Yup, it's sim unlocked but runs on a carrier version (T-mobile) which would take longer to release updates. It's just like getting a sprint S9 and unlocking it. Yeah you'll get network and all, but some would unbrand it. That's what I'm trying to say, installing the international version would clear your data.

Why don't you load the international version. Carrier locked models get way slower updates, that and install from local upgrade section. You'll lose your files tho

Lol. Carrier Locked? I have the US unlocked model. You don't lose files installing with the local upgrade option. That was how I upgraded to 9.5.4 immediately after i unboxed the device. This is my 6th OnePlus device.

i use the note 9. its a beast. but i like the notchless design of the 10models. so my only need for an upgrade would be the 5G and the notch.. have to move with the times .. and i heard about the screen on the oneplus 7pro is bad ass. Does it match samsung screens, and how abt the UI. the phone is huge i think about the same size as the s10 5G. i love hw big it is.

I'm yet to look at the screens of these two devices side by side. But i do like the 'contrast' i get from the OP 7 Pro. I'll put exactly same pictures on both of them and see. I expect the Samsung to be better, but only because... It's a Samsung. Lol

It was announced in the 4th quarter of 2018 by NCC the 5G would be rolled out in Nigeria by 2020 with band 24ghz, 36ghz & 48ghz. and MTN later came out to say that by the end of 2019 that all equipments needed would be fully installed and operational, and launched by 2020..

the Telecommunication Industry has become very competitive, alot of 4G providers. so by 2020, it would be a market rush. every1 wants to launch first.

I got my phone last night. It is slick! I have not really dug into it, been busy, so these are my first impressions.

For some reason, a lot of people wanted to see the pop-up camera first. I thought the 90hz display and the ability to keep so many apps in memory smashed it. The screen isn't as curved as I initially thought it'd be, so that's a good one. With the screen size, one hand control is needed. I wish the phone were a wee bit smaller in fact. I love the gesture controls, I never got to see it on the 1+5. The screen on time is good for such a super device, but it can be better.

There's an update available, OxygenOS 9.5.7. It promises to fix with the triple camera setup, ambient display and touch sensitivity. OnePlus is just great!

Lol. I'm glad you got your device and you like it. Yes I'm getting some ridiculous screen times even on 90Hz. Gestures take a while to get used to, until they force use to, i think I'll stick with traditional navigation. Lol.

I did install the 9.5.7 update immediately after I booted it up the first time. I had it ed and waiting even before the device arrived. I always do for all phones. So I can't speak about the device 'Pre 9.5.7'. However, Post 9.5.7 fantastic. My full review should be ready in a week or so. For now I'll be releasing other content

12gig ram on android is as useless as the p inside pneumonia,it’s just overkill.is it only me that find it hard to spend over 200k on a phone that isn’t apple or Samsung even if those phones are badass.

6GB RAM was 'Overkill' in the OnePlus 3 when it launched in 2016. Fast forward 3 years later, those that can't afford to upgrade their devices and paid only 400$ back in 2016 are now receiving Android 9 Pie officially. Do you know how much VALUE they have gotten out of those phones? And as it was 6GB then, 3 years later... Their phones are still relevant. I used to think towards Overkill before but right now, my phone has double the RAM of a phone i thought was Overkill only 3 years ago. Future-Proofing is what it's about.
