The year was 2017 I was just itted to futminna to study biochemistry I rushed to nairaland and made a post tagging nwaAmaikpe to everyone's shock he came on to the post and said some words of encouragement this words actually went farther than expected I actually began to think yes I can go for my dream course instead of settling after all I am a trailblazer I tried another jamb while in school the first time and chose pharmacy(my dream course) I was so confident of being itted but alas! I was not offered anything I had to battle with depression and anxiety for months before gathering the courage to take another utme as at 2019 whilst I was in 200lvl I pushed myself to the extreme reading for both utme and semester courses. Finally the hard work has paid off I have been offered ission to pharmacy at the usman Dan fodio University sokoto, I wake up everyday with a smile on my face knowing if I die tommorow I won't live with the regret of never trying..its astonishing how a single comment can change one's life, I look forward to sharing my experience with fellow men of honour on this platform as I advance in my journey

Upon graduation, you'll be given a provincial certificate which is what you will use to intern at any approved organisation. However, some schools enrol their students for IT/Siwes programme in their 400 level, but most times, it's pro bono with very little stipends

No, you don't work with cadaver. You don't collect payment either till you're graduated and running your internship programme

what level will one be required to go for internship

It may be the country, but a biochemist can actually work in different areas like academia, industries such as food processing plants, beverage and alcohol factories to name a few. Combine it with a masters in something like food science or thereabout, and you're in for an awesome career

baba this our country biochemistry as a course no interesting o theres no place again for them o, i agree with you it's an awesome course just not in this naija

all that one na wash o am in 200lvp biochemistry right now and i still wrote jamb dis year hopinh to change to pharmacy despite wat any1 is saying
i have had the opportunity of having s with graduates from the fieod of biochem and i must say those guys they suffer like hell o .. even with first class there them they struggle for bank work

i always visited nl as a guest on my mum's phone and by then my choice of career path was a bit foggy think i was in ss2 or so .. but a group of certain intellects came together and formed a pharmacy thread .. as at that time mbbs was all over nl and i kind of liked it(bcuz it was popular) but on a faithful day i opened d pharmacy thread lo and behold i fell inlove with what i read and i continued reading more abd nore that was when i made a vow that i am going to study the course Pharmacy, its sad that the thread iant active anymore but God my village people now that i am on the verge of finally getting isaion to studying the course i really want to connect with the people who made me fall for the course at first i hope the names am about to mention are still on NL please guys i want to connect with u on any social media platform whatsapp or facebook

OK, good luck.
I saw a guy whose pharmacy ission was changed to Applied chemistry because he is Igbo using a Nasarawa indigene cert.
If you can maneuver your way through, good luck but if you try that in UDUSOK, they'll catch you and worse case cancel your ission.
That's why it is called a "provisional ission" if you don't meet the requirements, the ission will be withdrawn.
