Hello house, please I will really appreciate if anyone can tell me how I can the SA High Commission in Lagos ( mail address or number) if you have any of those.I reapplied for my daughter whose application was denied based on "Birth certificate lacking credibility" since late Aug and my own visa is already counting and I only have this month before it expires. NO YOU DON'T NEED TO, IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE WHO CAN DO THAT ON YOUR BEHALF IN ABUJA BUT IT HAS TO BE DONE AT THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS IN ABUJA.
I referred someone from this thread to someone who helped me a week ago and she already got her docs back.....
Pls DON'T make the mistake some of us made before getting the info.

Spoke to a lawyer friend at the Ministry of Justice Abuja and that was how I got to know that it can only be done at the FCT Abuja

Applied on the 11th July and visa was issued on the 25th July( Been to SA 3times) this will make the 4th.

Your child's birth certificate must be certified at the Ministry of foreign affairs in Abuja. My daughter's visa was denied in January for the same reason of her birth certificate lacking credibility. Had to authenticate it first at the Ministry of Foreign affairs before resubmitting it. Relative Visa it was tho.

Good morning house, please I will like to know how long it takes to get visa response. I applied for a sa visa to attend a 3days Conference in second week of August. I submitted my documents on 19th of July and got an automated email saying it has been forwarded for processing but till date I haven't heard anything else. Anyone with any helpful info or will be so much appreciated.

No u Don't need too, but I'll advice u submit in Lag(u can send someone to book an appointment for u ones he/she has the photocopy of ur data page) due to the time difference it takes to issue visa.

that was what they said about my two kids... plz anyone with good solution shud help... madam how did u certify ur childs birth certificate, cos I gave birth to my kids at a private hospital and I collected the govt birth certificate for them too.

They certify/motorized outside VFS in Lekki, a guy does that. When did u get it response and were u also asked to do a written representation?
I'm planning on doing that this coming week but I really hope they will allow someone make the submission on my behalf.

....Applied On the 11th of July at the Lagos VFS for a visitors visa for my 3 months old daughter and myself.Got a mail and message that it's ready for pick up yesterday 25th (10working days I total) Been to SA thrice.Got the visa but my baby wasn't given.
Reason .....that my husband's data page wasn't notorized
......
And that her birth certificate lacks credibility (She was born in a private hospital, but we obtained the government birth certificate when processing her port, I submitted that and certified it as well)

This is what was written below the reasons given.......
You may within 10 working days frm receipt of the notification make written representation to the south African Consulate General Lagos via VFS,visa Application center Lagos

Pls house as per it's an authorized directives from the consulate itself, I wanna asked if i will still need to book an appointment

And secondly, thinking of including all pictures from my Preggo day to delievery day till date.

Please advice ooo and can someone submit all this on my behalf as I Don't reside in Lagos.

Hello, i think it depends on the reason you are been sponsored and your relationship to the sponsor. But I will advice you use your personal .

Applied on the 15th with my hubby and got a pick up message on the 19th(3working days). Our port was delivered yesterday by UPS with the visa in it.Although this is my second time( 2nd S.A. Visa & my hubby's 3rd). All the best to everyone waiting.Cheers

@Teefab, how much in naira depends on the exchange rate of the date. As of now, expect something in the region of 300 plus or less. As for the things you need to go to vfs with for biometric, it will be stated in your biometrics letter. If i correctly, its your port and biometrics letter sent to you. .

Yes, it was exactly the same documents I submitted during my application in December. That is, I repeated same documents during my submission in January but with a reprinted Statement. Please take note that the statement must not be older than a week during submission.
