Sorry....just woke up now and the cold hasn’t been fair with me.

At the POE;
I presented my CAS, Covid test, ission Letter and Locator form print outs. The man looked straight to the Location form at first glance and asked me the address on it...(What address will you stay at for your first 10 days in the UK?) I told him my Aunty’s place and he asked who she lives with.
He asked to confirm my School name, location and course and how many years it is.
He was looking at me while I was answering the questions.

For residential and Home address, I put my Aunty’s address in UK but I think your Nigerian address should be there.
The main thing on the Location form they want to see and ask is ; What address will you stay at for your first 10 days in the UK?

Arrival time is always in the arriving country time so it would be London time not Lagos time.... that been said BA usually get here almost 5am ish (4.50) , by the time you security and collect baggage can be around 6am depending on the crowd or shorter if no crowd .

So picking at 6am then becomes an individual thing. Some people who live close its not a problem , others might find it early, so check with the person picking up

We did Biometrics on the same day 14th, of Jan 2021...I met her at TLS. she got a Non-straight forward on the 19th after 3days, then on 26th I got my visa she got an interview mail for Friday 29th. After her interview on Friday she got a refusal mail yesterday Monday.

There’s nothing like a straightforward mail.

Non-straightforward mail is sent sometimes if you fall under anyone of the categories below

See? I didn’t even need to see the letter to know what possibly happened.

- when she was asked about facilities that her chosen uni offers, she gave a generic answer. ( all these informations are usually on the university’s page).

- when asked about her future plans and how the course will benefit her, again, she gave another generic answer.

Saying she’ll come back to Nigeria to work with ANY multinational company after her studies truly reiterated what the ECO echoed (no pun intended).

Given the amount of money and commitment required to study in the U.K, the Eco expected her to mention at least 2 or 3 future job titles with a projected future earning.

I felt she could have ed if only she’d done proper research.

ECOs/ Visa officers are trained to treat every applicants as japa candidates, it is your duty to convince them otherwise.

TBH, if I was the ECO I would have made same decision, her application had too many complications. I only feel bad for her and telling her the hard truth rn would be unfair.

1. She didn’t declare one of her refusals, even the day she got the Non-straightforward mail it took her sometime to open up to me she has been denied by US and Canada. She said Canada didn’t deny her but she didn’t get any decisions from there since 2019 she applied...hmm
That’s why she didn’t declare it.

2. She did a change of name, different names on her port and application, thou she told me she had an affidavit to back it up.

Two nights to her Application, I called her to boost her up and ginger her....she told me she was “chilling with friends” smh

She has been crying over the phone....I’ll have to advise her to reapply like you said, because her agent is about to drill out all her money. Her agent guy sent a Lawyers number she should call, consultation fee alone na 50k.

You mentioned that she failed the credibility interview.

Let her do enough research before reapplying.

Appealing in this scenario will be a waste of time.

Alternatively, you can ask for her refusal letter and post it here in other to get better advice.

Please house, someone who I met the same day I did my Biometrics just got refused today...after she got a non-straightforward mail and did interview on Friday.

The reason for her refusal was because she didn’t answer the question eloquently during the interview.

What is the best advise for her...I really don’t know how to help her or know what to say, it’s very very sad.

Can she appeal or something...your advises would be appreciated.

Also Paid for priority which was said to be suspended on the said day.I went ahead with standard.I was furious on getting to know priority was processed next day at same ikeja.I applied for refund of 220 GBP.Waiting for it.

Collection ; 29th January.
Visa Approved!

It's now £500? I thought it was £1000. The locator form is very compulsory even last year September it was compulsory not talk about now.

Make sure you fill the form 48 hours before you travel.

This thing is not new. Really sad for your friend.
