Governor Obaseki of Edo state has decided to probe staff of Edo Water Corporation over mismanagement of Government funds, resources and assets.

The Governor also declared that the pension benefit of all staff who retired in the last 6 to 7 years will be suspended and a probe set up for the staff to come and explain their role in the decay he met on ground.

Governor Obaseki made this known while on a visit to the dilapidated and seemingly abandoned office building of the board in Edo.

Very true. Its the same in many places even on the island. There is a part along Sanusi Fafunwa road on the island, where you cannot keep driving straight on the same road, and you must either make a left or right turn, yet no signs to let you know. There was a day I had almost driven straight but I sensed something was amiss.
As I tried to reverse, a police van parked about 300 meters away and waiting for me to drive into the road quickly sped and blocked my car.
That day I paid the officers some money. They said I was lucky it was not Lastma on duty and they claimed they were more merciful.
If you make the mistake of driving into these traps called one way, the hawks come out from hiding.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has come under heavy criticism for spraying money at residents of his states, while he was being driven in a convoy through a cheering crowd.

Bala Mohammed during the weekend caused a chaotic scene during his visit to Azare town where threw money at residents.

The Governor who was being hailed by the crowd stood up through the open roof of his SUV and sprayed naira at a happy crowd. This act is actually against the Nigerian law

Comedian Bovi has renovated the primary school he attended as a young boy.

He shared what led to the decision to spend money and time renovating the Government funded school.

Those who know me well know how I have always given credit to my primary school for what I have become. I consider my foundational path fortunate because I had the best teachers on my route from kindergarten to primary 5. They were so good that I all of them by name till this day.

It was a prestigious institution sitting on a hectare of land. That’s triple the size of many learning institutions today. It was a school with international standards that only a few private schools can boast of today.

So you can imagine my sadness when I visited the institution and saw the degenerative state of the facilities. I broke inside. Hence I spent the last three months painstakingly seeing to the renovation of the 20 classroom block, 2 staff rooms and 1 library. In this building, I spent my final years (primaries 4 and 5).
