According to a report, the Kogi State Police Command has arrested 52 political thugs, who were accused of electoral offense during the recent election.

The report was made public by the Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, Hakeem Busari, who disclosed that the political thugs were arrested through the strategies put in place during the election with the directives of the Inspector General of Police IGP, Mohammed Adamu.

Former Nigerian Min. for Aviation and Legal Practitioner, Femi Fani Kayode, have made fresh allegations against the country’s electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

Femi Fani Kayode in a statement condemned the decision of the electoral commission to declare states where the Peoples Democratic Party PDP was cruising to victory in the March 9 Governorship and State Assembly election as inconclusive.

INEC to present certificate of return to -elect of the National Assembly on Thursday and other reports
A new statement released by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has made it known that certificate of return will be presented to -elect of the National Assembly on Thursday, 14th of March, 2019.

According to INEC, the presentation of certificates will take place at Africa Hall, International Conference Center ICC, Abuja.

From the statement released by the electoral commission, the Presentation of awards will be done separately to the two houses in the National Assembly.

Presentation of certificate for senators-elect into the Senate will take place by 10 am while that of -elect of the House of Representatives will take place by 2 pm.
