tivta: Could this be the same jet I saw on friday flying around the airport aimlessly? The colour is grey with a star on its tail, I swear when I saw this plane flying aimlessly for close to 30mins I was dead scared. Someone should pls list out the possible damage this plane can cause so that we all can be prepared to say our last prayer or run. This is not serious anymore it is deadly. If it means Johnathan should step down for peace to rain pls let him do so, he is playing politics with peoples lives oh. Am dead scared right now.

bushdoc9919: [size=28pt]Once again, Nigerians show how little they know.

No one is critiquing the builders/contractors.No one is asking why the regulatory agencies failed to stop the construction of the unauthorized building. No one is asking why we have so few master technicians/masons/artisans.No one is asking why the Church did not hire the right kind of people...or why they illegally converted two to six story.

Instead we are talking about strange plane.

What does plane have to do with building collapsing?

Why can't we blame ourselves instead of blaming spirits/demons/enemies.etc.....

Why are Nigerians so unserious.?

Nigerians....blame thyself.

Until we stop becoming a lawless people.....and become a nation of laws and standards....more buildings will fall down.

"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves

ZACHIE: This is misinforming.
The etymologies of the specific words you listed up there are not exclusive, rather borderline assumptions.
Okra,Juju,Tango, etc have much wider spread and use than Nugeria.
The only genuine addition to English language in that list is a Yoruba word: DASHIKI which describes a traditional clothing item.
There are indeed several other words absolved into English emanating from Nigeria b7t certainly not the ones captured by the op in that they are not exclusive.
SUSU is exclusive in area catchment, meaning and application.
I will update this later.

maestroferddi: "Insultive" used by many people is actually wrong English.

The correct word should be "insulting".

I hope you don't mind being corrected...

EddyNumerouno: ok, your story has too many holes
1.oil splashed on a hot rim will produce smoke, making you to be alarmed.
2. what were you doing when you had two tires and hubs loosened? (and i'll also assume the tires were smoking due to the oil, so you had smoking tires and didnt bother to check what was they were doing shocked shocked shocked shocked)
3.thank God for atms, how many people travel with 113,000 naira lying around the car? (plausible, so i'll let this one slide)
4. i'll assume your car transformed into a 2014 model car in the workshop (the only way to explain the astrometrical rise in price of spare parts (the point of this scam is to make you pay for parts gotten from another poor chap and yours will be sold likewise...so i'll assume the parts werent brand new)

this your story get as e be, therefore; story for the Gods Q.E.D

I have experienced the same thing... but in my own case I part ways with 2 dollars grin ... They thought it was worth more than 50 grand... lol

olrotimi: Its been ages since i last went to the banking hall, however i had to visit the bank to renew my ATM card. On getting there i noticed the porter putting a device to customers' head.before they enter the banking hall. When it got to my turn, the following conversation ensued:

Porter: Goodmorning Sir, welcome to XYZ bank.....

Me: Thankyou.

Porter: Sir let me check your BP [pointing device to my head]

Me: [curiously wandering what business banks have with BP
[device beeps]

Porter: See[showing me device reading] your BP is normal, 36.7

In my mind am like 'oh! loool,in their mind these guys are taking 'precautionary measures' to fish out those with ebola cos its widely d that fever is a key feature of ebola.

Interesting enough, there was a suspected case of ebola with classical presentation on monday at the Teaching Hosp of which i was the casualty officer who saw the patient & funny enough the patient died shortly after presenting(sample sent to lagos came out yesterday to be negative).

The info obviously got to town prompting the bank to begin temp check.
So am beginning to ask myself, does it mean an ill patient(maybe with malaria) cannot transact in the bank again? Arent we taking this ebola thngy a little bit too far?

Whatever you mean by orangutan you silly mice.

Yes whatever I do, I do it from the source . It is not over sabi but being in control of your actions to yield you expected results. Now where on earth did David get $250m ? Even the top ten richest Nigerian artists may not add up to $250..

How will a mule tell me that an 8 sweater jet costs $45m dollars ? An 8 Sweater jet isn't more than a Lear jet. Use your Google. A Gulfstream is a mid sized jet owned by Dangote and cannot have only 8 Seats unless it is purposely designed to be seatless.

If I ask you to convert that amount now, you will take like 5 years to do that..[/quote

What is this one saying. Ewu
