So in your own judgement, these highlighted discrepancies are not huge enough to invalidate an election result?
The country would run into troubled waters if you dare go near any corridor of power.
Wrong Son, wrong! The invalidation of the election will be a function of the degree to which the errors affect the final result! Simple...maybe when PDP is done counting, APC shd also ask for the votes from the PDP strongholds to b counted to, then u wl c lyt in the position of the person u mentioned @ xxgig

As much as I Iyamu's exercise of his constitutional right to seek redress, supposing that these irregularities shd automatically be a valid ground for invalidation of the election in ur opinion bothers on the realm of incongruity as ONLY the court can determine if the irregularities are weighty enough and non-marginal for the cancellation of the election! So take a chill pill!

@ingshot beautiful piece u put up there and I must say to all those who keep saying what is this government doin?

We must agree on the agree on the premise that there is no magic wand to get out of this dire straits and spending our way out is key to gettin us out in the short term. The question then arises: what do we spend when its obvious that we are cash strapped?

BORROWING!

To @owobokiri that opined that the government should go for "training their population to be productive", how else will a government train its populace when its runnin on empty-where will d much needed funds come from? We are back to that word we dread-borrowing because our foreign exchange earner has lost its lustre!

To @salomonkane who suggested we look inward without letting us know what that means and also castigating the borrowing plan of the government but, if i understnd ur "lookin inwards plan", it comes off more as a long term plan than a short term plan to stabilise our economy and this plan of urs will require funds to get it rolling. Do we have d funds to get it on the road? Hungry folks cant "look inwards"! I understnd ur pessimism at the govt borrowing plan though but being between the devil and the deep blue sea that we have found ourselves requires a "leap of faith"!

Atleast there is positive news comin from Nigerias Eurobond listing
https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/3620010/nigerias-1-billion-eurobond-oversubscribed

This is a step in the right direction and tells of better things to come!

You did not understand what he said there. YarAdua had failed to abide by the constitution and thus left a vacuum which inadvertently led to chaos. Buhari was calling for intervention from House of Reps (the people have the mandate to impeach a president if he has failed to carry out the obligations of oath)

In Buhari's case there's no need for intervention, he has already done what is constitutionally required ahead of his incapacitation.

Do you get it now?

Few years from now we will look back and realize that Buhari is a father and blessing for the nation. The man is very transparent.
It couldnt get simpler than u framed this but some folks will rather see through their own self-gratifying and skewed narrative!

The question we should ask ourselves is, is there a power vacuum at the moment? NO! Because Buhari dd the constitutionally proper thing to do before leaving the shores of Nigeria, which is handing over to the Vice-President and the issue of Karma as some are already salivating in here doesnt even arise!

In Africa, and mayb Nigeria most especially we have a culture of criticizing religious leaders for very trivial issues. Then for issues of high gravity, we almost crucify them without taking a second thought and putting ourselves in the self-same situation.

I chose to revisit the "marriage" case of Pastor Chris and his wife Pastor Anita. Pastor Anita had levied serious accusations against her husband before the whole world of which there was no specific mention of PROMISCUITY. Of a truth if her claims were true, they're "condemnable". But how could you conclude on an issue btw two people without hearing from both. Sometimes the best way to find out where the problem is in such situation is by noting the actions/reactions of each person involved. Here are some salient but latent observations from the story of the crashed union:

1. Pastor Anita came out and accused her husband openly before the whole world. The accused never showed any remorse (meaning he has a firm stand on his opinions as regarding the issue btw them), yet he never accused his acc of any wrong doing. There is only one reason this can happen: when you are conscious of who you are and not letting your integrity fall by your own hands.

2. Pastor Anita filed for divorce. I believe she knows what the bible says about divorce. She DIVORCED him, Not him divorcing her. From what I realized, when your partner files a lawsuit to divorce you, there is nothing you can do to stop it whether you like it or not. Then what if your partner is hell-bent to tarnish your image with a divorce...what would you do to protect your marriage?(Question4u)

3. News had it that Pastor Anita recently remarried another man and changed her name. If this is true, then "who is now committing adultery?"...."The accused: whose own we didn't see? Or the Acc: whose own we can now see?" John 16:18 says "Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery." (KJV)

4. Pastor Chris still wears his wedding ring till date. The pictures I will post after this shows that. Isn't this an indication that this man never has the intention to divorce his wife, and despite that his wife divorced him he does not consent to it. In a funny way, I think he demonstrates this faith that someday she will repent and come back to where she belongs....and I wouldn't doubt it if someone tells me that he is praying for her in his closet.

So from these deductions, I cannot find any wrong in the man in this issue. Everything levied against him are just "accusations", we were not there to witness any of it. But the things we can now see has given great insight into the matter. Mind you, I am not a Christ Embassy Member. No Christ Embassy Member will ever engage a discussion of their Pastors' family lives.
I urge every christian to learn to be constructive in our criticisms...especially when it concerns anointed men of God. If you ain't sure of what you want to say, better do not say it all. The truth is, many of us are suffering because of "unguarded speeches" we made against anointed men of God around us, most especially our immediate pastors.
On one hand u say we shd engage in constructive criticism and den on the other u have sentenced the Woman from ur very very very limited knowledge of all that transpired which NONE outside Pst Chris and Anita know about!

Your examples are not scriptural so all you said are rubbish as far as christianity is concerned.
Show me the scriptures that permits a Christian to kill
Son, cummando is right!
In the Old testament, God gave the commandments to Moses which included the command not to kill, yes, but in the same old testament, the same God told Saul to utterly KILL the Amelekites. Are u saying God is an author of confusion, which He is not? Are u sayin Gods words are contradictory, which it isnt?

Son, pls stop takin verses of scripture out of context. The command not to kill in the commandments refers to mindless, murderous killing i.e u cnt just wake like a fulani herdsman n tk up arms n murder someone not one which occurs in a conflict or war!

Do not also forget dt Jesus elevated this to not just physical attack on someone but also about an evil thought or speech about someone else. So d qstn u shd ask urself is if u do ds without "killing" as a soldier!

In the first place, I never believed the bombing was a mistake bcs I know we have many Islamic fanatics and Boko Haram sympathizers in our military.

As much as u r entitled to ur opinion especially one that smacks of conspiracy i think it is flawed to have such thought trajectory!

I think we push this our "this is nigeria, anything can happen" notion too far!

1. Thank God a PAUL IRABOR that non of u is tokin about ordered the mission, maybe if it was a MOHAMMED ah by now we wd have gone deaf!

2. Neither u or any of d fellas dt see through ur broken lenses can give us plausible answers as to why the military will send a jet on a bombing spree of an IDP made of mostly muslims! Maybe we should ask the terrorist Paul Irabor?

My opinion is simple: There was an intelligence error as the military posited!

The bombings, whether IDP or not, are all part of his tactical field command.

Before a general makes a call in a theatre of war, he receives inputs and briefings from all unit commanders quartered under him, analyses his options, including TARGET LOCATION and possible casualty and makes his call

How does a general make a call to bomb an area that the millitary high command itself mapped out as an IDP camp?

Do you mean to tell me that the airforce does not have the air cordinates for it's own IDP?

Who gave the cordinates for the raid?

Before a combat pilot drops his cargo, the rule of engagement demands you must circle 2 -3 times to establish visual confirmation before engagement and request for operation command consent before that is done, was that done?

If the pilot followed the rules of engagement (and the NAF has not said he did not), and got his targets wrong, then the tactical/operational command bom-bom should be roasted.

Oga u jst want to keep arguing baseless without givin room for human error...haba...if as thourough as the US can be, they bombed a doctors without borders HOSPITAL (nt to mention bombing of schools in Afghanistan), this is not an excuse for the occurence of such incidence but then it only tells you that the margin of human error will always be there-in this case i believe it has to do with inteligence!

I want to qout Apostle Paul's advice to the Church of Christ in Philippians chpt 4 vs 8 & 9. It says " finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Vs 9 says "Those thing which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you."
However, it's not right to have such a display in the church, and if it's not right then, it's a sin. Bible says that "All unrighteousness is a sin..." 1John 5vs 17. But I think the suspending the couple is a bit harsh, they should have been counselled and cautioned.
Really? A sin? U arrived at dt flawed conclusion by turnin scriptures on its head?

Wow, sorry to say but u just introduced SHARIA in church!

So I will go to hell from church if i collapse all because I had my hand wrapped around my pregnant wife's waiste!
