It's an habitual thing with me, and I've been at it for a decade, at least.

An individual would have access to high levels of wisdom, by listening to some distinct programmes on radio.

Hello everyone, most of the time I come here on nairaland and I see some threads where people are calling for help with different sob stories.

Most times we really can't place it, you really can't say who really needs the help or who is trying to play smart.

I a time a particular guy was caught that he's been doing it for long and he was bursted and I also a time a guy was credited and the following day he showed reciept of the system he bought and the system.

I think helping people online is just like a gamble because you really can't tell who needs it,some people are masters at deception and perfect liars whereas some people really need it but it's hard for them to get the help.

I during covid 19 too, I had a neigbor who is from a well to do home and he's making like 100k per month then and he also dropped his details for Don jazzy online giveaway then and he won 100k, believe you me he called his babe and they blew the money......when he told me I felt bad because there are some family men who genuinely need the money badly and will use it better than him.

Now, how do we know those who genuinely need it?

A lot of scammers are truly on here, and I've been a victim number of times.
They make it hard for true help seekers to get the needed succour, through their acts of charlatanry and chicanery.

How to point out those who're in need of genuine help?!

• Non-concealment of identity. Those in dire need of help don't hide their details, especially from their would-be helpers.

• Presence of genuine proofs and evidences. Genuine help seekers provides proofs, which augments and solidifies their claims.

• Non-usage of insulting words. Those who're really in need don't indulge in abusing or using vulgar words on people, especially those who challenge the proofs of their authenticities.

•. Non-deletion of help-seeking thread. Bogus help-seekers are fond of cleaning their traces, so most times, they don't hesitate to delete the help-seeking threads they created, whether or not they got the sought-after help.
True help-seekers don't delete their help-seeking threads. Because of their authenticities, they won't tamper with the CV of philanthropism, of the help-giver.


On personal grounds, I've been seeking aid for months now, for the distinct aim of completing my orthopaedic treatment at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital.

I'm almost done with the treatment, with 3 - 4 months remaining, and the concomitant need of virtually 80 - 90k, to totally complete the treatment.

Though seeking aid on here has been difficult, I was lucky to stumble on someone few months ago, who benevolently donated 50k out of the total amount needed to see the treatment to it's completion.

I have proofs which confirms my narrations, and also buttress my claim of needing monetary help momentarily, to complete my treatment in earnest.

If it's within your power to render financial aid at any capacity at this time, I won't mind sir. It's the treatment completion that I'm after.

I have delved into the phase of treatment completion and the precise details have been made known to me.

The made-known details birthed two eventualities sir. I'm faced with two realities in the course of treatment completion:

• the current monetary strength, which you contributed immensely to, would sustain the treatment for 2 months out of the 5 months duration of the treatment completion.

• there would be the need for physiotherapy sessions right after the treatment, in order to completely circumvent the acquired t stiffness due to the inflammation.
