This is the major reason why many Nigerians are suffering.
Imagine a making a profit of 500k in your business monthly in 2016 and by 2021, inflation sets in, tax increases, light, food, school fees for your kids...and basically every aspect of basic amenities (rent inclusive) how would such a person survive knowing that you have staffs to pay? Truth is you'll definitely lay off some so as to breath a little.
Crime rate is high not because the police and other security agencies aren't doing enough, but because more and more youths are plunged into the unemployment market, and the government is mute about it.
How many youths with first degrees gotten between now and five years ago can boast of Independence? Many are still squatting, depending on their parents, friends, families...etc for survival. Some are proudly advertising themselves as online scammers, others have resorted into far more terrible channels just to survive.
Those days it was very safe to comfortably embark on a 500km journey outside your State of residence for a job interview, today you will have to confirm and check and confirm any message sent to you for an interview even though it's taking place in your location. Hunger has made us more wicked and evil towards one another.
The problem with Nigeria isn't the government, it's the youths, those in power have stashed up enough wealth for their tenth generation, but the youths killing themselves and defending them online can't even boast of N20k in their .
The end SARS protest last year sent a very strong message to the government that power lies in the hands of the people, but division, greed, religion, sentiments, tribalism...etc, has blinded us to reality, that's why a section of the youths were contracted to disperse the peaceful youths who were protesting against SARS brutality which involves the back stabbers as well.
Nigerian will continue to be miserably governed, even the 2023 everyone is eagerly awaiting, won't make any difference if we the youths continue to elect the wrong people into power. It might even be worse if we don't wake up and grab our future these old men are gambling with.

Do they indulge in adultery? The write up didn't state that, so it's wrong to assume they did.

Ok, fuel subsidy has to go. Now, I don't like APC, and neither do i like PDP, but I am here to say that fuel subsidy needs to go.
1.First, it costs over a trillion naira annually to keep fuel at the price it is right now. Money that we do not have because since 2014, oil has been at a price that is too low to sustain us, and if we keep on keeping the subsidy, we would end up taking more loans to keep our head above water.
2.Second, we are inessence subsidisng the whole West African subregion, at our expense. On average, fuel costs twice as much in the rest of ECOWAS region, compared to us, and unless we totally close down every border, and build a wall that encomes the whole country, smuggling is going to continue, so either we end subsidy, or continue paying for the whole West Africa to enjoy subsidsed fuel at our expense.
3.We cannot have new refinereis, more than what we have, plus the NNPC refienres are broken down because subsidy. Because when you subsidsie fuel, that means that the refinereis run at al loss, meaning not enough money to fix them well. We have been running our refienreis at a loss since the late 1980's. And unless subsidy goes, not only would they continue to be out of repair, but even new ones like Dangote will end up like the NNPC refinereis, because you cannot run them at a loss.
4.Even the poverty excuse runs lame. Niger, Mali, Burkina, Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, are all porrer than us, yet they pay more for fuel. Ghana and BENIN AND Niger all have crude, even Chad, yet fuel costs over N300 per liter. If they are surviving, why can't we...and yes, I am sorry for being harsh, but it is the truth.
5.Subsidy is somehting that is prone to serious corruption. Whether it is the transporter claiming subsidy for oil never lifted, or the marketer claiming subsidy for oil not sold in Nigeria, but in Cameroonor Niger or Benin, at a profit...it is a nidus for corrution. Asking government to keep subsidisng corruption...when we don't have the money...is bad.
So, I agree 100% with the ministe.r And yes, I HATE APC, I LOATHE THE PARTY, just as i loathed PDP. But we cannot keep on throwing 1.2 trillion naira down a big hole every year. We have to attract investment and jobs, and increas eproduction...and the only way is by removign subsidy.
So before you quote me to abuse me and talk grammar, read these points. And focus on the diagram attached. And see why subsidy is bad. We cannot continue like this. We have destroyed our domestic oil industry, and we now pay other countries dollars to develop their oil industry, all because we want cheap fuel

Good day NLers, please I need your take on this.
I'm a student in one of Nigeria's prominent public universities.
A girl decided to vie for ission in my school via the predigree programme but she had no accommodation. Because of the relationship between my parents and hers, I offered to take her in from January till now
I offered a roof over her head.
The first night she came, she slept on the floor and I wasn't okay with that, the following night, I told her she could have the bed, I vacated my bed and relegated myself to sleeping on the floor, we can't share same bed since she's neither my babe nor sister. And this sleeping routine has continued ever since then. The floor is my new bed
I gave her my spare key, uncensored access to my kitchen and everything within my legal occupancy.
Cut long story short, last week Tuesday she woke up, had her bath, ate then stepped out briefly, when she returned we were outta water. Tap water of course. She called my attention to it to which I remained calm. Meanwhile I hadn't eaten neither had I bathed. At noon, she came to me that she was hungry but couldn't cook due to unavailability of water, I then asked her if I am to fetch her water??!.
She said she was gonn take food stuff to her friend's place (upstairs) to cook.
I replied by asking how many of her friends had lacked water and brought food stuff to cook here??!
She got angry and took some money and left
That same Tuesday, I went to see Chelsea game, when I returned, I asked her if she cooked but she didn't dignify me with her attention talk more of a response.
I thought it was rude but considered it as one of the many tantrums of ladies
The following morning, she woke up, acted like I don't exist, couldn't greet... had her bathe and left. Returned, unlocked the door, walked in like I wasn't there, ate, left to her friend's place.
On Thursday she repeated the routine, I called her back when she was going out, I asked her if she considered me as her father, brother or boyfriend that she'd wake up and start throwing attitudes...
I made her understand that I am her benefactor.
Hardly did I finish before she left. She returned and continued in same path and that has continued till this very moment...
Last night she didn't sleep at home, when she returned in the morning, she unlocked the door with her spare, walked in, ate, brushed, dressed and walked out without a single word e come be like say I be ghost.
What I did, I changed the locks, took some stuff, sealed my door with strict instructions to the caretaker then moved to a friends place outside my lodge and I've been there ever since.
She has returned and has been calling my line but I've been ignoring...
Now, is my action too harsh or still in line??!
