good day All,
Please i need a review on Ipower XMAX 3KVA inverter,
also i need a recommendation for a reliable and good 24v 3kva or above hybrid inverter
I know three people that bought the 24V iPower max and the inverter didn't last more than a day in 2 of the cases, inverter got damaged and they had to return it. The third person used his for less than 2 weeks and it developed a fault that he had to change the inverter, my advice is don't buy the iPower 24V, look at other brands.
On the flip side i know a number of people using the iPower 48V without any issues at all.
Stay away from the 24V of that brand

Anyone here driving the 2013 to 2018 ES350, what oil do you use?
Did you stick to the OEM recommend 0W20 or you when for the 0W30 or 5W30?
What kind of oil filter do you use, the onw with metal cap or one without?
Also have you ever done a drain and fill of your transmission fluid?
I plan on ing the lexus family soon so doing some research.

Very correct, no one will convince me to use any other oil for es350 other than the oem recommended 5w30
2013,14,15 ES350 recommend 0W20 but 5W30 is recommended for older models.

Nice Question Bro.
This is because the 16KW I had was from JustStandout (A dealer in Lekki, Lagos), and I noticed that once I go Off-Grid the Inverter could not handle load above 12KW, I did everything I could but no avail. I ed JustStandout, they could not help, they kept upgrading the inverter from one firmware to the other. I ed Deye and they upgraded the Inverter to the Latest Firmware and the problem continued.
I disturbed Deye so much until they asked me to open up the inverter and send pictures of the PCBs inside the Inverter.
I did exactly so and I discovered that the power board inside the Inverter is of the 15KW US Version which is the SunSynk 15k-2P and has a UPS Backup load power of 12Kw Max. Which was why I could not go beyond 12Kw while Off-Grid.
The Inverter was sold to me as the 16KW EU Version which has UPS Backup Power of 16KW only to discover that the PCB is US version. It was clear to me that either JustStandout has scammed me or they got scammed by their supplier and they ed it on to me. Because I engaged them after this discovery and they sounded not to have any idea about these technicalities.
After weeks of words battle with them, I decided to place an Express Order from Deye for the 2units of 8KW EU Version which each has a UPS power of 8KW, because I didn't want to fall another victim to the 16KW Scam.
I received them and deployed them as shown in the picture and then I decided to ship out the 16KW to my house in the Village to be deployed later this year. Since I don't base there. At least no yet. hahahaha
As for the CC, I use the inbuilt MPPTs. Although I miss the inbuilt 3x 290A MPPTs of the 16KW because the 8KW has inbuilt 2x 190A MPPTs each. The 16KW starts sucking solar energy as early as 6am as is capable of guzzling everything that looks like energy from the s, while the 8KW waits till around 9am at times to start picking up solar energy and cannot go beyond it's 190A capacity.
Please where did you order these 8kW from?
Did you order directly from them or you ordered through a 3rd party?

Nice one... but check the bolded again. A typical 30L water heater takes about 15 to 20 minutes to reach the setpoint.
I was thinking a 30L water heater will take more time to heat up, my 30L Ariston can take almost 40 to 50 mins to boil, i set it at highest heat setting and its rated at 1,500W.

It's been an interesting journey all the way and I hope to be able to review Products in the Nigerian market too, soon on my YouTube channel.
Concerning your friend who bought it from US, if he never switches off his inverter, he might not observe. Also, they hardly have spare parts for this MPPT boards which means there's a high demand for it. That should tell you sth.
A number of people never switch off because that's the reason they have an inverter in the first place, to have power all the time.

@Justice629 I'm glad you could confirm that as well.
@coldcandy would you just leave an inverter in on position for 12hours when nobody needs power from it, I mean for no good reason, you just want to waste idle energy for 12hours ?
@Dam5reey Ofcourse to save energy, who goes green with the aim of wasting energy? If you switch off the output breaker, you have idle energy consumption wasting away, which isn't a smart thing to do.
For me and based on my usage, i don't see a reason why my inverter needs to be switched off, even if no one needs the energy, my fridge and freezer are connected to it and I want them powered 24/7, i also want the inverter online always so I can have a log of the inverter. In the last 8 months my inverter has been off just about 3 times due to LVD and once when i wanted to connect additional battery banks.
This is just me, i don' t know your setup or use case.

Most GDI cars fair better with a catch can. It cuts the amount of oil vapors coming from the PCV and landing on the back of the intake valves. Not much of a problem on port injection engines, since the fuel washes over the back of the valves. However, it's a biggie on GDI engines. Using a borescope since the install, my intake valves now have a dry appearance and not a gunked up wet look, meaning less oil gets there now.
Totally get you on not going intrusive. Got the OEM stuff filter, and should make a video while at it.
Saw the video, impressive stuff.

Nice buy. Enjoyed reading your post.
I've bought the HCF and the transmission filter. Should be doing that soon.
Best mod I've done on this car was installing an oil catch can. Piston tops don't build up as much as they used to. It's something I'd advise any owner of this Accord to do. Video is on the channel.
I like the 2023 too. I don't like the build of the 2018 - 2022. All the best...
I thought it was the 10th generation (2018-2023) that needed a catch can.
I didn't do the filter as I don't want to go intrusive, I'll keep doing a drain and fill till maybe atleast 100k miles before changing the filter.
I'll check the videos.

Piyke: Let me backtrack, a bit...
I was in the market for well over a year. Covid only made things difficult. But the real difficulty was, finding what I wanted in a new car. It had to be Honda, Accord, with the following;
1. EX orEXL.
2. 4cyl.
3. 2016 - 2017 (I could do 2015, but aftermarket entertainment system in pursuit of Android Auto, plus a face-lift to 2016 exterior, were MUSTs).
4. Super clean.
5. Ideally, less than 100k miles
6. NO Custom duty short payment.
Will pick up on salient highlights in subsequent posts...
Modified...forgot the mileage criteria
Reading this thread and I'm wondering how someone could think exactly like I did and do almost exactly what I did, had to keep checking to confirm it was not me that wrote the thread sometime back.
I got a 2016 accord i4 Ex-l early days of covid, for the same reasons as you; Android auto, timing chain and maintenance. ..etc. prior I had a 2013 Ex which I totaled in an accident.
I also searched many car lots and online (Instagram, twitter, cheki) all I saw were accidented and mostly badly repaired. After searching without success I also had to use a friend to buy though IAAI then shipped VIP on Grimaldi, I got a non accidented with just hail damage and 59k miles, was abit expensive then but dollar was 425 then.
Some of the few things I did were change the windscreen then paint the boot, top and bonnet due to the hail spots. Aside that I didn't do any repair, car was clean and had a VIN auto check score of 92. I also changed the rear sway bar to that of 2012 acura TSX (17mm) which was thicker than stock honda, it reduced body roll and understeer, the car felt flater at corners.
I've changed the CVT transmission fluid twice since I got the car, 1st change was immediately I got it and the second was after a year plus, I want to keep the CVT clean and smooth, will do another atleast by year end when the car will be 3years old. When I got the car I also drained the coolant and replaced with the same honda original coolant. I've been using same tires (for 2.5years) the car came with though I might have to change them before year end. The car came with clean new Good year assurance tires.
I changed the low beam lights to high lumen LED bulbs but left the high beam as they were.
The car came with tints which I left on but added a 70% ceramic tint on the windscreen.
Changed all inner lights, boot light and license plate lights to white LED lights.
I love and enjoy Android auto and will not now buy any car that does not have it. I currently have over 75k mileage but less than 80k, mostly city driving.
I've changed break pads once with genuine honda front and rear pads, might be due for another before year end.
The car came with 2 keys so I have driver1 and madam has driver2, I like the fact that if any of us drives we don't need to adjust the seats the memory seat adjust based on the key that was used to unlock the car.
I also really really love the remote engine start.
Oh I one repair I did last month, the rear camera stopped working so I got a replacement on amazon and fixed, camera now working.
I hope and pray to 2023 accord hybrid (fuel price not smiling), I've had 3 accords in the last 10 years; a 2008 (which I still own and drives great), a 2013 totaled in an accident then presently a 2016.

Good morning everyone
Abeg why is it that inverter installers always tell you not to use pressing irons? They never offer any meaningful explanation.
My inverter is a 5.5KVA with 4 batteries (12v 220AH)
Note: I've used a pressing iron and air fryer on the inverter without any issues but I sometimes wonder if I'm low key damaging the inverter.
Thanks
I've been using normal pressing iron on my 5kW Deye for several months now, a pressing iron is a resistive load and I don't see any reason why an appropriately rated inverter should not comfortably carry it.

Mini review of Lifepo4 batteries from Selina of Shenzhen Deriy https://deriy.en.alibaba.com/?spm=a2756.trade-list-buyer.0.0.446c76e9yMKAWz&tracelog=from_orderlist_company .
Order Process
The order for 16 x Eve LF280K cells was placed sometimes December 2022, they were shipped out sometimes in January and I got delivery notification in march. I had no issue getting the batteries from the shipper. I ordered extra items like non polarized breakers, extra busbars and nuts, and a battery tester the EBC A40l Smart Battery tester. All items came delivered with the battery.
Physical Condition of the batteries
Battery came in pristine conditions, they looked brand new and no physical damage can be seen. The packages was well done. I settled for the dual terminal batteries, the only issues I had with this was the terminals were wielded in a way that makes it impossible to line the batteries close together in a build without shorting them. This was not a big deal for me though.
Testing
On getting the batteries, I carried out extensive capacity test to ensure they batteries gave the rated labeled capacity. For this I used the EBC A40L smart tester.
I connected the tester to the battery and connected my laptop to the tester, The tester application allows you to set charge and discharge parameter and you can see a graph of the voltage curve of the battery in real time as it charges.
I set the tester to discharge the battery to 2.6v (voltage of a fully discharged lifepo4 cell) and then immediately charge each cell to 3.65v, it would then cut of charging once the charge amps is at 7A. I logged the capacity of the battery once it got to 3.65v (The voltage of a fully charged Lifep04 cell) in all every battery cell was at 280+Ah (some at 284, the least was 282ah) once the voltage reached 3.65v, this means that the battery were the corrected labelled capacity.
Building into a bank
I assembled the batteries into a bank 16S to ad to an existing 16S 280AH Eve battery bank. So so good. Still early days but the cells are doing well. Each bank is attached to its own JK BMS
In all, I am a happy customer, Selina was very helpful especially her employee Colin, both of them speak good english and they were very communicative during the whole process.
For my own micro review of Lifepo4 batteries from Selina of Shenzhen Deriy, I have 2 different contrasting experiences.
1. Very good experience:
Last year 2022 April ending I ordered and paid for 16 pieces of EVE LF280K batteries from Shenzhen Deriy. Shenzen Deriy handled the shipping and the batteries were delivered in about 3 months (July 2022), I picked them immediately they arrived, they arrived in excellent condition. I completed the build and installed them, I've been using them since then till now.
2. Terrible experience:
Immediately after receiving my first order, I placed an order for 32 pieces of LF280K in August 2022. Paid for the batteries and shipping with Shenzen Deriy handling the shipping. I did not receive these batteries untill about a week ago April 2023 ( after 8 months). Before i could pick up the batteries I had to pay the shipping company an extra N90,000 even though I've paid Shenzen Deriy full shipping fees.
Till date both Shenzen and the shipping company could not explain the 8months delay, all they say is that there is a problem with the container, at some point both even stopped responding to calls and messages.
I introduced 2 people to Shenzen Deiry, they ordered their cells end of November 2022 and picked up in February 2023 while I was still waiting for my cells. Some other people ordered in January 2023 and picked up their cells before I picked up mine.
I don't know if my second experience is a one-off or happens on the regular but the experience has thought me to handle my own shipping when next I order. I thought I should share so that other can see the 2 ways it can go.

I never wash mine online, i have 2 MPPTs on the hybrid inverter, each with a separate isolators installed before the inverter input, so if I want to wash I switch off one MPPT while the other is online and vice versa, when done washing I switch them all back on
