nairalanda1: **"My dear, Warning your citizens is never enough. As a financial watchdog, it is your duty not just to inform, but to act decisively and prevent fraud before it happens. Scammers like these would never thrive in the Western world because regulatory bodies there take their roles seriously and act swiftly. How can you identify looming danger and instead of deploying every tool at your disposal to stop it, your response is to merely issue warnings? Who does that? Let’s be honest—both the EFCC and the SEC have failed Nigerians. They must be overhauled and staffed with competent individuals who understand their responsibilities and are committed to protecting the financial integrity of this country."** |

apprentist: Bros, even before reading your message, I could already tell—it’s the lack of sex that’s disturbing your peace. But let me be honest with you: you're not being a ive husband at all. Marriage is about checks and balances. It's not always smooth, but it’s the commitment that makes it worthwhile. Let me tell you a bit about my own situation. I got married in 2016, and today we have three beautiful children—two girls and a boy. My wife is currently in Ontario, Canada, pursuing her postgraduate studies. Meanwhile, I'm here in Nigeria, holding things down—working full-time in the telecoms industry and taking care of the kids. And no, I’m not jobless or struggling financially—I earn a decent salary. But more importantly, I’m grounded in my faith. I’ve never cheated on my wife, and I don’t plan to, not today, not tomorrow. I believe deeply in family, and I don’t see the sacrifices I’m making as suffering. I see them as investments—ones that I believe will yield fruit in due time. So my brother, relax. Take a chill pill and embrace this phase in your marriage. It’s just a season, and like all seasons, it will . And when it does, you'll look back and thank yourself—and maybe even thank me—for staying strong. 2 Likes |

This is exactly why my heart aches every time I see the EFCC rushing to return scammed money to foreigners and plastering it all over social media, just to impress international bodies and beg for validation. But now, their own people have pulled off one of the biggest scams ever — and it’s Nigeria that’s on the receiving end. Will Interpol or the CIA return that money to us? Will they parade it online like we do? Deep down, we all know the answer — they won’t. It hurts. Because it feels like our own are too quick to shame Nigeria just to score points abroad, while the world never gives us the same energy in return. EFCC, stop making a spectacle out of our nation. Stop feeding the narrative that we are the villains of the world. Nigeria is greater than that. |

Seadogfellow: "According to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) remains a proscribed terrorist organization until such status is legally overturned. Therefore, for a sitting governor to adopt or align with a proscribed group as a basis for forming a security outfit is not only cantankerous but also a direct affront to national unity and the rule of law." |
