One day you will build for me

I know that day will come to reality soon. The people who own this project has been wanting me to build for them since 2015. God will give you the means, and me the strength. Amen.

Pls do not diminish the role Brain Jotter played in making him a household name in Africa.

Priorto this intervention he was probably very popular within the Igbo speaking precincts. I never knew of him until recently.

He may have been a great folklore musician especially with his reliance on the Igbo language as the channel of his message but Brain Jotter through the Internet helped him break those primordial boundaries.

Honour to whom honour is due.....always.

I will be frank with you bro, brainjotter cannot make Mike Ejeagha popular by introducing him to the internet. Ejeagha's songs have been on steady on the internet by youths and children since when Nigerian music started to hit the internet. I have ed a lot of them from many online stores. Ejeagha has been a household name for over 4 decades.

I will say Brainjotter got more popular himself by promoting Mike Ejeagha song. I will give his some kudos to that, but accepting he made Mike Ejeagha more popular is diminishing the influence of Mike Ejeagha over the years. Like I said before. My dad bought and played Ejeagha songs, I bought and played most of Ejeagha songs, before later ing them after my discs kept scratching and jumping. I have the discs here to prove it. My children listen intently when I play those original versions and I am sure they will play th4m when they are of age to start recording songs themselves. Mike Ejeagha s9ngs will penetrate anyone easily, if you cool down to listen to it. He also has a couple of songs in English language.

Brainjotter tried, I also danced the gwo gwo gwo ngwo song but the original is irreplaceable for me.

We are planning to design a foundation type that will best suit this ground conditions. First, this land is very soft, with natural aquifers in many places, which is gushing up a lot of water even at this early stage of the rainy season. We plan a foundation type that will give us a wider footing on the column bases, deeper column bases, a thicker blinding strip and then a double ground beam of a least 450mm high on the top of the blinding.

This land has a history of water flowing on it in time past, and there is currently a stream channelled into a gutter at the back of the land, the stream is part of the water flowing on some parts of this land before. In the middle of the rainy season, this land will be flooded even if no work is going on there.

This foundation also has to be high, to give the occupants some rest of mind in the event of the water channel at the back being flooded, and water flowing into the compound.

well, i dont know what he saw to start building this one, but i think he should have just refurbished the presidential hotel. Oh, I forgot. The say it's easier to steal for new projects than continue existing ones. What do I know sef.

My brother, if you see the hotel presidential now, you will marvel. The governor has totally refurbished it in his first year in office. It's a completed house, being super furnished inside now. I think I have the pictures from last year somewhere here.

How to do a proper foundation for building a new house on a waterlogged land.

Home ownership, especially building a new one could be very exciting. Many people have bought lands to build their houses, but to their surprise, the lands they bought during a dry season that is looking dry and cool on the surface turns out to be a swamp, with so much water flow and settlement in the rainy season that some of them will seem impossible to construct your dream home. Sounds familiar right? Then settle down and review these few points about what you need to do to solve this problem, and still build your dream home.

1. First, conduct a survey on the land.

Stop fretting about the problem, get a diagnosis of the problem first. Call in a structural engineer to study the nature of the land. There are lands that have very low bearing capacities. A land that has a low bearing capacity is a land that will not the load of a heavy building without sinking, cracking, or collapsing completely. It is important to study the nature of the land with instruments made for the purpose, one of such equipment is called a Theodolite. The land should be studied extensively, with the type and size of the building planned for the land well considered.

2. Design the right foundation type.

After a careful examination of the land, and obtaining results from it, the next thing is to use the results of the land structural investigation to design a proper foundation type for the building. This will need a careful application of structural engineering, combining with an architectural design that will bring out the best of the planned building. I must sound a note of warning here, it's always better to conduct land surveys to understand the nature of a land before an architect will finally conclude the design the planned building. There are many types of foundation that could be chosen for a building, they include;

A. Raft foundation
B. Mat foundation
C. Pad foundation
D. Pile foundation

The type that will be chosen will depend on the nature of the land, and the desired building type.

3. Planning for the foundation

We all plan for the foundation of every building, but the type of planning you do for a waterlogged land is more intense. This is because you will be planning on how to work on water, most of the time. Working on water, especially natural swamps will expose the workers to a difficult terrain, where moving materials, equipment and workers could be more difficult. There could also be the added risk of meeting with some animals that live in such habitats. Examples include poisnous snakes, alligators or crocodiles, poisonous insects or mosquitoes.
Your plan will be on ways to mitigate against these identified problems of logistics, and added risk of marine dwelling animals.

4. Higher cost implications

By now, with these few points above, you should know that with these added problems, there must be the likelihood of a higher cost implication for the foundation, when compared to doing it on dry ground. On the average, it will cost about 40% more money to build a house foundation in a waterlogged land, compared to dry ground. There is also the possibility of using special kinds of building materials, like waterproof cement, and other materials.

Finally, its good to make sure you do it right with a foundation on a land that is waterlogged, because the cost of redoing a foundation could be much higher. It is also imperative that building professionals are involved in the planning and execution process of the foundation. For more information about this topic or others, us on 08033350750.

Thanks for the clarity you provide to all of us. Cant appreciate you enough.

Please what is the SQM of the land this beauty is going to stand on? Looks small to accomodate a 6 bedroom duplex.

Abeg carry us along with the current cost of building materials.

Thank you.

This land measures over 1,000 square metres. Thanks for the kind words bro, we will continue to do our best to satisfy more customers. Welcome.
