In my opinion, the email was sent because the positions were going to go through then shortlisting and assessment stages again.
I heard the positions were split in two sets. The first guys have done their medicals and the second batch (including Metering Engineers) are going through interviews now. Hence my reason for saying "move on" in my earlier post.

I blame neither GCC or Total for the complication in the process. Its a new process and it is bound to be shaky at the start. However i would say it was much better last year.

The truth is all positions have now been invited for interviews by Total. if you did not receive an invite for assessment from GCC in October you are most likely out of the process so just move on.
If you got a rejection email without an apology email, MOVE ON
If you got a rejection email and an apology email but no invite for assessment in October, MOVE ON
If you got a rejection email, an apology email and an invite for assessment in October but no invitation for interview from Total last week, MOVE ON
Last last what is yours will not by you. I realize a lot of folks here are very selfish. I mean, people have been invited for all these positions but nobody has come here to say they were invited. It took a lot of persuasion from a friend over the weekend to find out that interviews have been scheduled. Its quite shocking to say the least!

Give it a shot is what I’ll say. I got to the final stage last year. Contrary to what people say, the process is fair. Yes, they may have 1 or 2 hitches but overall, it is fair.

I have 2 friends that got hired last year and I can truthfully tell you that they knew nobody on the inside. We were all skeptical about applying but we really went far in the process

In my opinion, I don’t think sending an email to Total would solve anything because Total rarely responds to emails. Also, from the 2018 thread, I got to know that Total actually has presence on nairaland and sees everything we post here. This thing happened last year that’s why I’m really not bothered about anything. After receiving the test invite last year, our status on the Total platform didn’t change from “application unsuccessful “.

I’ll just advise everyone to calm down sha. Total is not the end of the world. My own two cents.

You guys are quite funny o. If you know Total, you would know that these emails come after 90 days of submitting your application on their website. It goes out to everyone!!

I am sure they will still come and invite people who got these same rejection emails for interviews.

I applied last year and it was the same thing that happened. you can ask around.

Honestly, i would advise anyone that hasn't received an email from GCC to move on. Assessments end today...asin today is the final day. A friend of mine that attended yesterday said this is what the GCC team told them.

After today's assessment, it is to wait for interview.

Me i the newspaper advert very well. The number 9 instruction says and i quote "upon submission of your application, you will receive an email from our team for further action. Please follow the instructions to complete your application. Only completed applications will be processed"

It was just one lady. I applied for audit but, after the chat I changed it to consulting and risk advisory.

T&T means Talent and Transformation. The phone conversation was just a couple of questions...not like an interview. So, I'm guessing in the invite for your first interview there was nothing like T&T in it because i actually applied for audit.

The thing is, T&T is like a department on its own so, I'd like to know if this is the same type of email every other person received (as per the chat with T&T).

I didnt have any issues with any of my credentials. I selected audit and consulting but, I wrote "p" in front of audit. I've refreshed my email like mad, checked my spam too...nothing!

how many departments did you select? is audit among the ones u selected? if yes did u write "P" signifying priority in front of audit? and were you there with all your credentials and did not have issues with ID card? check your spam folder too.

Wow! Had my verification on the 26th of May too but I haven't gotten any interview invites up till now. I wonder if anyone is experiencing same.
