Over the last 17 years we have been married,we have changed Churches twice and the whole family moved together. This shows that it goes beyond agreeing during courtship.
The phrase "Your God will be my God" is a powerful declaration of faith and devotion, spoken by Ruth in the bible is a good example. There should be oneness . Esprit de corps

Worthy to note that the appreciation of the Naira is insignificant here. The price should keep dropping.

Yesterday, at Ota market, a bag of 50kg rice is now #67,000.
Where are the cheap local rice sef? Dey don international standard?..Naija i hail

The real issue we face as a people is our tendency to exploit every government policy meant to local farmers. Self-interest and greed overshadow the long-term benefits, and we fail to see how our actions create ripple effects across the economy.

Petrol: In the past, we were at the mercy of NNPC, but now, competition has changed the game. The availability of alternatives has kept prices in check—no one can hoard fuel and expect to control the market. If Dangote had sole dominance, we would have been at his mercy.

Agriculture: Before border closures, food prices were relatively stable. The government introduced policies to encourage self-sufficiency, providing to local farmers. However, rather than ensuring affordability, many took advantage of the situation. Despite accessing government funds, they hiked prices outrageously. A crate of eggs that once sold for ₦600 skyrocketed to ₦6,000.

Transportation:The moment fuel prices rise slightly, transporters transfer the full burden onto engers, rather than spreading the increase fairly. Now that fuel prices are dropping, they refuse to adjust fares accordingly.

In short, government policies are generally beneficial, but dishonesty among Nigerians undermines their impact. At this point, I reopening the borders to allow food imports. Government should keep ing the farmers till they can meet up with demands. If some farmers and middlemen can't compete fairly, they should consider other professions.

Sir, there are so many fraud going on in the power sector.Tinubu need to change the heads here. Ironically, despite the huge money government have been giving them, the power supply is getting worse.

Are you aware that the minimum token you can buy on Band A is now #5,000? At a point we were told that money paid the prepaid meter would be refunded in form of unit but we were shortchanged.
These people already know that their time is fast ticking away and they are all bent to cash out before the thing cast.

igala1:
In as much as I'm not speaking for Tinubu's istration, it's the easiest thing to walk up to the DISCOs to know how conditions for the migration. Obviously, areas that have up-to 80% prepaid meters would be migrated to band A. Areas with 60% prepaid meter would likely me migrated to band B.

This is a good business initiative if the government can really take it seriously. The problem is that we lack proper planning as a nation. If all the roads, rails ,powerlines projects(completed and ongoing) were well
designed to accommodate this initiative,we would be spending less.
Network providers have no business cutting roads upandan.
Kudos to our Hon. Minister

If we claim the UK doesn’t produce much, then the question arises: where are all the immigrants working, especially in a country with a single-digit unemployment rate?

I believe the primary issue with many manufacturing-heavy nations like China and India is their large populations. The wealth per capita in these countries poses a significant challenge. This often results in employers exploiting workers with low wages and inadequate welfare systems.

In essence, I firmly believe that a nation’s growth is closely tied to the quality of life of its citizens. Ironically, Nigerians seemed to thrive during the period we lived what some called the "fake life," which made international financial institutions like the IMF envious.

Where else can you find individuals building houses, electrifying their communities, sinking boreholes, providing security, grading roads, and still managing to care for their families? That so-called "fake life" empowered us greatly until the IMF interfered out of envy. Now, they’re satisfied seeing us selling our properties to flee from our beloved country.

The government knows what the problems are but they have decided to tread softly to protect the cabals at the detriment of the masses. Where are the CNG conversion centers the government promised?

Infact, everyone that own a filling station should be given a licence to import fuel.We are tired of dancing to these tunes.
Infact,if you have a 50 litres keg,you should be given the license to import.

This is a video story shared by Brekete Family. It is about the ordeal of a Nigerian citizen in the hands of the Nigerian Police Force.

Solomon Bawa hails from Ajaga Family in Karo LGA of Nasarawa State.

In 2019, he was on his way to repair the tyre of his pickup when he was accosted by the Police who asked him if he knew any Bawa Gambo. He replied in the negative but they asked him to enter their vehicle to follow them to the station at Masaka.

On reaching there, they asked about his identity again and he told them his name, Solomon Bawa. After pressuring him to identify as Bawa Gambo and not getting a result, they took away his belt and shoes, then locked him up in a cell until daybreak.

He kept asking why he was locked up and got no response. Instead he got beaten and later transferred to State CID, Lafia. Here, he was beaten repeatedly and forced to identify as Bawa Gambo or tell them the whereabouts.

An Igbo trader who saw him, travelled to Solomon's home on his behalf, to inform his family of what is going on. His mother came to attest that his name is Solomon but was given no attention. Instead, he got beaten by one Inspector Usman Amgbashi to the extent that he got his forehead injured and lost his entire right arm to shrinking and paralysis.

Another Policeman, Inspector Ado Bature, advised him to accept the identity of Bawa Gambo or face more beating, especially as it was getting too much and may lead to his death and nothing will happen. Solomon had to accept, in the hopes that when he gets to court, he can explain himself. But this was not to be as he spent some months there. The only visitor he frequently had, his mother, died about 2 months after he had been held at the State CID.

After then, no one visited anymore and Solomon could not help crying everyday, at his loss. He was then transferred to Lafia Prison without being charged to court. He spent about 3 years in prison until he met with the Comptroller and explained his situation and ill-health. He was then transferred to Keffi Prison, where he spent another year but was getting some form of treatment on the now deformed hand.

Respite came in the form of a human rights lawyer, Barrister C.Y. Masha, who listened to his story when she came to the Prison. She took it upon herself to his identity by going to his hometown and retrieving his certificates, then pursued the matter until he was due to appear in court. It turns out that the said 'Bawa Gambo' had already appeared and bailed himself at the State CID while Solomon remained imprisoned.

After the first court session, the police never showed up again, despite Musa making multiple appearance with his lawyer, Barrister C.Y. Masha. He was then asked to provide two surety so he can be bailed, which he did. He went to retrieve his phone from State CID. He saw Inspector Usman Amgbashi, approached him and greeted him. He proceeded to tell him that he came for his phone but was warned never to step his foot there again or get beaten.

On October 4, after another no-show at the courts by the Police, he was advised by the same Igbo trader to go to Brekete Family to tell his story and possibly, get justice.

Today, the matter is being handled by the IGP himself, who called for a thorough investigation.

It's a bag of mixed fortunes ahead for Solomon, who now has to get justice with a deformed right hand, a permanent scar on his head, a late mother and four years of his life gone 'for nothing'
