Budget wise the best pick here is the C75
ParadoxWrites:
In continuation of our previous post (https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/8356525/top-10-budget-smartphones-nigeria) , we already had a promise to keep but we had to wait for the new releases (as you can see some brand didn't feature ) , hopefully by year end we are going to have a full catalogue breakdown.
The main idea of a mid-range phone is to get as close as possible to a flagship while keeping the price as low as possible (basically a bang for buck kinda stratagem where you have features of flagship at a lower price in sacrifice for other stuffs). In this price bracket, smartphones offer better performance, improved cameras, faster charging, and designs compared to entry-level devices. Whether you're a gamer, content creator, or multitasker, these phones deliver excellent value.
We ranked them based on performance, camera quality, battery life, software, and overall experience, using official prices and reputable online stores.
1. Tecno Camon 40 Pro 4G (₦350,000 – ₦400,000)

- Camera: 50MP main + 50MP selfie.
- Performance: MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate.
- Battery: 5200mAh with 45W fast charging.
- Software: HiOS 15 (Android 15).

The black is really fine
Jesutooni:
Yesterday, I was chatting with my guy when he sent me a photo of this sleek phone.
“Guy, check this realme C75. E fine die and e no even cost!”
I thought he was just hyping, but when I checked it out—omo, the phone is clean. The design is sharp, the body looks , and it has a big 6.72-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. That means smoother scrolling and a better viewing experience, even on a budget.
Then he added, “Battery na 6000mAh, and e dey charge fast.”
True! The realme C75 comes with 45W fast charging. You don’t see that often in budget phones.
What shocked me most was the price and camera:
50MP main camera, and it’s going for around ₦210,000.
Not bad at all. The pictures look sharp, even at night.
It’s powered by a capable chipset, with up to 8GB RAM and RAM expansion too. So normal apps, social media, even light gaming—no stress.
If you’re looking for a phone that looks good, lasts long, and won’t break the bank, the realme C75 is worth checking out. My guy don buy him own already. Me sef dey reason am now.

I love the classy look, thus still having the rugged durability to it, its cool
Richie001:
As smartphones become more essential for work, education, and everyday life, many Nigerians are searching for reliable devices that don’t compromise on quality or performance. However, with the rising cost of electronics and limited options in the budget segment, finding a phone that delivers value has become more challenging.
In late 2024, the Nigerian smartphone landscape saw a significant development with the official entry of **realme**, a fast-growing global brand known for its practical and -centered devices. Launching models like the **realme Note 50**, **realme C61**, and **realme C75**, the brand has begun attracting attention for offering phones that blend thoughtful design with useful features—without pushing the price too high.
What makes realme stand out isn’t just affordability—it’s the approach to balance. Their devices are equipped with efficient processors, decent camera systems, strong battery life, and modern aesthetics, making them suitable for both everyday s and tech enthusiasts on a budget.
Since its launch, realme has received positive from Nigerian s who are often impressed by the performance and design of the phones compared to others in the same segment. With this growing reception, the brand is positioning itself as a fresh and competitive option in Nigeria’s already dynamic smartphone market.
As more people get to experience what realme has to offer, it may just redefine what s expect from a budget smartphone—offering a better balance of cost, performance, and durability.

The tests seemed so intense too
IheomaAkparanta:
Honestly, my first impression was that it was too good to be true. Cos how would a phone claim to be water and dust proof. But with the kinds of tests that I've seen this phone go through, I definitely believe them
