All the ignorant that are making fun of him because of his health condition will surely get to his stage one day if they are still alive because old age will surely catch up with them and they will full of regret.
When we get to that age, we will REST sir. Not run for presidency.

amdman: POINTS TO NOTE
1. Pictures we post are mostly before inspection. Buyer will get more pictures and video after inspection, before purchase.
2. We do not buy all the cars we inspect.
3. If there is any issue we observe on inspection that was not previously disclosed, we refer to buyer to decide on the way forward
4. We drive almost all of the cars we buy to the warehouse for shipping. Till date, we have not had a case where any broke down on the way. We will not risk our lives to drive a defective vehicle because of small financial margins.
5. We do not use marketing gimmicks to persuade buyers. We disclose all issues known to us.
6. If we don't think the deal is a good one, we will tell you. If we don't perceive you will get value for your money, we will tell you as well.
Over a hundred cars and counting... and we are still here.
Big boy!!!!!

A few of the things you mentioned give me an idea who you are and the car you are referring to, and I will respond to you accordingly, as I recall severally calling you to order in respect of the monies you were throwing around.
Whilst we always appreciate candid so that we can improve, it is important that it should be factual. If any of my remarks above are untrue, please permit me to buttress them with screenshots of our chat.

I'm sorry but reading this I think you got taken by a kazeem. These are the most common issues "kazeems" defraud people with. If you really needed work done on all those systems there is NO way 100k would have covered it. It seems you paid something to do absolutely nothing and maybe even mess up the car more. The minute I read "compressor" my blood ran cold that you'd been screwed over by your mechanic.
Thank you for clearing this up. Compressor alone will take up close to 100k. She knows best the type of compressor she fixed.

This is not fair.
Not fair at all.
The reason we use this process is to cut cost and be actually sure is really a tokumbo.
My brother, differentiate what is "not fair" and what "is true". Life isn't fair all the time, but what I told you, is true.

I want to buy the mazda5 but I am a little afraid. Just paying money to someone you hardly know. I just called him but he was driving. Promsed to call back. Please I need People who have already bought to vouch for him bikonu. And I also need it in Abuja and I don't have a single penny to add and he should please promise me that they are no faults at all, I don't know how to manage faults, please AMDman you really need to do thorough inspection because I am not ready to visit any mechanic for now, I don't have the time and money.
Please car experts and customers who have already bought should comment on this.
I want to pay and wait in my house in Abuja for the car, I don't want to know anything about agents, etc. Please help me make up my mind cos I love the car and it will be my first car, yes I am a family man, 3 chidren. Thanks.
Dude, go to the auto market closest to you, do your inspection, get yourself someone to vouch for the auto dealer, get them to document all the promises you seek, buy your Mazda and wait to take delivery in your house. You seek who to blame. This thread isn't for you.

Learnt that this work was abandoned. No wonder Skimanski has stopped posting even though he still visits the place. The report is NOT encouraging at all. Na wa for Nairaland builders oooo
There's something obviously not right. The amount of negativity you've exuded on this build, at first I thought you were the owner, then I figured you were just a busy body with a bad to tarnish the reputation of skimanski.
Sorry I couldn't hold it in anymore.
By the way, the build from start to finish has been so fine. Skimanski, your attention details is Top of the line. Way to go sir.

- Any particular reason why the laundry room on the left hand apartment has it's own exit door to the terrace?
- In that same apartment, the space labelled 'Lobby' will be totally dark when all the doors are closed. I would do away with the bit of wall and door leading to the Laundry room so the Lobby connects directly into the Laundry room with natural light coming in therefrom.
Good luck.
Thanks for you time sir.
I considered that, but putting a door through the kitchen would change the aesthetics of kitchen.
Noted points for the lobby, I'd discuss it with Mr. Engineer.
God bless you. Thank you.

Soil compaction in building construction is an important process. We do this to ensure the soil surrounding the foundation footings and the soil under the floors and rammed in so they can be no spaces which can allow air pockets or speed up the capillary action of ground water.
To achieve that level of compaction, a lot of measures could be employed, from ponding the foundation with a steady flow of water to help sink in loose soils, to following it up with a physical method of ramming the soil into the ground with "rammers" made for the purpose or to walk a manual vibrating compactor which can shake the earth and compact the soil to resemble the original natural earth settlement which is always hard.
Thanks sir, I appreciate. God bless

Foundation Watering is an interesting topic. Geotect Engineers do more research on this topic. Though I am a structural engineer, I will try to explain a little I know.
We all are aware that generally soil behave like sponge. It shrinks in dry season and swells in wet season. This shrinking and swelling of soil around foundation causes movement of structure to and fro. This movement most times are very insignificant but often causes little stress on structures and return to it original state if no damage done.
In view of the above, Foundation watering is a way of keeping the moisture content of soil surrounding a foundation within reseanable limit.. I mean almost constant. This can be done by inserting horses a little closer to the foundation walls or concrete as the case maybe.
It is to be noted that the above should be controlled as much as possible.. As to much water may reduce the carrying capacity of the soil which may pose another challenge. Depending on the distance where water is place and the foundation wall.. And any absorbing water elements like trees around your structure.. Expert advice is always needed in foundation watering..
God bless you Sir. Thanks.

To get the effect I crave for, this pumping of water will be done for a long time, we need to burn a lot of fuel, but I must get my desired results, no cavity, no rabbit holes
Baba, please could you throw more light on how one can go about this? Please.
