Yes dog do undergo depression. This happened to my old dogo. He lost his best friend and that was how he became depressed for a while. Thanks to some YouTube videos I watched on how dogs need to be socially involved with other dogs, spending time and most importantly. Give your dog some good treats. I hope that helps.
