It's just day four of the ongoing 5th edition of unarguably the most watched reality TV show in Africa- BBNaija- and as usual it's generating so much attention- love, drags, s, canvass etc.

On the night of the unveiling of the "BBNaija Lockdown" tagged show, 20 housemates were unveiled by the organizer and as expected reactions trailed the unveiling. Followers took to various social media channels to express their minds as regards the backgrounds, looks etc of the various housemates.

One of the housemates that generated so much attention is a 26yrs old rapper, Olamilekan Agbeleshe. Laycon, as popularly called is a graduate of philosophy from University of Lagos. He was hastily attacked on the basis of his look and mode of dressing to the unveiling.

However, barely 24hrs into the show, he's proven to be a true definition of "Do not judge a book by its cover." In no time lots of people were left with no option than to revoke their blasphemous words and rally round him. The way he regularly tackles sensitive questions, his majestic command of words, intelligence, smartness and many untold factors were reasons they all changed their minds. Infact his group of fans known as "iCONS" have dubbed him "Laycon Our Aristotle".

The reason for the comparison between him and one of the greatest philosopher is not far-fetched. His concise use of words motivated this. One being the day he was asked What is your spec? and he replied, Do you have sense?

That four words among many others are what's making BBnaija Laycon, whose song "Who is laycon" garnered about 100k streams in less than a day people's choice.

Africa's richest man Aliko Dangote again confirms Arsenal takeover intent with 2021 vow

Nigerian business magnate Aliko Dangote has once again declared his intention to buy Arsenal Football Club… in 2021.

During the last five years, the 62 year-old has made separate claims, on no less than five occasions, about his want to lead an Emirates takeover.

Dangote, who is the 96th wealthiest man in the world, according to Bloomberg's Billionaire's Index, started his first business at the age of 21 and also founded Africa's largest cement provider, stated in 2018 his desire to make a move for the North London club in 2020.

"We will go after Arsenal from 2020… even if somebody buys, we will still go after it,” he told Reuters in 2018.

Now he has altered his plans, amid a holdup with his Dangote Refinery project.

The Dangote Refinery remains under construction in the remote Ibeju-Lekki suburb of Lagos and is expected to be one of the world's largest oil refineries once complete.

However, with that project having experienced numerous delays and now not set to be completed until 2021, Dangote's timescale has changed.

In an interview with Bloomberg, broadcast on the most recent edition The David Rubinstein Show, Dangote - who has an estimated net worth of $14.1bn - reiterates his intentions for the Premier League outfit.

He states: "It is a team that yes I would like to buy some day, but what I keep saying is we have $20billion worth of projects and that's what I really want to concentrate on.

"I'm trying to finish building the company and then after we finish, maybe some time in 2021 we can.

"I'm not buying Arsenal right now, I'm buying Arsenal when I finish all these projects, because I'm trying to take the company to the next level.”

Arsenal are currently owned by Stan Kroenke, through his Kroenke Sports & Entertainment group, with the American having come in for widespread criticism in recent years.

Senegal Star Mane Beats Salah And Mahrez To Win African Player Of The Year Award
The 25-year-old has become the first Senegalese to win the annual award since 2002, after finishing as runners-up in the last two years.

Senegal forward Sadio Mane has been named the 2019 African Player of the Year.

The Liverpool attacker defeated his club teammate Mohamed Salah and Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez to win his maiden individual award on the continent.

Mane enjoyed an outstanding campaign at club and international level last year, helping Senegal to the final of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where they eventually lost to Algeria.

Last season, the talisman scored 22 goals to share the Premier League Golden Boot with Salah and Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He also played a key role in helping Liverpool win the Uefa Champions League, Super League and the Fifa Club World Cup last year.

The motivation to write this letter is informed by the preponderance of vulnerable but not 'toothless' students that their academic careers are beginning to crumble in the face of the present ASUP Nationwide Strike.

I hope this letter meets you in a very sound 'state of mind', following the controversies surrounding the suspension of the head of the institution widely believed to be the last hope of the common man. I learnt your '' Lai Mohammed'' claimed the purported suspension is constitutional, moral and legally right. Hopefuly, the issue would not be laid-to-rest the same way all other critical & sensitive issues had been buried in your istration. Time will tell anyways!

Not to digress, however, from the main issue, I believe if pen is mightier than sword, then incessant strike shouldn't always be an option, rather a well structured negotiation.

I would want to allign with ''Education is the most powerful weapon which can change the world'' say of Nelson Mandela. But the simple truth is that ''things are beginning to fall apart'' in our country and education sector in particular.

Consequently, the pressing issues that made the union embark on strike simultaneously alongside their University counterpact might be cloudy. The partly 7.02% or less usually awarded the education sector in the nation's budget as against UNESCO recommendation is a viable reason the union decision is justifiable.

With the benefit of hindsight, most of the union agitations are issues that should have been amicably addressed to waive the lingering strike. But abysmally as it may be, your entourage totally failed to weigh or consider their offers, probably because you careless about our future.

Let me slice it a little thinner, the reasons for the ineffectiveness and inefficiency of most Nigerian graduates are multifactorial. I'm convinced the avoidable pause in our academic pursuits is a great contributor. I took some measures to analyse the havoc caused by the always-long-strike, i observed our environment is dominated by hoodlums which are mostly idle students the strike affect adversely.

My eyes became heavy and red when I bumped on the emotional story of a Nigerian that forfeited an opportunity to study in the University of Cape Town due to the ongoing strike. The agony in here voice further depicts the trauma of loosing a hard-earned scholarship to study in the university all beacuse the strike denied her the chance to process her transcript. To you it might be coincidence, but to me it is not because 'lf coincidences keep occuring it is fate, if fate deepens it's destiny''. Is our destinies in this country maltreatments and rejections?

Sir, anytime we get to know a meeting is to hold between the FG and Union delegates our hope is raised. Unyielding meetings, however, make us go to bed thinking all hope is lost. Let me put it to you, there is no real achievement without some measures of madness. Great achievement in the education sector can not happen by happenstance. It's a product of commitment. It's therefore a wake -up call for you to show more commitment for the education sector. Serious commitment as well as importance need to be attached to the sector.

More importantly, I would want to give some of my friends- your astute followers and APC cohorts- a benefit of doubt. They assured me that sooner rather than later, you will do the needful. Interestingly, they envisaged two (2) weeks. Failure to call-off the stike I would have no option than to regard the 14days as my ultimatum and conclude our future is deliberately truncated by your istration.

However, this letter will not be complete without letting you know that if the strike is not as a matter of urgency call-off, I wouldn't hesitate to be among the frontrunners for the crusade against your istration. Do not forget we represent a whopping 50% of the electorates in the coming general election. We wouldn't be scare to unleash the democratic power we possess to vote you out as the 'Aso Villa Landlord'

To cap my submission, it's said that ''if you can pay a price, you'll get a prize. Our failure to reckon with this fact denies us the grasp of where the problem lies. The sooner the revitalisation of the education sector begins the better it is.

Yours faithtfully
