Nanorest: @Nanorest @justwise is not below per , he is active , intelligent in his portfolio and kinda hard working because i have learnt few things from his posts and materials years back when i was handling a travel agency office...But i agree with you that the poll should be thrown to the public by voting . People should be truthful and honest with @justwise . His decision is sometime aggressive and i think there are some favourites of him like:. @Debieeeeee, @BigIyanga, @NUALUESA, @essl etc who kind of dictate to him who and who to ban. I will put myself as one of @justwise communication enemies (not human enemy ooo..we re all Nigerians 😊) but HE DESERVE THIS ACCOLADE AND NOMINATION. @justwise let God be guiding you in judgement not human , and leaders are extremely tolerant . God Bless Nigeria . 2 Likes |

Pharaoh001: @Pharaoh001 The agents you avoided are still going to be the one that will rescue your situation because if you continue with this application, then your US Employment- visa might ended up in the red sea like King Pharaoh's chariots 😀 1. Be very careful and let people if your US employment letter is genuine or not , otherwise, you might be playing lawn tennis with online- fraudsters . 2. The class of visa you applied for according to your CGI portal only allows you to stay in the US for 29 days and you must leave the United States within that timeframe. *** Do you think that the embassy will grant u work-visa based on such timeframe ? 3. If i see your invitation letter i can if it's genuine or not , or probably you are the one who have chosen the wrong visa category. US have varieties of work-visa types (which can be confusing ) like ; H-1B, H-1C, H-2A, H-2B, H-3 etc. **** The EB-3 visas are available to those holding a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, as well as skilled and unskilled laborers who have a non-temporary offer of employment from a U.S. employer. (Yours is temporary offer according to your CGI portal). 4. For your current Appointment situation , THE ONLY SOLUTION for you is to go and pay another MRV but don't pay it yet . Allow people or research very well if your US employment letter is genuine and most especially what kind of visa category you should apply to. 5. If your visa category still falls under same C1 visa please don't apply , the embassy won't grant you work-visa based on such very short period except if you have been going to and fro (into the US) before with special skills . I would rather if your employer is genuine they invite you first and you apply for B1/B2. God Bless Nigeria . 2 Likes |

Nzealibaba: @Nzealibaba I don't know the reason why you want to rent an apartment as a prospective International student before obtaining your F1 visa . The few international students i know who have already landed in the US and needed to rent an apartment even had to show their student IDs or Form I 20s to landlords in their states before they can get an apartment not to talk of you that is still in Nigeria . How will a Host-College or University in the US ask you to bring a rent/lease agreement when you are still in your country in order to reduce your POF in your Form I 20 ? Bank letter/ financial verification or scholarship award letter is all i know they have been asking prior to the issuance of Form I 20. If your question is genuine , then your school's int- students office . God Bless Nigeria. 1 Like |

MrSoftlife: @MrSoftlife I know you 're not a real African woman otherwise you would not have quickly disclosed your age just like that 🙄. I am replying you because of your last sentence and snob those CABALS who claimed to have US visas and lived or living in America , yet they did not know the moral rules 😃 Read below what one American lady put online """" I am 37 , and i have had men (especially older men) making disparaging comment after finding out my age. Men young and old sometimes treats me entirely different after i state my age . I can see that my value instantly dropped in their eyes . 1. Unless you re the person's Doctor, Lawyer , ant or relevant government official , or an employee of a store selling alcohol or tobacco (as mandated in the western world) then age is considered a personal information which is none of your business . 2. Another point which makes people (especially women) hesitates to give out real age , even in relationship is that majority of them would be unhappy about the consequence or after effect of their disclosure 3. For example , you as a 40 year old lady should be using" sir" for me because my immediate younger brother is even more than 5 yrs older than you 😊. You gave me the opportunity to write this because you just told me your real age . 4. If that Op mistakenly do anything wrong on Nairaland , you will soon see people uttering phrases like " Get out ! You this ordinary 21 year old boy . I will usually say , can you tell us your age ranges ? Even many social media like Facebook , Instagram , Google etc give revealing of age as Optional . And the Op problem is not about age . God Bless Nigeria . |

MrSoftlife: @MrsSoftlife, I will answer your question (especially seeing that you re a female ) , but please be honest to all Nairalanders by answering this question . How old are you ? God Bless Nigeria . |

SammySuave: @SammySuave. Don't give out your real age out in the public next time , you can just say am between 20 to 25, men will be men 😊 Now , that VO approved someone before you does not mean automatic approval for you because the VO is not sharing biscuit. 1. Your Answer to the 1st question " Why re you going to the US ? is too common and become an old school karaoke amongst Nigeria F1 visa applicants , so you failed that question . 2. You have answered the 2nd question ' Who will be sponsoring you (my dad ,period..you should have stopped there.) in your first phrase, but after that you continued talking until you talked yourself into problem which the consular officer thinks you have rehearsed or memorized . 3. Your 3rd answer to your study plans after graduation is also the new common song which majority of F1 visa hopefuls sings to the ears of the VO and your own version of the song did not even rhyme to your present situation . YOUR 2ND INTERVIEW =================== .1. You repeated your 1st errors in your 2nd interview but the most funny part is your answer to Why BYU ? Me: I chose Brigham young university Idaho for three main reasons, to begin BYU Idaho is owned and operated by the church of Jesus Christ which I am a member of 2. As interesting to know that United States is a religious country like Nigeria , yet they do not like anything religious attachment , therefore your answer to Why BYU is knocked out . My friend you have lot of home assignments to do . Your situation combination is the problem as well as how to express yourself to the interview officer . God Bless Nigeria . |

esdajo: @esdajo Alright it seems you know what you 're doing . Its worth giving a try so go ahead and apply but prepare some of your explanations here in your DS 160 and your questions and answers (mock) training . Put emphasis on your established businesses (that ties you to MBA) . Meanwhile , I did not say you must write the GRE but if you have time and the resources it's a plus if you write it. God Bless Nigeria . |

knostbrown01: @knostbrown01 There is a choice in rotten apples , and your choice is PhD because you did not do well in scholarship ratings of both schools. PhD has more reputation above MSc and especially if you are an outstanding student . If you can proof your family financial capability then why not ? Go for PhD . God Bless Nigeria . 1 Like |

esdajo: @esdajo. Not having a GRE score would not have any negative effect on your visa interview outcome , but not having a good excuse (in the case the VO ask why did you not write GRE) or reason for not writing it might have a bad effect on your interview score. 1. You have an LL.M from an European country and you plan to apply for MBA in the US later in the year , are you presently using your LL.M to work as a business manager ? Because you must explain to the VO why going for MBA from law ? Or you want to apply for MBA because the enrollment process is kinda easy and flexible ? 2. You have B1/B2 visa before but you were denied when you wanted to renew ? This looks like you have abused the B1/B2 somehow via over-staying or any other way . 3. You have been to UK thrice , and you presently have a Canada visitors visa and you intend to apply for MBA towards the end of this year . 4. I don't work in the embassy but to me this looks like an old-trick of travel history or visa histories which does not beat the US embassy anymore. The VO will see your previous B1/B2 visa denial as number one bad omen, the number 2 bad omen is that you did not keep to your B1/B2 instead you have changed to F1 which is even not related to your law career . Your visa chance is 35/100% but God can do wonder ooo. God Bless Nigeria . 1 Like |

EarlMembo7: @EarlMembo7 You 're welcome. Apply for your emergency appointment via your CGI portal. Merge your MRV visa fee payment receipt and your invitation letter to a pdf and attach it when sending the email and pray that they approve it for you. Mind you , the content of your invitation letter will determine the decision of your emergency Appointment approval. 1. US embassy worldwide used the opportunity of the Covid 19 pandemic to reduce the work-load of their staffs , and to increase the inflo and outflo security of people 2 . Nobody can abuse the emergency application because you can only apply for it once , and you are not the one to determine the outcome. Why they subject everybody to emergency Appointment process is to give audience to people who are going to America with genuine and very important activities and to reduce the large numbers of applicants trooping to the embassies everyday. 3. America is bigger than Nigeria almost 11 (eleven) times , so they are still looking for genuine people but they did not have enough work force or staffs to attend to visa demands . Go ahead and apply for your emergency Appointment. God Bless Nigeria . 2 Likes |

phemorhino: @phemorhino Your redress is acceptable but in the op case , i will still stick to " my employer is my sponsor . Reason is that there must be an agreement -bond betw i and my employer which is a very good ties for me to return back to Nigeria . Another point is that , my employer as a company or an organisation have more than enough funds than i or my family , therefore the VO will not even doubt my employer's financial capability . 1. Now to answer your question , i would tell the VO thus :. My employer is sponsoring me because within the space of my 2 years working with the organisation , i have been able to cover more than 75% of my targets , hence their decision to send me abroad in order to widen my international experience in my department because we 're expanding our branches across Africa in the next 3 years. God Bless Nigeria . |

Debbieeeeeee: @Debieeee I don't even know what you are writing here . But you especially will die of hypertension the day Nairaland is taken over by new impartial staffs . That day is on the horse- back galloping towards you 😀 God Bless Nigeria . |

justwise: @Justwise . Kindly remind me where I have been rude or insulted someone who has corrected or disputed my response politely here. Your people are the ones who will start their sentences with " have you even travel to the US b4? What kind of misinformation is this ? @Justwise go ahead and take this out . It will justify my claim , but you cannot retain your position on Nairaland for ever . Caution your people . God Bless Nigeria . |

fkj950ax: @fkj950ax Sir, i challenge you to proof me wrong openly here . Every individuals going to the US on B1/B2 since the year 2023 till now and up to the next 3 years must apply for emergency appointment if you want to meet your desired travel time . You were the one who muddied the waters for him. You 1st rendered his invitation letter useless as if you works in the embassy. You also did not answer the op original question. Your answer is too bossy . Did you answer his other questions ? Your first answer is to render his invitation letter useless ..ok. what about the other questions he asked ? Prinxly: @prinxly . Your post entail some honesty because at the end of your essay you pointed out the truth which is what i won't advice any Nigerians to go and renew F1 visa in a 3rd country except in an extreme case , like sickness , illness , lack of money to travel home , etc. In your post, you said this ; Although the chances of a renewal are high and the Consular Officers appear nice (definitely way nicer than in Nigeria), - The consular officers in Nigeria are as well nicer . The consular officers in Nigeria 're not bad . What happens is that the consular officer in Mexico or Canada did not press you harder or were lenient to you because you have gotten your F1 visa already from Nigeria where the game is tough . Number 2. You also wrote this ; this is still an interview so be prepared. If your visa is unfortunately not approved, you can’t’ come back to the US. God bless you @Prinxly for clarifying that aspect which is my fear . If anyone goes to Mexico or Canada to renew F1 and the visa kind of not approved as a result of any mistake , that individual will have to take available flight back to Nigeria because he or she won't be able to travel back to the US. Another blow is that for that person to now come to Nigeria and reapply would be a very difficult task because you will explain to Nigeria VO why you opted for Canada or Mexico in the 1st place . They thinks it's automatic , like okay am coming from USA to Mexico , therefore take my port and give me another visa . No. It doesn't work like that. God Bless Nigeria . |

justwise: @justwise Tell @debieeeee , @naijalarry ,@NUELUSA etc to stop mentioning you when they are attacking individuals . All the ones they called you out for has resulted in you blocking the s of those individuals . We did not hear from @newboykashoggi , @arinzeaminuboys, @bagofsweets etc again because you have blocked their s. Now they are calling me NewBoyKashoggi . If you re part of the s or Nairaland staffs so to say , i give respect to you but caution those aforementioned people to stop being aggressive towards any new comments. They will implicate u. Tell them to stop calling you out for aggressive action. God Bless Nigeria . |

EarlMembo7: @EarlMembo7. If you have access to your previous profile use it of course . And your invitation letter is not useless , okay ? You need that invitation letter to along with your MRV payment receipt before you can be granted an emergency Appointment. That aside , anyone going for a conference , wedding , visiting , burial and graduation ceremonies must have an invitation letter. The US visa officer may not ask for it that does not mean that it is not compulsory. The only set of people who does not need an invitation letter are those going for tourism . God Bless Nigeria . 1 Like 1 Share |

nigerianart: @nigerianart. Same thing applies to lots of people on Student Visa and B1/B2 section on Nairaland . @justwise is too bias and kindly draw the attention of @ Mr Seun to it. They have turned Nairaland into a family reunion . Nigerians should go to Student visa section right now and see how they are bashing and calling me names all because gave an opinion which i know is 100% certain. God Bless Nigeria . 1 Like |

Seun: @ Mr Seun Osewa. !! With due respect , may God continue to give you wisdom and understanding. I want to bring it to your notice and to the awareness of Nigerians that @justwise on US student / tourist visa sections has turned into a dictator . There are set of individuals like @Naijalarry @Debieeeeeee, @JohnZaK, @NUELUSA2023, @wel99 etc . The above people usually attack anyone that contribute opinions on Nairaland and before you know it @justwise will freeze the of such person. As i am typing , i may not be able to reply or again immediately @justwise reads this message . They are advising Nigerians to go and renew F1 student visa in Mexico and i said it's permissible but it's a risky opinion . That is my sin oooo. Pls go to student visa section and read their bashings before @justwise delete it. God Bless Nigeria . 2 Likes |

Debbieeeeeee: @Debieeeee Why is it that anyone that answers question is now NewBoyKashoggi ? I have being following all your antics and bashing of @newboykashoggi , bagof sweets etc. all of you cannot be on Nairaland for life your time is actually tickling. Imagine , like 5 people bashing me @ago all because i wrote the truth. @JonhZak, @naijalarry, @debieeee @justwise . Nigerians are watching you. You have turned Nairaland into a family reunion. All your answers here are tailored towards your advantages and none of you have any US visas. Nigerians should beware . Many many applicants you guys advice still came back as failures. God Bless Nigerians . |

welf99: @wel99 . I have expired F1 visa i used for cabrillo college then. I currently have a 5 year B1/B2 so that knocks off your believe that it's only those who have been to the US that has brain to research. A Nigerian who got F1 visa from Abuja or Lagos and wants to renew in Canada or Mexico is permissible but such applicant is now a 3rd citizen. The VO will even wonder why coming here ? Why not your country ? If he or she got a denial i tell you go and ask, such student won't be able to go back to the US from Mexico or Canada except thru illegal avenue. What you are trying to promote is called ' Consular Shopping ( leaving your home country where you got visa ) which the US embassies frown at. US visa officers all over the world under went same training and seminars .the result u will get in India is what you will 95% get in Ghana embassy. God Bless Nigeria . |

MizAlero: @MizAlero. Go and renew your visa in Nigeria because that's the rules of the visa , go back to the issuing country. If you go to Canada or Mexico and your F1 visa is denied you won't be able to go back to the US because the remaining visa in your port will be invalidated.you will be going back to Nigeria from Mexico or Canada . God bless Nigeria . |

Bolanle245: @Bolanle . 1). Many factors contributed to your F1 rejection eg , you 're going on a F1 study with your family and with funding that is not up to a quarter which leaves u with approximately %40, 000 deficit and u think VO will accept that logic of family sponsor ? 2). VO does not always ask where have u been to ? The question should have been , Have u travel out of your country b4 ? She asked u because she saw your consistent travels to uae which looks like a deceit to claim travel history to the VO. 3). The response you gave to the question ' why GCU is your home goal like u scored inside your own net giving opponent the edge and the twin questions that trows u off balance are ' Is this for promotion ? & Do you have a student permit to this effect ? 4. In your situation your best sponsor is your employer . God bless Nigerians . 2 Likes |
