We can learn how to be civil here.. If you think an information given is misleading, you can always express a correction in a very subtle and matured tone. There is nothing wrong in saying; "From my experience, I am sure (if you are 100% sure) the Finland embassy does not require a certified copy of your documents" and probably follow up with prove. I’m not familiar with processes but for Finland this is how to get your RP & i believe it might cover you for your studies( The most important is for you to start your studies & you will figure the remaining out later.

1. To prove your means of sustainability as a student in Finland , you can use a sponsor that will deposit an equivalent of 6720 Euros (560 Euros per month X 12 months for a year RP) in Naira into your Nigerian bank . The money has to be there for the duration of your application & you can remove it apply you get your RP. The sponsor might be anybody you know not necessary your family but he/she must have a good Statement of (SOA) because the sponsors SOA will be submitted also at the point of RP application.

2. To legalize your documents, go to any court in Nigeria for Certify True Copy stamp on the photocopies of your credentials ( you must go with the original for them to see it)

Photocopies of all credential, IELTS result, port data page ,birth certificate and relevant documents

3. Finland gives Residence Permit (RP)for study not visa. For you to apply for RP,application is done online through https://enterfinland.fi/eServices
where you will all your documents .
After that, you will apply for biometric & documents submission at VFS global in Abuja before the will give you appointment date to Finland Embassy in Abuja for interview. The interview is less than 10 minutes .

I applied to HTW in Berlin, and got an ission to study MSc. Construction and Real Estate Management. However, it is an exchange program in which I have to spend my 1st & 2nd semester in Metropolia UAS, Helsinki, Myllypuro Campus and my 3rd & 4th semster in HTW Berlin.
Here are my worries; from my research, I learnt that since my point of first entry is Finland, I have to apply for visa through the Finland embassy. I have gone to read different articles online about the visa application/processes.
1. How do I prove my means of sustainability? Can I use a block just like the style or a Nigeria bank statement is sufficient?
2. I saw legalization of documents, how important is this and where and how can it be done? Which documents should be legalized?
3. When I checked the "https://visa.finland.eu/nigeria/Online-Application-form.html" for visa category, I could only see (research/training), does student visa falls under this category?

Early this year I applied to University of Potsdam (Toxicology & Digital Health) and Wurzburg (Neuroethology), I wasn't offered an ission in those two schools. My undergraduate CGPA is 4.24 Nigeria scale (around 1.- German Scale).

Definitely it is. I had an issue like this with one Yanky school. I had to let go cos my school sent my transcript twice after they said the first one wasn’t official thinking they didn’t package it well not knowing they meant the courses were not well detailed just like in your own case. Some international schools can be that dramatic. If you can get your department handbook where the courses are well explained. You can type it out and send it to them in relation to each course you did from your first year till end

I did my interview on the 25th of Sept. I went with confirmation of €8,829 and I got an e-mail the next day to top up. I made the top up and sent them the confirmation on the 5th of Oct.
I didn’t receive any email from them confirming the receipt of my email which I have sent like 3 different times.
I’m thinking of sending it though fax or going to the consulate to drop it off. This waiting time is kinda hard as I check and refresh my email almost every minute.
For those who had similar experience, do you think the email I have sent is enough of I should drop the hard copy at the consulate?
Did you receive any email back from the consulate acknowledging that they have gotten your email?

From sept 1 you are employed to fund the new amount ..what’s written on the make transfer document given to you by your service provider,is it 8640 or 10236?,if it’s the latter fintiba won’t give you confirmation for paying the amount you just did if it’s the previous then they might send the confirmation and advice you increase the BA in your since that’s the instruction ..I even think they should have updated their system now to the new amount officially from sept 1,so it’s either you complete your blocked money
or you go to the interview with your printed statement of ed from your fintiba

It is 8640 I have up till now. Anytime fintiba sends me thier friendly reminder which they still did today. It still brings the 8829

Go for your interview with the previous amount. Then after the interview, start hustling to get the remaining money. Even if your AM shows, they'll still ask you to top up before issuing you visa.

Hello everyone. Pls I need urgent answers as this is my very first time here.
My interview is 25 Sept. and I wasnt able to raise the €10,230 but I just funded the previous amount required €8,829 (confirmation not yet seen)
I will like to know if anyone has done his/her interview in September with the previous block amount asked and how long will it take to get a confirmation with the amount I just blocked.
