and listening as you follow this case to its logical conclusion. Nigeria must move forward!

AFRICANS

Africa (Alkebulan) used to be the most advanced people in the whole word - the real cradle of civilization.

The moment the people (sub-national entities) undermine the perpetual need to cooperate, Alkebulan's doom started.

It's enemies penetrated and stole it's lands, precious artefacts, and glory.

Then they changed it's name to Africa. Name changes continues till date, by the way.

The crux of the matter is:

Disunity is the bane of the black man.

The Western world have serious disagreements and conflicts till date. Several trade wars are still going on till now. However, the speak one voice when it's time to scramble for African resources...and do not get in each other's way of defrauding 'outsiders'.

If Nigeria splits, there'll be an emergence of new problems that only unity and justice can solve.

Then divide and rule system will be rekindled anew to further divide us.

The question now is:

Is it too late for the black man?

No problem can be solved until it's fully understood.

1. Introduce power foods - garlic, ginger, turmeric, scent leaves, etc. - to gradually heal her body.

2. Have her visit the hospital to see those living with diseases caused by such drinks. Analyze the cost of treatment, starting with death.

3. Introduce her to smoothies: start out with sweeter ingredients such as dates, tiger nuts, oranges, pineapple, watermelon, etc. Then gradually introduce cucumber, and even the least sweet ones. She'll be fascinated by the results and will get used to them.

4. She should then begin training her taste buds to accommodate bitter food items, which are generally the best for the human body.

5. She should also drink lots of water to replace the sweet drink cravings.

6. Pray for her. Only God cures and changes difficult situations.

Go right ahead.

Fellow Nigerians, I would like you to know that a lot more is happening in this country than is been reported on mainstream media. And it is mostly deliberate - "he who pays the piper dictates the tune."

However, powerful foreign government cannot be fooled by the contents of our often revised, false or insufficient news. The have huge economic interest in this country so it's only normal that they'd be sure to monitor every development in the entire country in real time without us knowing it.

They have super cameras and sensors and all that can see everything from the sky and all. This explains why what they report concerning us is usually more accurate and credible than what our own media outlets report.

Customs Service, retried Col. Hameed Ali has insisted that all import and export of goods from the nation’s land borders remain banned until there is an agreement with neighbouring countries on the kind of goods that should enter and exit Nigeria.

According to him, the measure is for the security agencies to be able to scan the goods entering the country.

He maintained all goods must only enter through the legitimate air and sea ports where they can undergo thorough scanning and certified fit for consumption.

According to him: “We hope that by the time we get to the end of this exercise, we would have exactly between we and our neighbors agree on the type of goods that should enter and exit our country.

“For now, all goods, whether illicit or non-illicit, are banned from going and coming into Nigeria.

“Let me add that for the avoidance of doubt that we included all goods because all goods can equally come through our seaports.

“For that reason, we have deemed it necessary for now that importers of such goods should go through our controlled boarders where we have scanners to the kind of goods and how healthy to our people can be conducted.”

The Customs boss broke the news in Abuja during a t press briefing on t boarder patrol that is codenamed ‘EX-SWIFT RESPONSE.”

The Ex-SWIFT RESPONSE is coordinated by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) comprising the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies to address trans-boarder security issues.

He insisted that despite the rights for movement of persons the enabling ECOWAS protocols, there must be primacy of security over such rights.

Ali, who was asked whether the Federal Government had not breached the rights of the citizenry to movement and international trade, said that “when it comes to security, all laws take back a seat.

“We want to our nation, we want make sure that our people are protected. You must be alive and well for you to begin to ask for your rights. Your rights come when you are well and alive.

“Go and the people in Maiduguri when Boko Haram was harassing their lives, the only question was survival, there is no question of right. This time Nigeria must survive first then before we begin to ask for our rights.”

Details shortly…

https://thenationonlineng.net/breaking-customs-orders-complete-border-import-export-ban/

Even if I do not the 'sledge harmer to kill a fly' approach, the modus operandi of the Nigerian Customs must be thoroughly reviewed for effective and efficient performance.

On the other hand, the Nigerian government must ensure that local farmers and the producers of goods and services in general are exhaustively encouraged. This is naturally lead to the natural death of smuggling and importation of the categories of goods and services that we can produce in Nigeria.

We're OK if you condemn us and our form of worship than to say fine things to us when you're not ready to live by the truth! Matthew 7:24-27

No basis for argument. I know the Truth and He has set me free by His grace and mercy.

There's no such thing as 'true Christians'; or 'fake Christians'.

John 10:14
"I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine."

John 3:18
"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

John 10:27
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:"

It's either you are a Christian, i.e, belonging in the herd of Jesus Christ, washed by His precious Blood, with the help of the Holy Spirit - the Third Person in Trinity... or you're on the outside of this divine arrangement.

It is true 'Jehovah's Witnesses' are in Putin's black book. Let it be established in this space and time that Christian's are the most endangered species in the world right now.
In Nigeria alone, so many Christians are being slaughtered whether the media pays attention to it or not. Why?
Anyone who challenges the authority of the adversary shall face tribulation. How many Christians were killed in the first century? What about twelve disciples?

Read Matthew 24: from verse 4.

Verse 11 says:
"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many."

Jesus loves you.

Repent ye.

Well, what do you think?
How should a true Christian participate in forums of this kind? Mark 11:27-33 wink

That was in relation to your attempt to undermine Christian's that aren't of 'Jehovah's Witness'.

Well, there's no need to start an argument here...since we are not on the same path.

I wouldn't condemn your religious inclination. Christian's don't do that.

alBHAGDADI:

There is a movement today which believes the tithe which they are to pay to God should be given to the widows, fatherless, orphans or the needy in general. This movement wants to give the tithe to the needy directly from their pocket without giving it to the Church. They even have a Bible age to back it up. Let's examine it.

Deuteronomy 14:22-29 (KJV)
22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

As seen above, nowhere in the age are people ordered to give the tithe directly to the needy. God only says the needy should not be forsaken. How does one forsake the needy in this case? You forsake the needy when you fail to tithe, not when you don't give it to them directly.

The tithe is used for different purposes in the house of God. A portion caters for the priests, a portion sees to the care of the house of God, another portion caters for the needy etc. All of these are supervised by God's priest. So when you tithe, the needy comes to the house of God and they are cared for from it.

The reason why the above age says the tithe has to be taken to the place where God puts his name, i.e the House of God, is because it is from there the distribution to the purposes it serves is done.

Now, there are two kinds of people in the movement that want to give their tithe directly to the needy by themselves. It sound a like a great idea to give to the needy. But they are both wrong. One class is sincere but sincerely wrong, while the other is just being a thief.

An example of such movement is seen in the gospel ages talking about the woman with an alabaster of expensive ointment who poured it on Jesus to show appreciation for what he did for her.

When the disciples saw what she did, they felt awkward about it. They wondered why the expensive ointment wasn't sold and the money given to the poor. They were since but sincerely wrong.

Matthew 26:8-11 (KJV)
8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

Now, what about the class that is wrong and also being a thief about it? That class has people with the mindset of Judas Iscariot. See what he said below and how the Bible described him and those who reason alike.

John 12:4-6 (KJV)
4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

Let me tell you something about many of those who love to say their tithe ought to be given to the poor directly by themselves without taking it to the Church. They are thieves. How do I know this? Just read on.

The Bible clearly states that the tithe belongs to God and he even said it has to be brought into his house as seen below.

Leviticus 27:30
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD.

Malachi 3:10 (KJV)
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house,

Now, these people who go give it directly to the poor are simply robbing God. They are not to decide how God should spend what belongs to him. They are to pay it to the church and allow God and his priest decide how to spend it. But no, they think it is right the tithe is given to the poor and needy themselves.

Ask them what they did with their own 90 percent. They spent it all on themselves without caring for the poor out of it. But it is God's own money they now want to give to the poor. That's robbery. They are Judas Iscariot, because if they truly cared for the poor, they would have something from their own 90 percent to give to the poor and allow God enjoy his own 10 percent. They are like Judas who had the money bag but never gave to the poor from it but is eyeing the expensive oil spent on Jesus who is God.

Mathew 26:10-11
10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

The moment you decide to neglect the word of God by giving the tithe to the needy yourself, you will get consumed by pride. There's this feeling you will get when you give it to the needy yourself. You will feel fulfilled, however, that's you feeling puffed up and consumed by pride because you did the desire of your heart, not what God ordered.

Guess what? You have taken God's glory because the people you gave it to will praise you and henceforth hold you in high-esteem. All of these belongs to God, but you have cornered it to yourself.

You used God's money to buy those things for yourself - that's another offence. You also prevent the needy from going to God's house to seek help where they will be exposed to his word. Now, it's your own house they will go to.

Guess what will happen to God's house? It will become empty because there will be no priest nor workers to run it because they are not getting paid and can't feed. They will go look for job elsewhere. The Church will become empty because the needy won't be there to fill it up and there won't be a priest to minister to them. Such a church will die. That is what Satan wants. He wants the church to be starved of funds so it will die and souls will continue to go to hell. You have foolishly aided the devil's dream because you chose to follow your heart and emotions instead of the word of God. Your way seemed right to you over the word of God.

What you have to do is pay the tithe to the house of God and never worry how it's spent. It's not your money, so why bother yourself about it? Also, make sure it is God's house you are paying the money to, not some crooked man running a business center and claiming it is a church. Pay the money into the bank God uses and it will get to him, not in the bank he doesn't use.

Next time, follow what the Bible says, not your heart which is prone to emotions. The thought of our hearts sometimes seems right but are wrong. Many of the tithe we pay are not always used to maintain the church. They are sent to jungles where missionary men are facing dangers to spread the gospel. Don't hinder God's work by disobeying his word and following your heart.

Thank you.

Thanks for this insightfull message.
But i think this scourge is spiritual.

An aspect of spirituality submits to the will of man.

Man is the pivot in this context.
