You have nothing to loose if u play by the rules.
what's the point daring your Government when after making noise, you won't do anything if a lock down is imposed or you enjoyed the last lock down? I didn't.
let's say Covid-19 in Nigeria is fake as many people believe. many of us(including me) don't trust those in power agreed.
but don't you think that those in power can deliberately be giving high numbers because nigerians are deliberately refusing to play by the rules?
what's so difficult in wearing a nose mask?
sometimes we keep giving the Government an opportunity to punish us.
IBEG I NO WANT ANOTHER LICK DOWN. WE IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS HAVE BEEN AT HOME SINCE FEBRUARY HABA NA
it's up to the ptf and state governments .

Please be careful how you comment on health matters you are not sure about.
Some covid-19 patients do not need serious intervention. Their symptoms may remain mild while in treatment centre. They are ed until they return negative results. If not kept in care centre, they might go about spreading the disease.
But as cases increase, there might be only space for those with serious symptoms and those no symptoms or only mild ones (though infectious) may be turned away. Such people may see your comment above and be swayed that there is no covid-19 after all. They may go about and God forbid, spread it to you, your loved ones or friends. It's that serious.
Vaccines don't cure infections. They prevent in two ways mostly: to ensure the pathogen is eaten up upon entering the body so it cannot grow or replicate enough to cause infection or even if it does cause infection, it will be mild and the body can later overcome it.
In covid-19 vaccination, we cannot be sure yet if everyone or some vaccinated does not get infected at all or if they do get infected if their viral load goes high enough to the point they can still be infectious. Also if it's same for all the variants known so far.
These can only be confirmed in the months ahead when many enough people have received their two doses.
you just spoke some foreign language to that person

As a 300L MBBS student wrote his first python code at 15, I can say I can relate to your friend's dilemma
I'll say I have more joy coding than I have reading up origin and insertion and each time I tried to learn to code in the past 3 years, I'd quit in a week to focus on my books.
Med school is draining and gives no time to pour into something as tasking as programming.
Your friend comes off as someone who is chasing the money and good life, and that's a perfect reason to do whatever he chooses, so my advice would be based on that.
On the cash aspect, I'm gonna be plain, programmers are ballers, easily with just one year training they can be earning upwards of 300k.
But there's increase competition as time goes by and at some point in the near future it'll be saturated and simple economics should tell you what happens then. The entry point is low, anybody smart can pick it up. He'll have to compete. Although he's smart, competition can easily make his ability be hidden among the many rubbish and fakers that will be there.
Medicine though, the entry point is very high, not everyone can enter med school let alone come out a doctor. 50 years from now, there will still be a shortage of doctors everywhere in world. During the pandemic, countries were opening embassies begging for doctors that other countries refused to give out. That quality and want isn't gonna fade. Medicine is the surest thing there is.
Also, a 60 years old doctor is literally a god to be worshipped because of his experience.. a 60 years old programmer can't keep up with the latest flavour of JavaScript, new frameworks spring up and die all the time. At some point they settle and become obselete.
Finally, as at March I was preparing for my MB with only a little knowledge of python and Java (I couldn't even build a proper Android app at this time), now, 9 months later, I'm a full stack web developer, and very good in Flutter (4 apps and counting).
In a couple months I'm still gonna write and probably my MB.
I'm saying, it's possible to run both together, my coursemate started programming in year 1 and he's a guru now, maintaining okay grades still.
***( I worked as hard as I did with my medical books though, coding all day long... Make I no make am like say programming easy )
If he really wants both then he'll have to work a whole lot harder and be average at both, as there's no way anyone can be very good at both.
But if he's after the money and balling, I'll advise he quit and focus on programming, in 6 months of steady learning he should be cashing out. Probably mount a mansion while I'm still doing housemanship
Good luck to your friend, wishing him the best in the MB, if he chooses to stay
#Damn, it wasn't suppose to be this long... Lol
wow you've been at this for 5 years. How did you start bro? Self tutor or how? I wish I was dedicated this year with the amount of time we got .

Nigeriadondie: This issue isn’t lockdown but what plans do they have to sustain people.
African leaders are animals. Why can’t we come up with African solutions to African problems.
Lockdowns are for developed countries with well developed plans to cater for the welfare of its people.
The economies of many African countries were in bad shape before lockdown how much more now. If the economies of many developed countries were badly shaken how much more African countries
not just that, when people are going to comply and it getting enforced without hitches.

Covid-19 in NIgeria is a capital scam.
Have you seen covid-19 in Europe and the Americas? Have you been to the various Sabos in NIgeria? Why is it is that when there is increase in Europe there is miraculous increase in NIgeria? Mind you, every person coming in or going out of NIgeria are tested and sometimes quarantined.
My room mate that did medical biochemistry in school told me how his prof. bursted the SCAMdemic figures in Lagos. He took a person there. They made the person to undergo compulsory Covid-19 test. It came out positive. But the things written on the test papers were professional jargons. He demanded to see their leader. They shut him down because they never knew who he was. He later saw the person. And it turns out to be one of his friends. The discussion ended with "order from above. "
If there is anything that needs emergency attention in NIgeria is malaria. It kills 20x daily than what covid-19 is PURPORTED to be killing. We "roll back" malaria every year on paper. People cash out on that. Just as people are cashing out on Covid-19. Malaria kill an average of 300, 000 people in Nigeria yearly and over 100m are infected every year.
Have you asked yourself that a country with almost zero health technology is having about 1000 death in about one year from covid-19 and countries with superior health sectors are having 100s of thousands of deaths? What do we give our patients that within one month that Europe recorded reduction, almost every covid-19 patients in Nigeria were discharged? And now that their figures are increasing, ours are jumping up again. Tell me anybody that died of covid-19 here with prior health complications. Every flu and fever now would become covid-19 to boost a fictitious figure.
ptf probably thinks they're doing something .

i mean kogi state isn't testing and there hasn't been consequences to that. Unless stakeholders of health just decided to lock up .
