occam: Volunteering is just the same as slavery. Don't waste your time working for free. Any company that values your contribution to their bottom line should pay for your effort.

Employers are only after results and profit, not to help pad your resume with "make up" work
i disagree my brother. volunteering is one of the ways experience is gained and also an avenue for being choosen for a job when ever there is an opening any where. when u volunteer u are also training urself for a better opportunity in the future

if either of them can invest in real estate and become a landlord ASAP then they can be sure of the future. but they should ensure their property is insure against fire disaster. investing money is the key saving money is not good. inflation will reduce the value of the cash in the bank.he should only save to buy income producing assets. thats my point doh

smartusman: This will be a bad start for graduates who want to pursue a career in their field. U can imagine an ing graduate whose only experience is truck driving, this can affect his/her chances of getting an ing-related jobs. This is pathetic
look my friend times have changed. The economy is not smiling and the chances of finding a job that is similar to what you read is next to zero due to our population and extremely bad and cruel government. wake up and welcome to the new economy.

Being rich in my opinion is having all the cash in the bank and u still have to keep waking up in the morning and working from 8 am to 7pm to keep the cash flowing. in other words a rich man still works for money. but a wealthy man does not have to wake up to work for money. money works for him. a wealthy man has cash flowing asset that throws cash at him to sustains his financial concerns without working. just

dangote is not the only one in the cement business people. There are cement factories in shagamu and Ewekoro in the west and there is also one is the south that is technically being managed by the chinese and in the north there is one in sokoto and Gombe state all this are not dangote owned so please he is not monopolizing it. he is just investing big in it and i laud him for that. i did my thesis on cement production so i have toured most of the cement plants in the north so i know much abt them

ypzilanti:

Part of the problem in the aviation sector is that the fees and taxes on the airlines in Nigeria is higher than anywhere in the world. Next time you buy a ticket, look at the percentage that goes into taxes and fees. Its about 40% of the ticket. This is not reflected in the maintaninace of the airports but that is a different topic any way. Apart from the ticket taxes and fees, thier revenues are easily verified by government, so they cannot do the usual underdeclaration of profits for corporate taxation purposes.

The airlines are squeezing thier margins out of doing poor maintenace and buying old aircraft.

A 20% slash in taxes and fees will do a lot regarding air safety in Nigeria.
guy i agree with u but if they r heavily task why should they go into the airline business if they know they would be left with less cash to maintain their planes? its not by force to invest in naija if u dont have funds.to pay higher taxes and for keeping business going

@adeoflagos i understand ur point ur making but i would still stress that in this case of taraba state the likelyhood for petroleum to be found there is next to nil. look u dont get crude oil in a basement complex terrain. even all the reservior rocks. and the source rocks u talked about are all sedimentary rocks . the temperature of formation of crude oil is between 60 to 80 degrees. now wat is d temperature of magmas that comes up during volcanic eruptions 1500 degrees or more crude would be destroyed at this temperature. and this temperature favoures the formations of solid mineral deposits. u cant find gold in the Niger delta and u cant find oil in places where u have gold and other solid minerals that are formed at very high temperatures. i stand to be corrected though.
