Makinde Secures Multi-Million Dollar Investment with Africorp Consortium to Build Factory in Ibadan

The Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde has successfully negotiated a major investment deal with Africorp Consortium during his recent visit to Casablanca, Morocco. Led by Chairman Saad Berrada Sounni and CEO Jaafar Harti, Africorp which is set to establish a multi-million-dollar factory in Ibadan.

This was contained in the tweet on the official x handle of the Oyo State Governor this evening.



In the statement, it’s said that the Oyo State government has already allocated land for the project, with Africorp having paid the necessary fees and taken possession of the land.

Furthermore, a memorandum of cooperation was also signed between the two parties, highlighting Africorp’s diverse business interests in agro industries, mining, education, mattress production, wood carpentry, and PET recycling. The partnership is expected to bring significant economic opportunities to Oyo State and foster growth in various sectors.

The tweet reads;

“We have been in Casablanca, Morrocco for a series of meetings with Africorp Consortium led by Chairman, Saad Berrada Sounni and CEO, Mr Jaafar Harti. Africorp is the parent company of Dolidol which acquired Mouka Foam and is establishing a multi-million-dollar factory in Ibadan. Our istration has already allocated land for this purpose and Africorp has paid the required fees and taken possession of the land.
