I appreciate your estimates, however, I believe the grocery budget may require some revision. It seems unlikely that a family of five would spend CAD 1,800 per month on groceries. I suggest a maximum budget of CAD 500, although even that amount may be considered generous. Predator188: |

"POF is not an issue" as in you have evidence to demonstrate your ability to pay for the program, or do you actually have the necessary funds? If you genuinely have the funds, why not proceed and pay for at least the first year upfront to enhance your chances of application approval? As a word of caution, please ensure you thoroughly understand the refund policy of the institution you intend to study at. , study permit applications are not solely determined by POF or the amount an applicant possesses. kasie1: 1 Like |

Tomoarika: I think you should state it and back it up with a strong SOP. I personally know of one that hadn't finished his MBA when he was submitting his application. He declared the in-progress MBA in his application, backed it up with some strong SOP, and eventually got his SP approved....to the glory of God. 1 Like |

Heffalump: While I do not have the details of your wife's study permit, your 10yrs old will still be able to attend school regardless of if he/she goes on visitor record or study permit. My own opinion will be for you three to apply for visitor record. 1 Like |

National Bureau of Statistics recently annouced Nigeria's unemployment rate to be 4.1% in Q1 2023 ( from a previous thread). Nigeria's labour force currently stands at 73million, which means about 3 million employable people are out of jobs. This translates to 1 out of every 24 employable persons is without a job. Do you think this new rate is accurate by simply surveying your immediate environment? |

The economy is not looking good for most Nigerians right now. So I was just thinking, what if the Federal Government, or whatever authority that has the power, allows pensioners, both active and retired, a one time 25% unconditional withdrawal of their pension contribution balance as at today? This will help many families meet their immediate needs. Is there any palliative that could be better than this? After all, it's been the contributors' money over the years. On the flip side, and this is to our economists, will there be any serious negative impacts on the economy should people have general access to this fund? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Could a recent traveller please help with the list of items, foods especially, that are allowed onto the flights and into Canada. I'll particularly like to know how these items were packed and presented. Wakanow was telling me I'll require PCR test if I'd be flying on KLM. Is the same with other airlines? Which airlines don't require the test? Thank you |
