[quote author=uchesa post=46933763]what is the cost of a fibroid surgery and HSG surgery with a hormonal profile. My wife has been diagnosed with multiple fibriods and has anuovulatory issue meaning she cannot ovulate and the gynaecologist is attributing it to the fibroid presence, which teaching hospital is the best option since I reside in Lagos, Luth may be a best option.[/quote Cost depends on the hospital. hsg is 15k in most labs in Lagos and complete hormonal profile about same amount. You can TTC forum in Health section. Calm down brother...you will embrace your children. I have two children now after waiting for 7years. He is not a partial God! Just take care of the fibroids and others as diagnosed and allow God to perfect it. 3 Likes |

@momatriplet Sorry for the pain...it shall indeed end in praise....no doubt about that! As already said, take pain reliever before the procedure. I used cataflam then. I will suggest you complete a new cycle before repeating the procedure...who knows whatever may have been cleansed during the last procedure...it happens. Also to give yourself and that 'place' time to heal before another. It's even recommended to carry out hsg within 3months apart. |

@Enkay Enough good advises are already given which you have accepted...just to add my personal experience. with my first cs baby, my tummy went back barely after two weeks...all I did was making the baby suck whether bm is coming out or not; usually takes me 4-5days to start making bm. Also I did gentle hot water pressing only above my belly button and on it. If the belly button goes in,, the tummy will look a bit flattened. However with this second cs baby...baby is 2wks+, tummy hasn't gone flat like my first. Am not really so bothered; there is a factor to this, I had bigger bump than my first, so will it take longer time to go down. I will start tummy exercise after 6weeks appt and if my doctor gives a go ahead. I wear girdle only after three months. 8 Likes |

Congrats to all mamas that delivered and kisses to your LOs. @mitchy not against you giving out the prenatal but you still need it till after your six weeks appointment or even till after breastfeeding. That's why it's boldly written before, during and after pregnancy. I was prescribed and given six weeks supply after delivery. 1 Like |

@mbula According to my gynae if your son is up to 2yrs or even 18months before your next delivery....it's good to go and try V.birth but if you don't mind another cs you can try even after 3months. So you can start trying in 2months time preferably. Just for mention .... induction after cs is not advised to avoid uterine rupture. 4 Likes |

jadelyn007: It doesn't leave ugly scar dearie; some like mine you will hardly see where the incision was made. I did one on the 15th of this month....if I take off my clothes you won't notice it. Some of the reasons some preggers mamas Labour to death ....misconceptions about cs. 8 Likes |

CS is not as painful as painted here, it may however depends on the hospital. I have had two babies thru it. After the surgery the next day you get your life back by almost 60% on the second day you are back to life and eat what ever you wish. When am pregnant what I ask God is safe delivery no matter the method of delivery. Each of the methods have their own associated risks. My last pregnancy I dilated 8cm but the baby head was -3 to the cervix; I was given option of staying for another 6-8hrs to see if the head will engage well. I rejected that and opted for cs. Didn't want trial and error stuff and then emergency cs. bottomline ... ask for safe delivery and take your decisions based on what will save your life and that of the baby. Don't route for either v.birth or cs. Have an open mind! This is not to answer the poster's question just a contribution to other posts here. 9 Likes |

@heavyg Don't worry you head over that. My son had it; I tried all suggestions nothing really work; though burping and lifting his head higher while lying down is fine; but it will sure go away before you know it. Mine lasted till he was abt 4months. I ed his pead prescribed infacol then; it made it worst; I stopped and waited on time to heal it and it sure did. Note; he's getting enough food don't think everything is spilled out. By the way; my baby was on breast milk and formular so introduce formulae if you wish not as a remedy for anything. 3 Likes |

@ginaebere I see it as a phase that will end after maybe 3months though very demanding on the mum. There are lots of drugs out there for it as someone rightly mentioned one of them also some use grapewater. But do they really work is the question? I ed my mum giving my son bitter kola water then. Personally I don't think anything work until that phase of their life is over. 5 Likes 1 Share |

MadameU: Nothing is wrong with giving babies multivitamins. Even newborns are given by the doctor before discharge. dunnybaby: Complete his medication as prescribed by his doctor afterwards place him on onces a day (5ml) vitaminC. |

I thought it's for younger babies; if it's ok for his age no problem. I only used it when my my baby was less than 3months switched to to well kids multivitamins since then when needed. Well kids is from 3months to 5yrs. Price ranges from 2k-3k depending from where you buy from.

realsupermum: Yes you can give multivitamins. His not eating maybe you haven't introduced what he enjoys eating. Keeping experimenting until you get what he loves. Ebf babies do this more, is he one? |

@rchilee You only follow instructions on how to make it not on the quantity to make. It's a new food; he May not accept it well; you end up wasting it. You can make 90ml or any quantity you wish to start off with, then increase as baby wants |

The baby is moving just that she's not sure of what movements and kicks feel like if its her first baby. Since scan said all is well; relax everything is perfectly ok with the baby.

@agibeloved I feel your pains dear. May almighty God comfort and settle you very soon. Yes you can still conceive again and carry to term but you need to give yourself up to 2yrs for the womb to properly heal. And pls note your next baby must be through a C-section. @favoredgal. I have started mat leave o waiting for baby's arrival. Doctor said if baby didn't come naturally on due date; we will do a cs. According to him no induction after a C-section to avoid uterine rupture. Decided to give this update because of what happened to our sister above. If Mrs A is lucky with induction after a cs Mrs B may not; no need taking unnecessary risks. What matters is a safe delivery; doctors should know better! 1 Like |

i will Segregate abit here... please pardon me. If he is from Anambra... my advise is please move on. They love marrying themselve. if Imo or Abia., the will likely accept you if you behave well after marriage. l trust typical yoruba woman to appear humble whether they mean it or not. You will get the love of an average igbo parent with typical 'yoruba attitude of humility'. This is just an option, please dont nail me if you are from Anambra, there is always exception to the rule. 4 Likes 1 Share |
