Why is corruption so entrenched in every facet of Nigerian society. What will quarantine officer and custom do with toothpaste. Those miscreants in uniform can never stop bringing shame to this country. |

I hope 3SC can get another away victory or draw in Kano, a difficult as though but possible. 3SC have been spectacular lately with Cletus Itodo and Tope Orelope orchestrating things from the middle. Gbenga Ogunbote has done well to turn the team around within a short time. |

Well said Ben Bruce, but if you had given the outgoing president this same form of advice, may be he would have performed better. In as much as i share and believed in your views about what the newly elected president needs to do to better the lots of the people of this great country, I am also throwing the challenge to you too as a senator elect to lead by examples, raise the motion to cut down the over bloated allowances in the upper and lower house. Forget individual selfish course, the new government in the interest of the country, ensure your constituency feel your presence by being an agent for positive change. 3 Likes |

This is really scary, is there no way of stopping these governors or limiting the extent of loan they can seek both internal and external ? Loan should be collected based on a healthy IGR and loans should not be spent on recurrent expenditures. The job ahead for the incoming government is demanding and their ability to form a good economic team will go a long way in implementing people's friendly economic policies.

I doubt any body in Abia state will vote for any party associated with Theodore Orji, he did nothing as governor of the state apart from brandishing himself 'Ochendu'. Another four years for any body associated with Orji means further regression for Abians. INEC need to replace all the REC s in those states going for supplementary elections as they've all been compromised.

Neglecting the south west region is one of the biggest mistake he made, and the people he related with in the south west were those with questionable character. South West stood solidly by GEJ during the 2011 election, but got little in return from his government. You said it all, there are things he should have done differently, but this should serve as a lesson for the incoming government. Nigerians are wiser now and power of social media can not be underestimated, information moves faster. |

Truckpusher: Were you given an equal and fair share of the cake when Jonathan was there? In as much as I any move that will bring rapid development to the Niger Delta region, but Niger Deltans need to help themselves, tell me how much NDDC have been able to do with the resources given to them? We need to start holding our regional leaders able for their stewardship. Buhari should live up to his words as soon he resumes duty and give us a road map towards achieving all these lofty ideas. We need a positive change from the top that will extend to the masses. |

He is entitled to his own opinion. All I know is that he did not know our country more than us. If Buari is week for not getting 70% of the votes, that shows that the primary was competitive unlike the anointed candidate of PDP. Buari is one of the few noble men remaining in this country. I belong to know party, but I'm giving my to GMB.

I can't see any sense in the family's decision to send Iheanacho to Man City. Portugal could have been a better place for his development. At his age EPL will be too tough for him physically, he needs a place where he can be nurtured to improve his game both physically and technically without any undue pressure. Anyway, I wish him the best in his sojourn to England. |

This is a lesson for us as a Nation. Nobody or country will take us serious until we start showing sign of rapid infrastructural development, reduction in corruption rate, transparency in election and human capital development. Though we did well for South Africa during the time of apartheid, but that is history now. What stops us from producing leaders like Mandela, nation builders and not leaders that are selfish and corrupt, tearing us apart on ethnic and religious sentiments. It was like a stab in my heart watching leaders that did nothing to help our brothers cause in South Africa during apartheid being accorded the honor of making presentation at Madiba's burial. 2 Likes |

The first three are top notch. Adidas should consult this designer and pay him royalty before stealing his designs. Nigerians are very creative if given the opportunity, these designs are far better than all that Adidas have ever designed for Nigeria. Thumbs up for good work guy. |

Screwface: I hope they counted the ones in the University Of Ibadan zoo? I saw about 4-6 of them two weeks ago when I went sight-seeing, and oh boy, I almost wet my trousies with my urineI saw 4 of them two weeks ago that i visited UI zoo too, though they were just sleeping and refused to give us some display. May be they were angry that the numbers are reducing too. Poachers better watch out. |
