First lady Aisha Buhari on Sunday posted a video to social media of the minister of communications and digital economy Isa Pantami weeping over insurgency in the country. Mr Pantami, who is also an Islamic cleric, in the video burst into tears after he read a verse of the Holy Quran. “That is the Garden we shall give as their own to those of our servants who were devout,” read the reciter from Surah Maryam, Verse 63. In response, Pantami sobbed, “O Allah! Make me one of them. O Allah! Make me one of them!” Mrs Buhari captioned the video, “A chire tsoro a yi abinda ya dace”, which is translated to English as “Be courageous to do the right thing”. It was not immediately clear what her intention was in ing the video. Many on social media have, however, interpreted it as the first lady attacking Pantami. Last month, Pantami ed the first family whose son Yusuf married Zahra Bayero at Bichi town in Kano. The minister had in April faced calls for resignation over his past comments on terrorism. He once declared that he was always happy when infidels were massacred. Many Nigerians on social media said they believed the minister could not be trusted with public data, especially with the National Identification Number and Subscriber Identity Module integration exercise under his watch. Pantami later apologised, saying he had become more mature on religious matters and that he made the radical comments while in the university. https://www.instagram.com/p/CTuRBZhtbDu/ https://www.leakerspost.com/4856/buharis-wife-posts-video-of-prof-isa-ali-weeping-over-insurgency/ Cc MissyB3 Cc Fynestboi Cc Seun Cc Mynd44 |

Gumi, in a video which surfaced online on September 7, was seen standing with Usman Yusuf, a former chief executive officer of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), near a signboard that read ‘Muslim Grammar School, Modeke, Igboho’. I visited the Kabiyesi, Onigboho of Igboho (Oba John Bolarinwa) and he told me that nobody gave Gumi land in the town. “The people of the town also said they didn’t know when he came and they said he must not come again. He is the spokesperson for bandits. They (residents) did not want him to ever come to their town again. “We don’t want what happened in Igangan to happen in Igboho or anywhere in Yorubaland. The people of Igboho said they don’t want him and that he must never come there again. We don’t want bandits here, we don’t want him to use religion to deceive our people and we were happy that nobody gave him land there.” Meanwhile, Sunday Igboho is still in detention in Benin Republic following his arrest on July 20 while trying to board a flight to with his wife. https://www.leakerspost.com/1149/igbohos-mother-advice-sheikh-gumi-to-avoid-yorubaland/ Cc MissyB3 Cc Fynestboi Cc Seun Cc Mynd44

Inspector-General of Police Usman Baba has sent the report by a special investigation report on deputy commissioner of police Abba Kyari to the Police Service Commission. The IGP also forwarded the report to the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice Abubakar Malami. Mr Kyari, who is currently suspended from the Force, was alleged by US authorities to have been involved in a $1.1 million fraud orchestrated by Instagram sensation Ramon Abass aka Hushpuppi. PUNCH reports that the commission and Malami received the report last week. Its source was quoted as saying, “The commission and the AGF got the police report last week but there is nothing for us to do at the moment. The IG has directed that Kyari should be queried.” Chairman of the investigation Joseph Egbunike, a deputy inspector general of police, had submitted the report to the IGP at the Force Headquarters, Abuja on August 26. It was also gathered that the in-house set up by the commission to study available documents related to the Kyari’s indictment would soon complete its investigation and submit its findings to the PSC management. A document from the Federal Bureau of Investigation filed before the United States District Court for the Central District of California had alleged that Hushpuppi contracted Kyari to detain a co-conspirator, Chibuzo Vincent, for threatening to expose the alleged $1.1m fraud committed against a Qatari businessman. The agency also said Hushpuppi paid $20,600 into a bank provided by Kyari. https://www.leakerspost.com/1145/police-service-commission-receives-report-on-abba-kyari-hushpuppi/ Cc MissyB3 Cc Fynestboi Cc Seun Cc Mynd44

![]() Minister of information and culture Lai Mohammed has reassured that Nigeria cannot go the way of Afghanistan where the Taliban has taken the rein of power. The minister stated this in Washington DC during his engagements with international media organisations including BBC radio and television, Bloomberg and Politico. Mohammed is in the US to meet with international media organisations and think tanks on the achievements of the Buhari istration and efforts made so far in tackling insurgency, banditry and all form of criminality. Speaking with NAN after his respective meetings with the three media organisations, Mohammed said insinuations that the security situation in Nigeria could degenerate to that of Afghanistan was not correct. “Nigeria is not and will not be a failed state. Yes, we have challenges in some corners of the country but that has not made Nigeria a failed state. “A failed state is one where basic facilities are not available and everything has broken down but, Nigeria is not in that stage,” he said. Mohammed said Nigeria is not at war, adding that fake news and disinformation was being used to portray the country in precarious situation. “If what happened in Afghanistan is something to go by, then the Federal Government should be given kudos for the way it has handled insurgency in the last couple of years. “The lessons from Afghanistan today is that for over 20 years of American intervention and over a trillion-dollar spent and thousands of American lives lost, it took the Taliban just few weeks to recapture Afghanistan. “This should be a lesson for everybody that when you are fighting an insurgency or movement driven by ideology, it is always difficult to overcome and you must be resourceful, deploying both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches. “When people were saying we should invite mercenaries, the president was focused and maintained that our military has what it takes. “The President should be given kudos for believing in our military and deploying both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches,” he said. Mohammed said while a lot of efforts had been put into kinetic approach, the Nigerian military also engaged in non-kinetic approach, building hospitals, reviving schools, teaching in some of the schools and delivering medical care to the people in affected areas. According to the minister, the non-kinetic approach to fighting insurgency in the northeast had led to droves of insurgents coming out to surrender arms and pledge their loyalty to the government. https://www.codedhits.com/nigeria-cant-go-same-way-as-the-afghanistan/ |

A Federal High Court in Abuja has summoned the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Bichi, over the arrest and detention of RevolutionNow protests convener, Omoyele Sowore. Justice Iyang Ekwo ordered on Tuesday that Messrs Malami and Bichi be present in court on December 23. The judge gave the order in the fundamental suit filed by Mr Sowore against the AGF and DSS over his arrest and continued detention. Sowore wants the court to order the DSS to pay him N500 million as damages for his detention and violation of fundamental rights. A judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja signed a release order for Sowore on November 6 after he met the bail conditions set by the judge. But the DSS refused to release him. Following Sowore’s initial arraignment in September, he was granted bail by the trial judge. But the SSS disregarded the order and the government filed new charges against the Sahara Reporters’ publisher. Sowore in his suit dated November 20, wants, among others, “A declaration that the detention of the applicant from November 7, 2019, till date in violation of the order for his release made on November 6, 2019, is illegal as it violates his fundamental right to liberty guaranteed by Section 35 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) and Article 6 of African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights (Ratification and Enforcement Act (CAP A10) Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.” https://www.ngvibezloaded.com/court-summons-malami-dss-dg-over-sowores-detention/ Cc Lalasticlala Cc MissyB3 Cc Fynestboi Cc Seun Cc Mynd44

The Nigerian Military School (NMS), Zaria, on Tuesday donated a motorised borehole facility to Unguwan Malam Sule, Jushin-Waje community in Zaria to boost the civil-military relationship. Commissioning the project at Unguwan Malam Sule, Jushin-Waje in Sabongari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the Commandant, Maj-Gen. Muktar Mohammed-Bunza urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the facility. He said: “The essence of this project is to foster civil-military relation, that is between the Nigerian Military School Zaria and our host community, Anguwan Malam Sule, Jushin-Waje community. “Apart from this, we have been extending similar gesture to different communities annually; whenever we have an end of the season exercise we conduct civil-military relation activities to the neighbouring communities. “In the last two years, people of Karaukarau have been benefiting and this year we said let us come to our host community to sink this borehole for them.” He said the project was in line with the mission and vision of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, towards facilitating good relationship between the civilians and the military across the nation. On the relationship of the school with its host community, the Commandant said for the past 65 years of the school’s existence, it had lived peacefully and harmoniously with its host community. “There had never been any day that we had a misunderstanding between the school and the host community and we pray this cordial relationship will continue to flourish until eternity,” he prayed. Responding, the Village Head of Anguwan Malam Sule, Alhaji Abdullahi Tanko-Sule, appreciated the commandant for what he described as a people-oriented project. “We thank God Almighty for bringing this kind of individual to lead the school which we happened to be the host, we appreciate his humility, kindness and accommodation.” Tanko-Sule promised to ensure that the facility was put to good use for the benefit of the entire community. He, however, appealed to his subjects to see the project as their personal property, adding that every individual must play his/her role towards safeguarding the facility. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the facility with a large overhead tank is constructed with four tap-heads for multiple usage. https://www.ngvibezloaded.com/nms-donates-borehole-to-community-to-boost-civil-military-relationship/ Cc Lalasticlala Cc MissyB3 Cc Fynestboi Cc Seun Cc Mynd44
