I think they have a general rulebook and she is keeping to it. That's how that one kept a long hair that could have killed her and she was confidently parading the streets with her ignorance.

I am not a nurse but common sense can tell you why long hair and hospitals are not friendly to each other.

GistMedia0:

The student, who returned with a festive, bold hairstyle, was met with the lecturer's decision to cut her hair, as long braids are reportedly against the school's code of conduct. According to the institution’s rules, students are not supposed to resume with such elaborate hairstyles, particularly when it may pose hygiene and safety concerns in a clinical setting.

There's no need for capping. end of topic

The first pic is from the 60s/70s. They used coins to operate the phones.

The second pic is for the phonebooths released in the mid 90s.
Our kobo was useless by then, so we used a smartcard thing.
You buy credit from NITEL office then insert the card into the phone and talk fast.

The 3rd Pic. I was not aware of that. Maybe early 2000s.
I left Nigeria then, and when I returned there was nothing like public phone again.

This is where and when

It should be the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi meets President Tinubu or
Presient Tinubu receives/hosts the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi
.

Both offices are not equal in international diplomacy. Show some respect to the office of the President. It's the office, not the person there now.

Edit to educate the journalists and others

This is because in diplomatic language, when a head of state (like President Tinubu) meets with a foreign official (like China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi), it is typically stated that the head of state "receives" or "hosts" the official.

The reason you would not say "Chinese Foreign Minister meets President Tinubu" is that "meeting" typically refers to an interaction between two parties of equal rank, whereas in this case, the head of state is the senior figure in the diplomatic encounter.

For more clarity, official press releases and diplomatic reports often phrase such events as:

"The President of Nigeria received the Chinese Foreign Minister..."

"President Tinubu hosted the Chinese Foreign Minister for talks..."

This follows diplomatic protocol where the senior official (head of state) is the one who receives or hosts.

Example from a recent press release:

The Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or similar governmental sources would likely phrase it as "President Tinubu received [or hosted] Foreign Minister Wang Yi," or sometimes "met with" when it's a more casual diplomatic encounter.

Check the US protocol guide. naptu2 can give you the ones from Nigeria source, I don't have that time for now

Receiving Lines

The most traditional receiving line consists of the host, the guest of honor, the partner or co-host of the host, and the partner of the guest of honor, in that order.Ā  One person from the host’s staff typically facilitates the order and gives instructions to the guest (i.e., please give your name and your spouse’s name upon greeting the host).Ā  The direction that guests enter into the receiving line can vary, but the host should be the first person to receive the guests, followed by the guest of honor.Ā  Announce cards, used in place of nametags, can be used to assist the host in identifying guests.Ā  Depending on the event, a photographer may be requested for candid or posed photos, at the determination of the host.

You were wrong and should apologize. They are human beings like you and they can lose their jobs if they release information to the wrong holder. So before you judge them, ask yourself, is this the way I will like to be addressed if I were on the other side? If you didn't know the answer to a question, you could have just said "I don't know".

Where in reside in lag (amuwo odofin area to be precise), the place is over run by a high influx of hotels/resorts.If you are opportuned to have a one-on-one discussion with the managers of these hotels concerning the women that come there, they will outrightly tell you that most of the women that lodge there with guys are MARRIED! And they usually come during the daytime when their husbands believe they are either at their place of business or shopping for household needs. They book short time, do the big nasty and are back home in a couple of hours without anyone knowing anything. Funny thing is, a lot of these women are married to loving/caring and faithful husbands (why do bad things happen to good guys? ? ? lol)

You won't see these women boasting about their escapades. It's guys who do that and that's why it seems guys are the worst culprits. If a man cheats, who does he do it with?Is it not with a woman? A lot of people who patronize hotels are married and it's usually a married man VS a married woman OR a single man VS a married woman.

Women are smart enough to know where to play away games. Men are careless and boastful as you said. How many times have you heard women saying that the cheating husband brought the mistress to their matrimonial bed?

I disagree with you only on 1 area. Don't judge by a single story. When you said the husbands are faithful, that is what you assume. I don't want to justify fornication or cheating but the human body is complex and men don't like to go for therapy or correction by someone who can help their family. They like to play Oga and the woman will just solve her problem the best way she can since the man no wan gree say him de get fault.

Jonathan is a coward bcs the protest that came up doing his time was sponsored by oppositions. He gave in to them and chicken out like a coward. Same thing happened to Tinubu, the protest was sponsored by oppositions, he knew it and quelled it, nipped it in the bud. That's the difference. Where are those people inviting Russia again? His own was even more brutal having international undertone compare to ordinary Ojota protest that consumed the coward u called a president.

I know you choose to be cynical but let's leave it as it is. Arab spring was around that period and both local and international sponsors could cripple the Jonathan government. Or is it the enemies within who worked for their own selfish interests? Or what did the Governors do about NOI's advice to save foreign reserves? You don't just analyse topics without contexts, that will be mischief. There is no need to keep justifying what should not be. Time is a good revealer of things.

You are still getting it wrong. Whatever he wrote there. Bola Tinubu then, was a follower just like all other Nigerians, Goodluck Jonathan was our leader. Jonathan was supposed to show us the way, Tinubu should not be held responsible for his failures, Tinubu was also just a common follower and wailer back then. Jonathan carries the blame for abandoning his good policies just bcs of political expediencies. Now Tinubu is the Leader and he is showing capacity to lead even in tough decisions irrespective of his political fortune. That's a Leader. Why didn't Tinubu also chicken out despite all the hunger protests nationwide? That's the difference. There is a saying that when u solve one problem, u will create another one. His own solutions to Nigeria's perennial problems will not come without another problem. He will eventually set the prosperity way for the country. The end justifies the means. undecided

I will reply you in Asiwaju, Leader of the Progressives words back then;

Nigeria in Jonathan is confronted with a government ā€œon top of the peopleā€ rather than a ā€œgovernment for the peopleā€. It is as if Jonathan has turned from president to pharaoh and has decreed that the people make bricks without straw. What manner of leader has he become? I don’t know. However, there is only one just way out of this distress. Government must modify the sudden and complete removal of the subsidy. Either we restore the subsidy or use the funds for other social purposes. If we are to use the funds for other programs, those programs shall be placed on parallel track with the subsidy. As more of these programs are ready to go on line, then the subsidy can be lifted in phases. In this way, the public is assured government will not lower its total expenditure on their behalf, thus maintaining the spirit central to the social contract. Fuel price increases will be moderated so as not to cause extreme economic distress. And the people will see and feel the benefit of the alternative programs at the same time of the cost increases, thus further blunting the adverse impact of those increases. Until this change occurs, the people must remain vigilant or else we will sink under the weight of what the federal government has done.

Signed: Asiwaju Tinubu, January 8, 2012.

Go and google the meaning of Asiwaju. 'Follower' indeed.

A good leader is the one who knows the way and determines to lead people through it, irrespective of the challenges. Succumbing to whims and caprices of your followers (people who your are supposed to show the way) is a sign of weakness and lack of direction. The end justifies the means. The road to freedom can never be smooth and followers are bound to complain. A good leader who knows the way will never compromise at the murmuring of people who are meant to follow him. The end will justify the means. Moses in the bible, and other world reformers have all gone through what Bola Ahmed Tinubu is going through, he will deliver just like them. We the majority understand with him and are not in hurry. The minority can always have their wailing, we understand. The next election will prove him wrong or right. undecided
Go and read Bola Tinubu's open letter to Jonathan back then, then come reply me sir. It's available on the internet, please don't reply unless you read what Tinubu advised for reforms in 2012.

Yesterday, I read a story about Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and how he was overthrown.

When it happened, people in the streets of Accra were celebrating.

But Nkrumah, watching from the side, didn’t understand.

Let me know your thoughts. It's a tricky question, and every leader faces this challenge.

How do you think Nkrumah could have handled this better?
Leaders must strike a balance between the two. Basic needs must take priority. Leaders are elected based on the manifesto they campaigned on. Manifesto must have phrases of immediate priorities & long-term priorities.
Do you know PDP had the subsidy removal in their manifesto and ACN was aware? Please tell me another thing sir. I did not make this up. Watch the full video here

What you want is militocracy, not democracy. You want a dictator who doesn't care whose ox is gored. One who lacks empathy and will not carry his people along because he is making the best decision for them. One who thinks he owes them no ability and is a god. I was a critic of Jonathan too but there's nothing he did that these guys have not done worse and that's the biggest sign of hypocrisy and cowardice, not bravery. The gentleman was even courageous enough to host townhalls on the subsidy debate, and I Jonathan was told to fix the refineries. The ACN propaganda machine was so strong, they seized the opportunity to destroy dialogue and progress of the nation for their own selfish benefits. Those are not heroes to me, they are liars.

You either are being deliberately mischievous or naive to forget that the subsidy protest nationwide could have crippled Jonathan's government at that time. APC threatened the government, called for NASS and NLC to keep fighting. People abused Jonathan and called him evil. Tinubu is not sticking to any guns, the people were just manipulated and are now weary
