Good day everyone, Please any guru in the house who can help me with a walk through on how I can pay for my study permit using the barter by flutterwave app since the CBN new policy limits daily transactions to just $100 ?. Or are there any other better alternatives for someone trying to pay from Nigeria ?.

Due to recent CBN policies regarding online payment, I heard a lot of people are having difficulties to make online payment exceeding $100 and will I be charged black market rate or CBN rate when paying ?

Hello Everyone, I received the order for my gcms notes yesterday. I Will explain about myself in details related to this application, If you have any advice or recommendations you can help me I'll be glad so this can make my future application successful. 1. I graduated with Bsc in Information Technology from Bluecrest college Ghana. I am currently a graphic designer, I do this as a freelancer just to keep myself busy but I have the desire to be a data scientist in future, furthermore, I chose to Study a Post Graduate diploma in Data analysis at Langara College my reasons being, it's a 2 years course with and extra work term (5 semesters) which in turn gives me enough time to garner some good work experience while in school and on the other hand I will have a 3 years pgwp after graduation so I considered this a win-win for me despite choosing a PG Diploma instead of an MSc, all Msc in Data science I've researched so far are either just one year with no work experience or the tuition fees is out of my budget or both. 2. The second point about my finances is that the lump sum was paid into an estate by the federal government of Nigeria, the is overseen by me and my sister. The money was paid as retirement benefits for their workers who are deceased (my mother), my mother was a staff of the former energy company NEPA which was previously owned by the federal government of Nigeria. Although I did not specify this information in my SOP in my last application. Please immigration experts et all, your recommendations are welcomed, moving forward what would you advice me to do to make my next application successful ? Thank you very much.

OtunbaTee: Thanks for the advice boss, my Reason for the pdg is I wanted a course that is more practical and hands on, the college I applied for offers that practicality ( I stated all of this in my SOP). Also when I started applying for schools, I applied at Trent university for an MSc in Data analysis and I wasn't successful so I had opt for this pdg program. |

OtunbaTee: I have a 2.1 bsc information technology, my sponsor is my dad (he declared 8mil naira), he is retired. But I am partly funding my education in Canada from a t estate owned by me and my sister but bears my late mother's name because the was opened to transfer funds owed by the Nigerian FG (declared 16mil naira) |

Frankrobbn1: Hello Frankrobbn1, I was denied with the same similar reasons. My information includes Previous degree : Bsc Information Technology, Choice of program : Data Analysis PD Diploma, langara college, Vancouver. My education is sponsored partly by an t estate owned by me and my sister as we are the only benefactors signed by the bank (which bears my late mother's name because the was opened to transfer funds from the Federal Government to the ) and partly by my father who is retired. Thank you very much for helping out. |

Hello Everyone In the house, I can't thank you guys enough for the life saving information you all post here, that's why I always come here when I need helpful information. Well long story short, I think I might have hit a stumbling block with my study abroad journey. I just received my refusal letter from the Canadian embassy and my refusal was based on these two reasons : • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. Based on the second point, I presented 23m naira as my proof of funds from a t estate owned my me and my sister (i also stated in my SOP and presented a letter signed by my sister that the funds in the t estate will be directed towards my education in Canada). I don't know why they gave the refusal based on the first point. Adding to this; I have a bsc in Information Technology, I applied for a PG diploma in Data Analysis in Langara college Vancouver. The only work experience I have related to this course was in my nysc service year (2019/20), will the gap in employment affect my application ?. Please, our travel abroad guru's in the house @Frankrobbn1, @JustMellow can be of any help please. I just need some assistance on how I can tackle this issue and structure my next SOP during my next application. Thank you very much.
