Gen Buhari said one of his key priorities is to turn around the economy and create jobs! However, on Monday he made an appointment in Onitsha to meet the Organized Private Sector and the market leaders for discussions, who waited for him all day and he never appeared, they waited from 9am to 9pm and he never showed up, or sent word. On the following Wednesday he was due to meet with Manufacturing Association of Nigeria President and other senior , and again they waited all day for him and he never showed up! It would seem that the General has nothing to say, or to offer, on the economy, or any other issue as we have seen throughout the whole campaign. AGAIN Buhari Flunks the Economy Test! If he cannot meet these Captains of industry, the entrepreneurs that will drive the Nigerian economy, while he supposed to be on campaign what hope do we have if he is in Office? The event on Monday was televised and Eastern MAN, South East and South South, Chambers of Commerce, etc, and he never showed up in Onitsha. Apparently Ngige came eventually, but said nothing constructive. Meanwhile, on Tuesday Mr. President met with the OPS, Organized Private Sector in Aba, held fruitful discussions on the economy and their needs, and as a result he has made the MAN President a member of the Economic Team. This shows respect for the men, and woman, who drive the economic vehicles that will grow the economy, creating employment and further solidifying the Transformational achievements. One does not need to be a genius to KNOW who will perform, and whom one can trust to grow the economy, improving the lives of Nigerians and ensuring a brighter future for all. Nigerians, lets move forward and not backward. Vote wisely! Vote GEJ/Sambo 2015! 1 Like 1 Share |

Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Kenneth Minimah Chad, Nigerien troops in charge of border town … As military restrains loitering ALJAZEERA journalists from restricted areas Senator Iroegbu in Abuja The Nigerian Army has debunked reports in the media that about 500 people, mostly women and children were abducted by the Boko Haram terrorists in Damasak, Borno State. This is coming as the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) stated that Chadian and Nigerien troops are in charge of security and protection of the border town of Damasak in Borno State according to dictates of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) establishing the Multinational t Task Force (MJTF) against terrorism in Nigeria’s north east. The Acting Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Col. Sani Usman, stated this yesterday during a press briefing on the activities of the Service within the period under review. While fielding questions from journalists on the fate of the 500 people allegedly kidnapped by the terrorists, described such claims as a total fabrication. "It is not true. Its is all lies and I don't just want to start discrediting any news agency but this particular medium has been in the habit of dishing out false news like in more than four occasions now. Please there is no 500 people that was kidnapped", he said. In a related development, PRNigeria quoting military sources, said that DHQ has clarified the nature of military arrangement in the border town of Damasak, which has generated controversy recently. According to sources, the clarification became necessary in view of a trending speculation in major international media that another 400 children and women were kidnapped and led away by Boko Haram terrorists while fleeing from Damasak recently liberated by Chadian and Nigerien troops. The military personnel who spoke with PRNigeria wondered how fleeing terrorists who were pounded by Nigerian Air Force aircraft before being overwhelmed by forces from the two MJTF participating troops would pack over 400 individuals along with them in the process. “Although we are not officially responding to such baseless assertions because it has become normal for some interests to manufacture something so that their media will have something negative to report about Nigeria. It is nevertheless important to let them know that troops from Niger and Chad have been in charge of protecting that town and we wonder how they would have allowed Boko Haram the luxury of such mass kidnapping? “Were the abducted individuals herded away on foot or packed in trailers or small trucks?”, the source wondered. Meanwhile, two journalists working for Aljazeera Television who were found to have been loitering around restricted areas where military operations are ongoing in the North East have been restrained in Maiduguri. The DHQ in a statement published on defenceinfo.mil.ng, stated that “the journalists, Ahmed Idris and Mustafa Andy who were noted to have been moving around various locations including restricted areas in Yobe and Borno State were also operating without any protection, accreditation or due clearance. "They were accordingly monitored by military intelligence operatives until they eventually had to be restrained to their hotel in Maiduguri. This followed the increasing suspicion that their activities were aimed at interfering with the ongoing military operations in the area. "The motive, activities and some material in possession of these individuals are being investigated", the statement read. The military authorities recalled that foreign journalists have earlier been cautioned against unauthorised and unprotected movements around the military operations area. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/boko-haram-army-debunks-kidnap-of-500-women-children-in-damasak/205024/#.VRLu2_b414w.twitter 5 Likes 1 Share |

This is truly change. They have changed from school to their homes! I know Fashola will soon blame GEJ visit to Lagos for this...Fashola statement loading LASU Closed down Indefinitely- Fashola has failed in the educations sector again The Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo has been closed down indefinitely following the inability of the government to meet the demands of its staff union including the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and National Academic Staff Union (NASU). Some of the demands of the staff unions include: the appointment of an acting vice-chancellor to preside over the convocation that would have been held last week and right the wrong allegedly done by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Obafunwa’s including the victimisation of its , withdrawal of certificates of lecturers and abuse of due process by the university’s management. The closure, according to reports, might not be unconnected with the crises that had been rocking the 30-year-old institution with the unions being at loggerheads with the VC over several issues. It had also ed a vote-of-no-confidence on him several months ago. Last week, staff unions, including the SSANU and NASU, had staged a mass protest where Obafunwa was successfully booted out. During the protest at the institution’s campus in Ojo, Obafunwa, who gained entrance with the aid of security officials, was chased out with sachet of water thrown at him. Addressing of ASUU at an emergency congress meeting before heading for a meeting with the state government, the association’s President, Adekunle Idris, noted that the university community was tired of the istration of Obafunwa, adding that he had tried to cripple the association with attempts to freeze its and stopp its check-off dues of the association. Stating the demands of ASUU to be tabled before the state government, the association’s president said the demands remained the same. He noted that Obafunwa would not preside over the university’s convocation. According to him, “Convocation can proceed if an acting vice-chancellor is appointed” he said. “The four months balance of our arrears of increment should be paid. The new acting vice chancellor must take care of the victimisation, withdrawal of certificates and other issues. “Process for the appointment of a new vice-chancellor on a one term basis must begin now. Abuse of due process as of different academic associations elected into the senate of the university must be allowed to sit. “About N3.2 billion belonging to LASU from the intervention fund should be accessed. The new VC should set up a budget monitoring committee which Professor Obafunwa had refused to set up must be put in place to so as to assess the fund. “The inappropriate promotion of some staffs and appointment must be reviewed or reversed.” He also stated that staff accused of embezzlement must be investigated and punished. The association, however, declared that following the protests by NASU, which he said could have led to the lynching of the former vice chancellor and some other principal officials of the university, it might be forced to suspend lectures as the association does not physical attacks on any academic staff. In a related development, the institution has declared election recess. The Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Ronke Osho, said in a text message to THISDAY that, “In view of the forthcoming national and state elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11, respectively, the university management of LASU has declared a recess for both staff and students with effect from on Monday 23, 2015. Students and staff are therefore advised to vacate the campus immediately. The date of the resumption will be announced later. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/lasu-closed-down-indefinitely/204891/ |

When this man promised to stabilize world oil prices, his followers defended him. But you cannot hide water in your palm. He has released another one again. This time, he will make the Naira equal in value to the dollar! Anybody pushing this man a a presidential candidate has to have their head checked. This is a complete joke of a candidate... ![]() ![]() ![]() Owerri – The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday said he would ensure that the Naira was equal to the dollar in value, if voted into office. Buhari stated this during the South-East presidential rally of the party at Dan Anyima Stadium, Owerri. “It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation’s economy,’’ he said. He urged the people to vote for APC, noting that he would ensure that corruption was tackled headlong if elected. Earlier, Gov Rochas Okorocha had urged APC ers to vote for the party’s candidates at all levels, noting that a vote for Buhari without to others at the state would amount to nothing. Okorocha said Buhari would address the problem of electricity, bring back the kidnapped Chibok girls and promote industrial growth. He said that Buhari was loved by the people in the region and urged them to elect him and other APC candidates during the March 28 and April 11 general elections. Former governor of Anambra, Mr Chinwoke Mbadinuju and former Minister of Education, Chinwe Obaji, were formally welcomed to the APC at the rally. The rally was attended by APC ers from Abia, Ebonyi, Anambra, Enugu and Imo. OBJ is at it again. Taking a U-turn to disappoint APC folks... ![]() ![]() ![]() Someone wrote this on FB and I love it to pieces: Just a few days back, it was the turn of 120 Atiku Group, coming in with the light and denouncing the devil with her works, as the camp of the lord's anointed continued to swell. Just as recent as yesterday, it was the turn of Gov Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi ,to tell Nigerians, how the Market had been, as his once trusted and loyal Deputy, dropped him like a piece of hot iron.and ing the winning Party. And just today, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has denied his people three times, before the "Rooster Crows". The whole PDP-PARTY-CARD-SHREDDING- JAMBOREE, has been publicly denied, just as it was publicly executed, What a world ! Any wonder they say "he that is with the lord is with Majority"? Like I normally say in this platform, APC are ganging-up for nothing! President Goodluck Jonathan has got no competition in this race and they know it. This is to reiterate that Nigerians are at the verge of a victory that would usher in the needed stability, equity and equality amongst the entire Country. Goodluck......take a bow sir, for the Ayes have it ! #VoteJonathan, Vote wisely to avoid voting for nothing. 1 Like |

montedo: Change is an ambiguous word. So it means nothing in this campaign season. When Jonathan wins, it will still be change! So you are only fooling yourself! As long as man is on the earth, he will always change and will always need change. So your campaign slogan is useless and meaningless. It would have had a good meaning if APC were an example of positive change but they are not. They are terrorists, liars, wicked leaders and con men. ![]() ![]() ![]() 1 Like |
