Thank you bullstriker.

I really appreciate your offer of help. I won't mind you helping me secure an ission.

How do we move forward from here please.

bullstriker:
1. Although Bsc is not required to get ission to an undergraduate program, you can use it. However, going for an undergraduate program after completing a degree could affect your chances of getting your study permit.
2. Because it makes it easier to apply to multiple colleges without going to their respective websites, I can help you secure ission to a school of your choice free of charge if you meet the requirement.
3. There is no fixed amount; it depends on the applicant's and sponsor's family size. You must show proof of funds for your living expenses and any accompanying family member.

Good day everyone here.

Gurus in the house, please I need help.

I am considering studying Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) in Canada. I have identified 3 schools already.

My questions:

1. Is it okay for me to use by B.Sc. certificate (Political Science) here in Nigeria to apply for another B.Sc. in Canada and what are the odds it would go smoothly

2. What really is the benefit of applying to the school through the provincial portal such as Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) instead of going directly through the school.

3. Aside for the ission application fee and the tuition fee, what is the average total cost of successful completion of all the process.

Your candid professional advise would be highly appreciated.

Thanks all!

Good day all.

A quick advise here.

My school just sent me an updated i-20 form with a new start date of 31st May 2022 instead of the previous start date of 1st June 2022 and also a change of school official to upon arrival.

My challenge now is that I have already submitted the details of the previous i-20 on my DS-160 form and the arrival date I stated earlier on the DS-160 form is now the new school start date on the new i-20 just issued.

For the sake of the interview, is it okay to stick to the previous i-20 form as my interview is in 4 days time. Or should I fill a new DS-160 form.

I am asking because I believe the interviewer at the embassy might want to confirm the start date with the school especially if the interview goes well visa is approved.

Your advise is needed here please

This article should be updated please. The King late of (Alaafin Adeyemi III) has ed his ancestor
tlanry:
A Lesson on humility to learn from the story of Bode Thomas...

Bode Thomas, yes, the same Bode Thomas, whom the Surulere street was named after, died on Nov 23, 1953 in a most mysterious manner.
Bode Thomas was born to a wealthy trader, John thomas in 1918. Himself, FRA Williams and Remi Fani-Kayode (Father of Femi Fani-Kayode) attended Law School in London, and they established the first law firm in Nigeria, called "Thomas, Williams and Kayode".The law firm was established in Jankara, Lagos.
Bode Thomas was an excellent lawyer, but he was also very arrogant. Because of his education, he was made chairman of the Oyo Divisional Council at one time, while the King of Oyo, Alaafin Adeyemi, (the father of the current Alaafin) was a mere member.
On Bode Thomas' first appearance in council after being appointed chairman, all council stood up for him in deference, to welcome him, except Oba Adeyemi, who, for cultural reasons, should not show deference to anyone in public, not even his mother.
Bode Thomas rudely shouted at the King"...WHY WERE YOU SITTING WHEN I WALKED IN? YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO SHOW RESPECT?"
At that time, Bode Thomas was 34 years, while the Alaafin was in his 60's. The Alaafin felt very insulted. He said "SE EMI LO NGBO MO BAUN?" (Is it me that you are barking at like that?)Bode Thomas responded by shouting some english sentences which the Alaafin didnt understand, so the Alaafin just told him... "MA GBO LO" (continue barking). The confrontation happened on November 22, 1953. Bode Thomas got home and started barking.
He barked and barked and barked like a dog all night until he died in the early morning of November 23, 1953.
Bode Thomas was the Balogun of Oyo. So, when next you drive on Bode Thomas street in Surulere, that man, who cut short his own life because of his arrogance and naughtiness.

@, kindly put dis post in the right section because i dont knw which section exactly it should be and i also recommend it as a front page material so that people will knw pride comes before destruction, that humility will take them to high places no matter what!!!

Urgent please. A friend of mine that was denied the same day as me mid January. Just this morning he was fortunate to see a new interview date for Tuesday which means he has just about 48hrs to attend the interview and his school resumes by May!

The big challenge/question that we need everyone’s advice on is. Can he still update a new ds-160 form today. Using the previous ds-160 won’t be a good advice. He was told a new ds-160 takes up to 3 days before it is update on the portal yet he has an interview date for Tuesday.

Your advice please everyone. Very urgent

You contradicted yourself with your travel history to Italy

Ezichi123:
As usual, I walked into the interview hall with the hope and believe that God will change my story the secondtime. I had my first US interview 3 years back on Visiting visa and this time around, I decided to go for F1. I applied for MBA at one private school in USA.
My one year estimation tuition and accommodation is $30,000 with $3000 scholarship from my school and my sponsoring bank statement of $34000.

Vo: good morning
Me : good morning

VO: Which school are you going to?
Me: University of ............

Vo: place your fingers for biometric
Me: Ok

Vo: Who is sponsoring you?
Me: My sponsor

VO: Where is the location of your company,?
Me:

VO: Have you been to Italy?
Me: No, Italy is where our company is ed.

VO: You have travelled to Singapore?
Me: Yes

VO: How long was your stay?
Me: 1 year and 7 months. I have also been to Italy, Sweden

VO: How long have you stayed in ?
Me: 5 months

VO: OK

VO: was typing uninterrupted...........
Me: Looking at him with confidence

VO: I AM SORRY TO REJECT YOUR VISA AT TIS TIME. HE ISSUED ME A WHITE PAPER.
ME: THanks and goodbye.

Please, who can advise me on why I was rejected my visa. I have travelled to 6 countries. I was only one that was denied Visa among the number of white people that came for visa.

I swear,

I can bet the settings contributed to my getting denied, I am a very private person and I like to keep my things private especially in my plans. In fact, sharing my transcript is simply because I am reading other peoples own and it feels unfair not to share mine that I shared it.

My imagination and expectation was completely different from what I met there and I was put off balance the moment I stepped into the hall and saw the formation. I could hear other people been interview especially one guy that was just mentioning million of naira his father and his uncle earns working with Dangote but ended up been denied cheesy cheesy. When my turn came, it was like the whole world was on me, as much as I wanted to keep my voice down, the lady insisted I spoke louder so I had no choice but to shout so everyone could here

Ijchichi5190:

Exactly what I was thinking the when I get to interview room. How can someone stand with somany people listening while the interviewer is not even close to you.Shebi all these in the name of Corona ish.

I really need to know how Lagos setting is,maybe I transfer to Lagos embassy.I really don't fancy that Abuja setting,it made me so nervous ehn.

Thanks everyone for your contributions for far. Got delayed last friday 14th

First attempt
Location: Abuja
Course: Masters International relations and affairs
VO: White lady seated in the last cubicle to the right.

VO: I see you are going to the New School for your Masters
Me: Yes, very correct

VO: Why are you studying international relations?
Me: To pursue my ambition and build up on my Bachelor's degree where I studied Political science in order to contribute in policy formation and to be an ambassador for my country

VO: What would you be do after your study?
Me; First I would be taking a higher role at my current work place as already assured by my director. He wrote my recommendation letter to the school

VO: Where do you work?
Me: XYZ company

VO: What do you do there?
Me: I described but not exact words with what I filled on my ds-160

VO: Who would be sponsoring you?
Me: My cousin would be my major sponsor while my dad would be ing

VO: What does he do?
Me: I forgot then began to stutter trying to . Before I could she moved on to the next question. At a point I said f**K and I think she heard

VO: Have you traveled out of the country before?
Me: No, I haven't had a reason to do so.

VO: Hands over blue paper. I no even bother myself because me self no say I Bleep up.

Truthfully I no say I really Bleep up.
Some lessons learnt although the settings of the environment was absorbed. I wasn't expecting to have my interview while standing with many people behind me listening to all I was saying. I initially imagined it to be behind closed door and seated like a proper interview. That idea of standing to talk to someone seated behind a glass still doesn't make sense to me.

Any which way, we move to try again latter, congratulations to everyone that received their visa at this time

Booking through their app means you will be paying with a dollar card.

I went to their office because I couldn't pay via the app as it was in USD. So when I called them, they said I should come to their office and pay; that was where I got to know about their student discount offer. They automatically give when they see your visa and age, so go with your port.

Wow! Thanks man. I would most likely book through the app, I just hope they would consider the student visa discount on the app

I used Turkish Air, and we had a stopover at Istanbul for 9 hours. On their app the cost was about 433k but I went to their office and I was given a student discount which was about 383k.
Note that the length of the stopover depends on where you're going. Some flights to other parts of US left earlier than mine.

Interesting,

2 key things to note here, Please kindly confirm if I am right.

First, you can either book online or book through their mobile app.
Second, you can walk up to them and get a discount as a student. (They give discount to students).

Can you share with us their office address please.

Thank you!!

Yes, it is. Just log on to the appointment portal and you will see the feature as part of the boxes on the right side or directly occupying most of the screen. I changed mine (from VI to Isolo) after scheduling my Abuja appointment.

Why do you want to change though? You feel it's faster getting one's port that way esp if one is interviewing in Abuja?

Yes, I feel it would be faster staying back to pick the port in Abuja. Perhaps it would save me one or two days of waiting for it in Lagos.

I don’t know if my assumption is right

Hello All,

I am in a little bit of fix. My questions are in two parts.
I was delayed in Lagos on 20th of December by one elderly black woman after she asked my age (Over 30) and marital status (Single) as the last questions before handing me the blue paper. I applied to a college for a course relating to my current profession but I have a BSc degree in a non related course. What do you think I am doing wrong?
Also, I have since filled another DS160, booked appointment in Lagos but my EA was rejected. I filled a second DS160, pick Abuja, hoping to get EA there but my problem is that I can't seem to find how to change my appointment to Abuja. Do i need to cancel and reschedule?
My resumption date is 4th of January.

Yes you need to cancel. Update your Ds 160 ID in your profile then in again

Thank you sir. Again, My Status is reading "Awaiting materials" even tho I have completed all apps. Is that normal?

Depends on the school’s swiftness to action. Could be that they are on holiday. Sometimes you may need to wait for a few days for it to reflect otherwise you send a query mail to them.

Confirm your materials checklist to see what material they are still expecting. Often time, until they receive your official transcript from your previous school your material checklist may not be complete even after getting the ission

You are correct, but I wrote to the school and they agreed for an extension till 24th of January

24th January is too soon. They should be able to extend for at least 2 weeks. I got 3 weeks extension to February.

You will still need up to 2 weeks for port recollection and flight booking from the day of interview p

For several weeks now,Ive payed my Agent service fee which he said he has payed and the receipt is yet to drop(as he says) pls could this be true? He said it takes over 4wks at times for the receipt to be issued out after payment. Could this really be true?

Not true… Servis payment receipt does not take so long. Depending on how your pay, I paid through mailing check and I got my receipt that same day. Even if there would be any delay whatsoever for whatever reason, it shouldn’t exceed two weeks

Hello peeps! Does anyone know how the whole international port thing goes these days? Express. Apparently, my port expires December, 2022 before my program end date. Since it is stated that one must have a valid port throughout their program duration, I guess I have to renew my port right away.

That’s not true, December 2022 is still fine. So long it’s still valid at least 6 months into your arrival you are good. By law, you cannot renew your port is in its final 6 months except you want to pay more

Yes. No new payment with the previous date
