My name is Tega and I am from delta state. I proposed to my long time girlfriend early this year and I invited my best friend to come for my wedding. He's an artist who lives in Lagos. i told him about the wedding preparation, that he will to be my best man. He accepted and made the necessary preparations to come to delta state.
He got to Delta state and got checked into a hotel. I wasn't in town at that moment and I promised to be at the hotel first thing in the morning the next day. I told him to be comfortable and I had ordered everything and if he needed anything else he should order it. Fast Forward to the next day i got to the hotel and i met up with my friend at the reception and we got talking with all the excitement and all, he later asked me for 150k that he lost his ATM card and he had network issues with his bank, and he would refund me later , he said he needed it urgently to give the girl that came last night, that she said she needed to buy some things for a party she's planning. I had no problem because my friend would always refund me and we went upstairs to his room so i could even see the girl ,when i got to the room i could not believe my eyes

On Sunday morning I tried to make a withdrawal with my opay card using a palmpay pos,I was debited but the transaction failed.
Since then I have been trying to get a reversal from Opay to no avail.
I tried ing them on fb,Instagram,WhatsApp and email,I even copied cbn but uptill now no response.
I have called their customer care countless times but no favourable response.

Yesterday I was with my girlfriend and a couple of friends, we had a few drinks and decided to go eat out around 11pm, while walking we spotted a police van and there quickly arrested us. My girlfriends brother made an attempt to talk with the policemen and he was beaten up (Policemen from this station guard his house whenever their parents are in town.) All attempts to pacify the officers and show them my identity card fell on deaf ears. I quickly put a call to my senior policeman friend, when one of them noticed, he quickly snatched my phone and seized it. We were driven to the station and detained in a cell that looked like a toilet with very bad stench.
A policewoman asked me to give her money or I would be locked in the general cell with hardened criminals, I did give her some money, around 3AM I put a call to my family using a policeman phone and asked that my friend whose call there refused me from taking be given my location. In the morning there was a headcount and we were asked to make phone calls and try to bail ourselves, lucky for me while the policemen were trying to fleece my friends of money my friend came and in less than 10mins I was out (The police say that I was caught having sex with a prostitute and my friend asked if having sex was a crime), but I couldn't but reminisce how innocent people even sleeping at home were arrested and asked to bail themselves I even noticed a mental patient who I hear hasn't eaten or slept in 3 days. May God save Nigeria.
