Yeh. I understand you. That's why I want to wait for up to 8months to build consistent income. I'll say I'm in a salaried employment this time.
My question is: will it be a problem if I claim I'm in a salaried employment now. Meanwhile in my previous application I said I was self employed.?

As an adult that is not an aged parent to the UK sponsor, your circumstances would be the focus when assessing your visa application, not those of your brother in law. For him to fully sponsor you, there must be compelling reasons for the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) to grant you a visa. My advice is to set aside the idea of your brother in law’s sponsorship; it won't influence their decision. Instead, focus on demonstrating to the ECOs that you are eligible and not a potential immigrant despite your relative sponsoring you.
Be prepared to provide your routine statement, not just a fixed deposit. They need to see how you yourself and your economic situation in your own country- reapply next month and be sure of another refusal.
Too bad if you are not currently employed. It won’t work.

What if Im able to show proof of being in a salaried employment. Then build up my for about 6 to 8 months(with consistent salary coming in) before re applying . Will they consider the fact that I said I owned a business previously and reject the application?
Also, how much will be a good monthly salary please.

1.application letter,
2.birth certificate,
3.my sister's birth certificate,
4.cac docs,
5.marriage certificate and letter from my husband, 6.sponsorship and invitation letter from my sis and brother in law.
I'm thinking of using fixed deposit , to show I have funds. Or do I say I am in a salaried employment and build savings for months before re applying?

Hello everyone.Please I need advise on this issue.
My visa got rejected last month.
I am 42,married with 4kids. I applied for visiting visa to see my sister nd her husband, they were the sponsors nd provided funds.
I didn't submit my bank , I only submitted my cac documents and said I make 5million naira annually.
But I was rejected on the grounds I didn't have enough funds.
I'm confused because since I'm not sponsoring myself for my entire stay, I don't know why they are concerned about my funds. Please I need advise on what to do next.
I cannot submit my bank details because my money is not consistent. Please I need advise from anyone that has experienced this and I have attached refusal letter below. Thanks

The UK does NOT issue green cards. That is an American document.

If you mean, the “indefinite leave to remain” aka ILR, it is 5 years after receiving your Spousal visa/Biometric Residence Permit and both you and your spouse should have been living and working in the UK and you must not have been absent for more than 90 days annually.

Your first spousal visa is issued for 2.5 years, then you need to seek renewal, then it’s reissued and at the end of the tenure, you can get the “ILR”.

Is there a different group for renewal of Spousal visa? If not can you please advise on what's needed for renewal. My 3yrs Spousal visa expires this year. Thanks.

Application forwarded to UKVI August 10, 2021
Email enquiries in September. Couple of telephone calls in October. Escalation in Oct 26 and I was told to wait 15 working days
Application transferred to VAC and received by VAC: 12th November 2021
port collected with visa 15th November 2021
Total days 69 working days

u can only get a new port when your port has expired OR about to expire in two months. I am not sure if they will agree to renew it.
The settlement visa is two and half years, but as far as the port is valid for six months, you can apply and when you get to the UK, u can renew it.

Still check if it is possible for you to renew. If it is possible better for you, than renewing in the UK with their stress

Goodmorning all. For someone who wants to apply for spousal but the port will expire nov next year. Should the person get a new port before applying or apply with this same port. Anyone has an idea on what should be done? I'm asking cause settlement visa should be fr 2yrs

I am here thinking I am the only one who has waited for a month since my Biometrics, no mails, no any info , I know it takes 12 weeks max but with what I read on this group some persons got decision few days after a month from the day of their biometrics , so I am thinking , what's happening sef. While filling my study visa I mistakenly filled 2014 instead of 2013 as the year of my son's birth ,my visa has since been granted now I am in the process of filling for my dependants and noticed the error. Pls how do I notify them that I made a mistake.
