Where was it written in the bible that Peter was a poor man.
A fisher men those days are never poor . people

And Peter couldn't take his mother in-law to hospital if he's that Rich.

Well I'm not surprised. He had told us before that Adam n Eve eat their tithe that was why they were driven from the garden. His mentee told us poverty was what lead Christ to death. His father told us that Job lost everything because he didn't pay tithe. Brase up for the next.

Jesus Christ is God Almighty.

According to Meta A.I

Yes, according to the Bible, Jesus frequently interacted with and ministered to poor people. He:
- *Healed the sick and marginalized*: Jesus touched and healed people with various ailments, often ignoring social norms (Matthew 9:20-22, Luke 17:11-19).
- *Ate with tax collectors and sinners*: Jesus shared meals with people considered outcasts, demonstrating his willingness to engage with those on the fringes of society (Matthew 9:10-13, Luke 19:1-10).
- *Taught about caring for the poor*: Jesus emphasized the importance of caring for the poor, widows, and orphans, and warned against neglecting them (Matthew 25:31-46, Luke 14:12-14).
- *Praised those who gave to the poor*: Jesus commended those who gave generously to the poor, like the widow who gave her last coins (Mark 12:41-44, Luke 21:1-4).

Some notable examples of Jesus' interactions with poor people include:
- *The woman at the well*: Jesus engaged with a Samaritan woman, who was likely poor and marginalized, and revealed himself as the Messiah (John 4:1-42).
- *The feeding of the 5,000*: Jesus fed a large crowd of people, demonstrating his comion and care for those in need (Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:30-44).

Jesus' ministry prioritized the poor, marginalized, and vulnerable, reflecting God's heart for justice, comion, and care for all people.

Some of them are very unsincere, especially the once they call "Olopo" in yoruba. I a family member wedding I attended some years ago. "If u see the fresh fish stew and some other meat wey this caterer carry". When the mother of the bride confronted her, the caterer swore with her children, that her children would die if she took anything. Trust women, the mother of the bride immediately reversed the curse that nothing would happen to the caterer children; she went into the caterer car and brought out a big cooler of fresh fish stew and plenty of meat. Everyone was looking. Meanwhile, some fresh guest just came and they were claiming no food again.

There are some friends of mine whom I know very well that I won't ever allow to get close to the woman who I want to marry,no matter how I may trust my woman........

Also, DNA test is more cheaper than training a child.....So the earlier you do it when the child is born or you live to face the consequences in years to come.....Choose wisely...

Crude as the method is, people are trying to survive. If you go round Nigeria looking for a Saint before you can help, I bet you, you won't find a single one. So just do what you must and let their conscientious judge them. That way, you would've taught them a lesson they won't quickly forget. None of us is truly righteous.

It's ridiculous how you either twist the scripture to post a narrative that suits you or so ignorant of that God's word teaches.

That portion of scripture you quoted doesn't prove that God has a persona vendetta with wealthy people. Through scriptures, God had wealthy men.

Abraham, His friend, was wealthy.
Jacob was wealthy.
Joseph was wealthy.
David was wealthy.
Solomon was wealthy.
Job was wealthy.
Many many of God's people in the Old Testament were wealthy.

In the new testament, Joseph of Arimathea was wealthy.
Erastus was wealthy.
Barnabas was wealthy.
Many in the early church were rich!

Abusing a Bible verse to push a silly narrative would not suffice.

You can't build a doctrine on just one single age, more so one single phrase which is misunderstood...

Mark 10:17-25
[17]And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
[18]And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
[19]Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
[20]And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
[21]Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
[22]And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
[23]And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
[24] And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that TRUST IN RICHES to enter into the kingdom of God!
[25]It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Apparently, the clarification here is what Mark supplies us. Jesus wasn't talking about the average rich man anywhere, but a rich man that trusts in His riches instead of trusting in God.

And that is a no-brainer. To trust in riches is to not trust in God. The Epistles also echo the same thought to rich Christians.

1 Timothy 6:17-18
[17]Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
[18]That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

God is not against wealth. Wealth is a useful tool for His work on earth OBVIOUSLY. What is against God is to allow money to take God's place. That's what Jesus and His Apostles addressed.

shelve the OP's Bible confusion

Have you taken time to follow the Confession of Benny Hinn for the past few years and one recently? If you have to use every gimmick(exact word of Benny Hinn) to extract money from believers, are you not trusting in money rather that God? Some of these pastors pay hugely to these foreign pastors just to tap there anounting, Pay for there hotel rooms not to be clean in order to tap there grace. Is that not the gospel of Simon Mongus(money for anointing)? Benny Hinn coursin said they needed those money to fund their expensive life style. A pastor in Nigeria said he was denied from seeing benny hinn in his hotel, but when he mentioned the money he brought(about $700,000), they gave him express permission. Most of these pastors in Nigera are using Pastor Hinn style or sometimes they invite him to do it for them and they split the spoil. I pray that they will all come to the knowledge of the Truth.

Mine was long ago. I was working in Benin city Airport. One guy who was friend to my boss, sells laptop. I told him i needed a laptop. The guy had another friend of his who also sells laptop too. They were both in the electronics business. Usually, he would asked the younger siblings of this his friend to steal there brother's laptops and bring it to him, that he will send them abroad since there brother refuse to help them. They have stollen several laptops to him and he had sold them promissing them visa and all that. Unknown to me, he will bring these two boys to the airport, they will seat in one corner and be pointing at me that i'm the one that is processing there visa and that very soon, they will be out of the country. So the two boys kept stealling there brothers laptop to this criminal minded guy. So, when i told him i needed laptop, he brought one. I paid in full, N110k. Two days latter, they caught the boys. Immediately, they went after this guy, and those boys said there is one guy in the airport that is processing there visa who he gave one laptop. Fortunately for me that very day, i was off duty. The police called me and asked me to bring the laptop to the station and for questioning. Fortunately for me again, the guy they have been stealing laptop from came to the station and said he doesn't have this kind of laptop brand they sold to me. But before he came to indentify the laptop, they had already asked me to remove my tros. Only Boxers was on my waist. The floor was sticky. I met the guy that sold the laptop inside the cell too. He was so calm as if nothing was happening. My boss came around, spoke to one or two persons b4 they released me that same day at about 7.30pm after about 5-6hrs. It was not funny guys.

Please be mindful of that cool guy that comes around and play with everyone, even buy lunch for u sometimes. I'm speaking to someone right now.

We carry this mystery in a earthen vessel. This vessel is affected by enviromental and emotional conditions. It has nothing do with what most of us think like secret sins, etc. A Minister of God must understand his body, when to eat, when to rest, when to go for break, when to go for check up, when to say sorry for my last teaching and apologies, when to cry, when to speak to someone etc. All these will lightened your emotional space and physical space. God is Good.
