Make friends with your lecturers and professors. They can help you secure a placement
So true it was my lecturer in school (project supervisor) that helped me to secure a placement for internship in a govt teaching hospital. In fact, the interviewer( who happened to be my project supervisor's friend was waiting for my turn for the oral interview.Although the man stressed me so much during my project days in school, but it later turned out good. Infact sometimes, i had to sleep in the lab cos of my project work. Maybe the man saw the zeal in me and decided to help me.

This should be filariasis .
a disease, common in the tropics and subtropics, caused by the presence in the lymph vessels of the parasitic nematode worms Wuchereria bancrofti and Brugia malayi (see filaria). The worms, which are transmitted to humans by various mosquitoes (including Aƫdes, Culex, Anopheles, and Mansonia), bring about inflammation and eventual blocking of lymph vessels, which causes the surrounding tissues to swell (see elephantiasis). The rupture of urinary lymphatics may lead to the presence of chyle in the urine. Filariasis is treated with the drug diethylcarbamazine.
I once had the same problem. See a doctor.

Thank you.exactly what you said. Hurt people really hurt others. . @ Ifyjos. I think you need to go back to school, to do this you need to show some seriousness, try to get yourself a job so you can buy jamb form if you have your papers, you love your guy and all, but don't don't build your life around him, your sister might have hurt your feelings with constant reminder of your failure but that shouldn't push you to do evil, instead it should push you to be successful. Don't wait for your boyfriend to be successful, who says you can't be successful your self? . Just like some others said, find a way to anonymously exonerate your Sister with her ex fiance, I don't think they'll comeback together, quiet frankly I don't think the guy deserves her any way, he comes across as a jealous and controlling man. That is not to excuse your bad behaviour though. You need to mix with the right people to change your mind set, I think you're moving with a wrong crowd. I'm glad you're at least remorseful. Get a job, Go back to school, eschew evil and ask for God's guidance in all your ways...
I agree with you. In addition, I don't think her sister's ex fiancee loves her or deserves her. He shouldn't have just backed out just like that without hearing out from her elder sister or investigating properly. What if they later got married and someone from no where accused her wife wrongly, will he back out just like that? The fiancee thinks he has it all and looks like someone that is full of himself. The Op is very wrong. The sister wants the best for her. Op should be thinking of how to go back to school or learn a trade and not revolving her life around good for nothing guy that got her pregnant at a tender age. She is still young.

you were blaming the student who walked away from her education because she went to meet a lecturer for help, like her male colleagues do, and he instead began propositioning sex from her. You were casting doubts. Did she do anything differently from her male colleagues? Did she offer her body to him? Or did he demand it from her to the extent that she had to drop out? The man could've just said no to her or reported her with his evidence of her wrongdoing. She did not solicit sex from him in return for the grades, so what are you really saying about her? You will understand if a male student tells you that a male lecturer is demanding sex from him.
What I'm saying in essence is that students whether male or female shouldn't meet any lecturer for upgrading of their scores when it's obvious the person failed .
If there's a doubt that you aren't supposed to fail , you can write for remarking etc.
No lecturer should also sexually harass any student or also take advantage of their poor performance in school.
The students can also meet lecturers (esp morally decent ones) for advice.

So when male students have issues, don't they go to see the lecturers to tutor or help them? You've ed the bandwagon who put unrealistic expectations on women. So a woman struggling with her courses should sink in it while her male classmates get the help they need, because she must sleep with the lecturer? Why can't he just help her lije he should. Think about it.
I'm not ing the actions of these lecturers. Infact those lecturers should be seriously dealt with.
This lady in question went to meet the lecturer to upgrade her grades in the courses she failed when the results were already published so that she will be able to qualify to write resist instead of repeating a year which was also illegal. I'm not also justifying the action of
that our lecturer too.

Nothing wrong in going to an instructor for help. Infact this is how it's meant to be.
Failing a course doesn't mean she won't eventually become an excellent doctor. It only means she needs to understand the subject better. How do you expect her to feel comfortable in a department where a lecturer is out to rape her or victimize her? Won't that be conflict of interest? A good lecturer would help her to succeed not show her his penis.
My younger sister was being disturbed by a lecturer too when she was a student at a Nigerian university. My parents withdrew her and sent her to complete her studies in the UK. Not many people are that fortunate to withdraw their kids from a public uni and send them to study at a private uni or abroad, where they won't have to be at the mercy of vultures.
You got me wrong. I'm not in any way ing the actions of these lecturer.

But these olodo girls shouting sex for grades upandan..ask for their examination papers and you will be amazed at how dull they are.
Let them refuse the demand, read and well then let's see that mad lecturer that will ask you for sex.
I'm.not justifying that it is right bit we need to say it as it is.
I'm not justifying the action of the lecturer, but there was this friend of mine that went to meet a male lecturer to help her in one of the courses she failed then in medical school.
This lecturer invited her over to his house and in the process wanted to sleep with her. This girl took to her heels. Now she's telling people that the reason why she left medical school was cos she refused sleeping with the lecturer.

A girl that should even be thinking of furthering her education or better still learn trade etc.
I don't think she loves her future children because if she does, she should have ensured that she gets things right before thinking of marriage.
Anyway I'm not surprised cos some of them from that part of the country are too backward.
All they know is increasing the population of the country thereby increasing the number of almajiris, malnourished children and some of them end up causing nuisance in the country.

thank you sir. but its still very much unclear to me about the "defend it" part. what is the defence like because I wouldn't want to make any mistake and another thing is how do I make friends with my platoon officer and if possible, who are the exact camp officials you talked about. I'm sorry if I ask too many questions. I simply do not want to stay there. help a brother
what I meant by defending your medical means that you should know about the sickness and the drugs . Eg in asthma, you should know how to you use your inhaler.
When we were in the camp, one guy got redeployed thru the help of our platoon officer.
according to the guy, there was a day he met our platoon officer sorting some things out for our platoon all alone and the guy accepted to help him. ln addition, he also bought cold water for the man. After that incident he became so close to the man to the extent that he doesn't cue up in the line while waiting for food. The platoon officer helps him to collect food. You know some hausa men are so appreciate of little gesture given to them. It was there that he made his intentions known to the man concerning redeployment and the man helped him by connecting him to some of his friends in the camp that enabled his redeployment. He was even redeployed to his state of origin. He also left the camp even before pop in camp. I also redeployed thru the help of platoon officer to my state of choice in the camp without paying Kobo.

You can go with medical report and also be able to defend it.
Make sure that you collect redeployment form in camp and fill it.
I will advise you to make friends with your platoon officer or some camp officials in camp cos some of them have influence in redeployment. I'm a living witness.
Finally beware of scammers!

Pharmacy is not easy but with determination and hard work, you can scale through.
Every semester is a new struggle and you've got like 10 semesters to face( aside 100l).
You'll face 6 departments and each of these departments competes with others for which is tougher than others!
You've got both practicals and theory classes to cover every semester and in some schools like Uniben, practical and theory exams are taken separately and you must score at least 50% to (some courses are 60%).
The materials are usually voluminous and you should also be good in calculations. So, it involves reading large volume of works and also doing some calculations.
Imagine a scenario where nine lecturers took a course in say pharmacology, each lecturer leaving you with large materials of his/her aspects of the course to cover. Then during exam, only 5 lecturers set exams and you don't know who among them would set or who would not set, so you've got no choice than read every damn thing. If you fail to cover all the materials, you might get into the exam hall only to discover that your questions are exactly those ones you didn't read!
It's not easy but a dedicated person can do it!
The secret is, never take anything for granted!
I can relate to that. The courses are so voluminous with many lecturers taking a particular course. With perseverance and hard work you will make it.

I lock up, go hospital, collect pep drug, swallow for 2 weeks.... The kind nightmare wey the drug give me ehn, my grandma give me food for dream tire.... I throway the drug finally.
Went back some months later, it was negative.
You were given combinations of lamivudine, tenofovir and efavirenz .These 3 combinations are one of the examples of HAART - Highly ActiveAnti-retroviral therapy. It is the efavirenz on it that caused the nightmare feelings. Efavirenz causes CNS side effects such as hallucinations, dizziness, nightmares etc. It is because of the side effect of the drug that patients are being advised to take the drug at bed time in the night (i.e once you take the drug, you go to bed).

This country is messed up. The government even introduced SAED(Skill acquisition expenditure development) in camp for corpers which means there is no hope for graduates. Sometimes I wonder the essence of acquiring degree certificates which involves writing Jamb etc for one to gain ission in to the University. Some even go to the extent of committing suicide when they fail jamb.
After that a graduate of computer science will be struggling for space with bead makers and sellers in the market cos of no work.
God help us.

My dear if you want to know which one is more lucrative meet pharmacists and nurses in real life to explain to you then you can now compare.

I ed for this year's UTME (JAMB) through an approved CBT Centre. I was among those that were slated to write on the first day. On the day of my examination, we were allowed into the lobby where we would first thumbprint before entering the exam hall. When it was my turn to thumbprint, my data didn't come out. I was told to a second line of about eight or nine others with similar problem. I was the last person in this second line. Those in the first line thumbprinted and went in. Those of us in the second line were now asked to come and thumbprint again, switching from their right thumb to their index, to their middle, ring and to their little finger. If their right hand didn't work then the left was used. Most times before they could get to their middle finger, their data would come up. They all succeeded! It was now my turn. I started with the fingers on my right hand, nothing came up; switched to my left still nothing. They gave me water to wash my hands with and towel to clean it dry. I did, went to try again but still nothing. I was drawing attention and I felt bad - pitied. I kept trying. The lady that was even guiding my fingers became tired. She changed to another fingerprint sensor, and this time I was given methylated spirit to apply on my fingers; which I still did; thumbprinted again yet nothing. My data didn't come up! I was questioned concerning my registration if I actually thumbprinted MY SELF, I said yes I did. Even though the question sounded ridiculous I wasn't bothered by it. Exam started and I was still outside, broken, flustered and almost in tears. I kept on trying, and trying, and trying and ... No data. The lady asked for my name and then checked her system (the notebook she was using) for the names of those who were yet to sign in. They were five of them. I was among them. So it meant my name was in the database but my finger print was not being recognised. It was sad. Out of 200 candidates that were to sit for that session, 196 came, 195 thumbprinted successfully, I was the only one present who didn't write! Four were absent. A JAMB official came up to me and spoke to me saying there is nothing they can do about it, that JAMB had given a directive that the only way one can be allowed into the exam hall is if they thumbprint and their data comes up. He showed me a form which he said was from JAMB regarding to issues peculiar to what I just experienced and told me I'll have to fill it later. He came back with a photocopy of the form, and I filled it: name, reg. and exam number, address, time of exam, centre ed, reason for not being able to write and so on. He told me once the exam is concluded all over the country, forms from other parts of the country would be submitted to JAMB and our cases would be considered, and we may be ed by phone through SMS of the re-scheduled the date. He said the re-scheduled one would be held in Abuja. My questions now are: 1. What if the JAMB official fails to submit my form to JAMB at the appropriate time how will I know? 2. Are they others like me out there with the same or similar issue that couldn't write their exams due to no fault of theirs? 3. What if JAMB sends the SMS but I couldn't get it how do I get to know of the date (JAMB hardly/never sends one SMS or even mails, they ask for your email and phone number but then it's only important during registration). Would any Nairalander(s) be generous enough to let me and maybe others know if they get wind of a new date? I would be very grateful. Cc: Richiez, Chukwukapromise, Olawalebabs, Fynestboi, Benjax and the whole Nairaland community.
You don't have to lose hope. I believe Jamb will still reset another exam for those affected. all things worketh together for good to those who love God. Just see it as an advantage for you to prepare more for the exam.

If he fails to remit the said amount on or before 5th of next month, go and report him to your states welfare service.
