I predict that Kwankwaso will later step down and throw his weight behind Atiku to ensure that Atiku wins

I predict that Obi will do well in the South East, South South, North central and Christian parts of the North, to come second place

I predict that Bola Tinubu wont win any state outside the South West, and come last amongst all three men

If atiku doesn’t win anywhere down south, how then can he win?

Labour party just keep presenting products that are too good for the current Nigeria political arena..

Is it possible we can go from Buhari /osinbanjo to Obi/Ahmed..

No way grin

What should matter is winning, they can't win.

Judging by what's on ground now.

What’s on ground now? I wish to learn

Yes obi will try...but as an idealist I see things the way the are and I dnt see him winning come next next....but the popularity he's gaining will help him in the long run... albeit, not in 2023 but in the far future.
My take...!

Oga!!! Even if he picks buhari as running mate you won’t vote for him. So vote who you want to vote

Weak, both aspirants are level-headed technocrats, with no history of extremism , to either Tribe or religion, they can't survive Nigeria political arena...

They can't withstand Tinubu or Atiku, Obvious both will withdraw eventually.

Me APC grin, just facing facts. Both are aspirants that represents what Nigeria should be, but unfortunately Nigeria isn't there yet, an incompetent extremists will definitely win.

You are expecting them to withdraw? Hahahagahahaha

There seems to be no end in sight of the crisis bedeviling the Labour Party as some of its stakeholders have accused it's Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi of mounting pressure his proposed running mate , Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed to sign an agreement which demands that Datti serves only term as Vice President and also makes a financial commitment of two hundred billion Naira as contribution to fund the campaign.

Findings have also revealed that in addition to the above demands that Datti the founder and Pro-chancellor of Baze University Abuja utilises his position to mandate the students and staff to obtain and avail their Permanent voters card (PVC) to vote for the Labour Party Presidency in the 2023 General elections.

This is coming barely few hours after a former Deputy National Chairman of Labour Party, LP, Calistus Uju Okafor disowned the Presidential ambition of former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi which vowing not to backtrack on his suit currently challenging the constitutionality of the Abure-led national working committee of the party in Court which produced Obi as the Presidential candidate of the LP. The development as gathered fueled the recent call by a northern establishment on Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed to decline the vice Presidential slot offer.

According to reports as gathered by polity.com a source close to the Julius Abure led LP executive hinted that the pronouncement of the businessman and politician as running mate to the Labour Party candidate is being delayed as a result of Peter Obi’s demands which some of them described as stringent and inconsiderate.

Pleading anonymity the source further unveiled that a series of meetings had been ongoing inorder to meet up with July 15 Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadline for the submission of the list of vice Presidential, governorship and House of Assembly candidates by political parties.

The insistence of Obi's stance that Datti will serve only one term as vice president and also commit 200 billion campaign fund has been a major c the wheel as majority of the party stakeholders including Datti have out rightly rejected. According to the source, g such agreement will be a betrayal to the North, adding that though the party is in need of funds considering the financial power of their opponents Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar, Datti will however not be induced to make such outrageous commitment. Disclosing further the source said that Datti has also refused to compromise his position as pro Chancellor of the University to mandate the University communities to submit their voter cards, he added that talks are still ongoing as at the time of filing this report its however unclear if any agreement has been reached.

Another bottle neck as disclosed by the source is that fact that Baba-Ahmed hails from the popular Baba Ahmed family in Kaduna, whose brother is Hakim Baba-Ahmed, spokesperson of the Northern Elders’ Forum, NEF hence the demand to refuse the offer.

"The situation is very difficult as a result of the demands being made by Peter Obi. Though he has brought the Party to limelight, his demands are outrageous. We are trying our best to manage the situation.

"We are still battling with our court case over the leadership of the Party but Peter Obi is not helping matters by insisting that Datti agrees to serve only one term and gives 200 billion. Even on social media we are tagged as the IPOB party. How can you expect Datti to agree to such demands? We cannot even agree to such a thing because it will cause a serious problem later in the future and it will be a huge slap to the Northerners.

"According to our last meeting we are looking at a budget of about six hundred billion to fund the campaign if we are to match Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress and Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party but asking Datti to provide 200 billion out of 600 is very inconsiderate. It's just like buying the position of the Vice Presidential ticket when Peter Obi ed; we never made such a demand, not even to Pat Utomi, the source is quoted to have said.

Obi, a former Governor of Anambra and former presidential aspirant of the PDP ed LP on May 27 after he withdrew from the race for PDP’s presidential ticket and also resigned from the party in a letter dated May 24. He won the presidential ticket of LP at the party’s convention in Asaba on May 30.

Lol....you can't be apolitical and Obi-dient same time.
So by your analysis Obi has no hope in North Central.

You don’t get it do you? In 2015, I was one of those deceived that buhari is the better deal and I ed him. Seeing how he underperformed, in 2019, I opted for atiku because he was the better option. Now I am voting for Peter obi because I think he is who Nigeria needs. If you notice one trend with what I have said, it’s the fact that I don’t vote for political parties but the candidates. Lastly, this election is open. No one is sure of who would win where...

Lol

This guy sensationalizes everything.

He does not address issues to a logical end.

He just reels out stats to impress listeners without offering a reasonable solution.

Subsidy is a delicate national issue. Until we have local production capacity, its removal will hurt this weak economy.

Dangote refinery should come on board. FG should strike a contract refining deal with him. He can also be paid for refining with crude oil. That will tremendously reduce pressure on forex and freight costs. It will boost Naira value, as over 50% of our forex goes to oil importation.

That is the only way subsidy can be addressed.

Peter Obi is just a noisemaker

You want him to start reeling out solutions that the government in power would steal and take the credit for it? No na

The reason it has not been like that again is because INEC has done enough to reduce rigging. Most of those high votes you referred to were pure over voting. By the way, the north central is part of the North too.

Yes they are, but the NC tilts towards the south. Plateau, benue, nasarawa and abuja are pure PDP strongholds. Niger voted APC because of candidate buhari as they have always done since 2003. I’ll concede kwara to tinubu while kogi is a swing state.

That was because buhari's C was a sectional party only restricted to the north. You can't try that now. If you lose to a national party like pdp or Apc in the north, you're doomed because they have the capacity to win good votes in the south to finish you off unlike the defunct C. Hope that's clear enough for you to understand.

Loosing to a national party in the north is dependent on one’s performance in the south and NC. Secondly, the reason why we hype northern votes too much is because of voter apathy in the south. Back in 2011, 6 states in the SS and SE combined produced over a million votes each, which was enough to cancel out votes in the far northern states. Even plateau that aligns with the south produced over a million votes. It has never been like that ever since but this time around, expect very high turn outs in the south.

Datti a refined gentleman but there's nothing he can do for Obi in the north. He'll be consumed in the north by the pdp, Apc and kwankwansiya gladiators. Even in his hometown in kaduna he'll be flogged mercilessly.

Newsflash! Sambo lost the north to buhari in 2011 yet Jonathan won. Anything else?

Here we go again. Politics is not based on emotion.
You nominate someone that is unknown in his region (the biggest political contributors in the Country) and you expect to Win
Majority of the voters don't know of the point you just raised.
I WISH'LL LUCK ANYWAY.

Those voters that don’t know the points raised are their lives better today? Are they secure? How many of them have jobs? So long as our focus is only to win election and not how they can render good governance, we will all continue to suffer.

If we are to go with your thinking, then why didn't the North East their own in Lawan as against giving bloc votes to Asiwaju? Furthermore, In 2019, Atiku from the North East was on the ballot and he was defeated even in his own zone. A strong and grass root oriented politician like Zulum will give Atiku a run for his money in the North East zone. It isn't simply about Number 1 or Number 2.

That is because the north eastern governors and top politicians influenced the choice of BAT. Maybe you have also forgotten that primary and general election are not the same.

As we approach the deadline INEC gives parties to send names of candidates, running mates on the 17th of this month, the LP, APC and NNPP presidential candidates are yet to submit their running mates to the 2023 presidential elections.

The Labour Party which is in discuss have had several failed merger talks with the NNPP to produce Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano state, its vice presidential candidate with both sides refusing to bow to the other.

The clock is tickling towards the 17th. And as a er of the Labour Party presidential candidate, I am worried for our great party and therefore wish to bring to the knowledge of the leadership some of the finest persons in the North that can help our great party win majority of the northern votes in the coming elections.

So I welcome all of our great party, the OBIdients youths and well meaning Nigerians to click the Like and share button on their preferred choiced candidate that I listed below. Hopefully our party leadership will see this article and act as fast as possible.

I wonder when Lagos became Yoruba land. Even the Aworis (Benin, whose prince founded Aworiland) is quiet only for Yoruba Muslims to be making noise.

Why do Afonjas hate anything good?

Well, Peter Obi for president
, if an Afonja says it's good, it's actually bad. If an Afonja says it's bad, it's actually good. So, if an Afonja said Buhari is the best thing after Ofada rice, you're seeing the result. Now they're saying Tinubu is the best thing after groundnut cake, you can guess the rest.

Vote Peter Obi for progress
Vote Peter Obi for a secure country
Vote Peter Obi to rescue the poor
Vote Peter Obi to avoid waste of scarce resources
