I have someone that works with Lagos State government, and she promised to help me get job this march with Lagos state government….
According to her she said there is only going to be space this march…

She told us this since last year October or so, even till last month that my mum still ask her she said we should wait till march…

My question and curiosity is that she only have my cv, she have not even call me to anything online or so…tho she is a top management staff…just wanna ask if is possible for her to help me get the job despite d fact that she haven’t called me for any registration and she is still insisting on this march.

But most importantly you need a mentor, survey is something you can never do on your own if you don’t see someone that will teach you.

I understand but growing up, my teachers impacted me more than i can . They do not care who your father was and they did there job without fear or favour. Now we see teachers who are less motivated because employers do not pay them well, parents intimidates them and you dare not punish kids for not doing assignments. This same parent like you said who had little or no time for kids still blame the teacher's for failure

Last term I happen to teach in a secondary school near barracks, so they have some soldier children as their student.

I teaches mathematics junior classes in this school.
There was a boy in jss1 that I flogged, after flogging the boy the next thing the boy said was master ‘sheybi u Dey come barracks na’ meaning he will report me to his father and d man will beat me cos I use to go to the barracks to play ball.

He should rather force them to pay their teachers well instead of billing them

After NYSC last year, I have since then been looking for job but all to no avail Buh I still stay back in the area I served atleast to start my life here, I felt there is honor been outside than staying at my fathers.

I decided to start part time teaching this term, atleast if I get like 3 to 4 schools offering like 15 to 20k it’s something…

Luckily for me the school I served were in need of maths teacher so I went there and they employed me….but the interesting part is that the day they employed me on Monday, a guy also came for interview seems English teacher or so, after his micro teaching, the mgt actually liked his teaching style and they employed him immediately.

Asked him about how much can they pay him, he said 25k lol, the school said they will give him 30k

So they took him to the staff room, give him table and all that…within that few minute he spent in the school dunno how he knew that a student brought an iPhone 14 to school, so he approached the student that he should borrow him his phone that he wants to see movies on the phone and ask for pin incase the phone locked, the boy gave him the phone and the since he knew he is their new teacher.


Swears in a blink of an eye we could not find g guy again, we searched the whole school, that’s when we realized that the guy has fled eith with the phone….

Called his number on the CV switched off, his referee number is just 10 digit.

Tho the school is just standing on that we have tell the student not to bring phone to school…

Buh I kept imagining that how could a teacher do that kind of thing….

I have upper credit in business istration in both my HND and OND..

And ve taught economics for like 3 years, I even teach Economics during my NYSC..

Am a corps member serving in a school here in Ogun state…

During this just concluded term…wen we student are busy compiling results and their report cards…

I just left the staff room to go pee, that’s where I saw some junior student outside mumering…I moved close to them to ask what the problem was…they told me that the seniors are doing something in one jss1 class…

Initially I thought they were smoking cos we caught one of the seniors…a girl for that matter smoking loud inside d school…

I just called one of their teachers and explain what the student told me….

So myself and d teacher sneak through the window…
Omo it was life watching live porn…if u see d way the student were romancing themselves….pressing themselves….haaa


We later learnt they they even rent a room at d back of the school where they use to go after closing to do their rubbish


Note: the school is a very big school…and most of the student here their parent are rich

My cousin abroad called this December that he will like to take me to the UK… probably cause of my dads benevolent act towards his mum in the past years

Tho I told him that I will be finishing my service February that I can leave anytime now…and he said no problem that we gonna start d processing January

Buh d reality is that I will be finishing my NYSC july 2023

Just wanna ask if there is no issue if I forfeit this service year and leave or I should just stay back and complete the service?

We Nigerians are just too Religious sometimes. Someone share a testimony in church how he got a job without the interviewer interviewing him because he wore an handband of the same church with the interviewer. Vola!! He got the job. Likewise some other person's been rejected because they belong to a particular church/ denomination or Religious belief.
It remains me of some yrs back when a pastor in my church was the lawyer incharge of a property Am about to rent,after getting the property, he saw me in church one day, he was surprise & ask me why did
n't I tell him Am a member of the church,I just told him I wanted him to deal with me as a client not as a church member.
Getting a job is a job on its own.
