Excluding Gift from Falcons’ squad is scandalous, says Izilien

Countries go to war with their available soldiers and it is unfortunate that Nigeria has not learnt that lesson, former Super Falcons’ coach, Godwin Izilien, has told the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Reviewing the list of players available to Nigeria for the Africa Women Cup Of Nations (AWCON) billed to hold in Morocco, Izilien said it was scandalous on the part of the coaches chose to exclude the reigning top scorer in the just-concluded Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six Championship and the player of the season, Monday Gift, from the championship.

He said the FC Robo Queens striker, who was loaned to Bayelsa Queens in the outgoing season, deserves to be among the 32 players listed for the competition.

He wondered why the Falcons’ technical crew would ignore a top striker like Gift, whose outstanding performance at the Women’s league and NWFL Super Six Championship propelled Bayelsa Queens to the NWFL title.

He charged the Falcons’ coach to yield to the public outcry and invite Gift to fight for shirt in the national team, explaining: “One of the hallmarks of the Super Falcons is that they identify talents in the domestic league and invite them to the national team.

“The Falcons team have won laurels in the past with players discovered in Nigeria. So, I don’t understand why Gift, a skillful striker, who scored all her goals in the league and the NWFL Super Six Championship in an outstanding manner, should not be in the Super Falcons’ team preparing for the Women Championship in Morocco.

“At this moment, she is one of the best women players in the Nigerian league, yet, she was not invited to the national team. This is a clear reflection of sentiments in the Falcons’ technical crew and the NFF.

“This is scandalous. NFF should order the Falcons technical crew to invite Gift to the Super Falcons squad.”

Macleans Chinonyerem didn't even start the last game yesterday, she was on the bench. Maybe she would have scored if she had started.

Congratulations to her for the Silver medal, Golden Boot in the bag. I will advise she moves to a tougher league if the deal comes..

Ifeoma Onumonu scored for her club

On the live chat, they were also talking about her pairing with Asisat Oshoala, one of the fan was like she would switch from Kenya to Nigeria.

The NWSL to me is the most followed League World-wide both fans from Serbia, England,
Brazil and Spain were there commenting on the Players and the various g they want too..

I had to combine watching and reading comments.

During Diacre's post-game interview upon losing to the USA in the QF at the 2019 WC, she stated flippantly that she never saw the USA go into a 5-back defensive block, and that inferred that the French NT is as good as the USA.... The reason that they lost was not the quality of the French players, it was Diacre's sticking to her game plan which Ellis had nullified by her multiple formations: 4-3-3, 4-1-4-1, 5-4-1.... Since then, Diacre over the last 3 years insulted Renard, Le Sommer and of course Henry.

Not sure why the FFF president sees in her value. Unfortunately, even if the French are eliminated in the WEUROS, a coaching change will mostly likely not occur since the WC is next year.

The Coach keep having having issues with the french senior players, the Federation didn't speak up when she left out Marie Katoto for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, it was really funny picking Guavin ahead of Katoto. Its a good thing Sha that the FA are respecting her decisions it was one of the biggest ommission at the last World. The same coach is currently having issues with their experience and first choice Goalkeeper, Sarah Bouhadi, Bouhadi has insisted on staying out of the National Team till the Coach leaves, same also happened between her and Lesommer, also head she had a slight issue with Renard too concerning Captain hand band..

Amandine Henry is an all round great Midfielder, no Matter who the Coach decides to replace her with she can't give what Henry gives, but a lot of courage for the Coach taking such bold steps..

I know too well that most of the players will Speak up one ot two once she leaves the position as Head Coach

They need to appreciate what is in front of them. Nobody is perfect but she had a tremendous performance

She had an excellent performance yesterday, I was really impressed if not over impressed... The issue here is not about appreciating what they have upfront but about our own Player getting better so she can at least Compete for the best individual awards...

If Asisat Oshoala can be converting most of those chances I bet there's no way she wouldn't be in top3 strikers in the World...

The likes of Samantha Kerr, Vivian Miedema, Ada Hegerberg, Anthionette Katoto are not that better than Oshoala they just convert most of the chances they get if not Asisat Oshoala have advantage over them like her Speed and Strength, The way Oshoala presses her opposition defenders is far ahead of the rest, she needs to be more clinical that's all.. As a Striker what matters most is Scoring goals..

I decided to go through the comments sections of the yesterday Cup game Full game videos and highlights..

Behold, most of them keep saying Asisat Oshoala is good, She has the strength, Speed and presses very well but her First touches and finishing is still not there yet...

She really needs to work on her finishing and her first touch, with that she will be able to convert at least 70% to 80% of the chances gets...

Super Falcons goalkeeper wins top award in French Women’s league

21-year old goalkeeper was recognised for her excellent season with Paris FC in the French Women’s League

Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has been awarded with the Bruno Martini Award for Goalkeeping Revelation of the Season in French women’s football.

The French Association of Professional Football Goalkeeper Coaches awarded the Paris FC goalkeeper for her excellent performance in the league. She helped Paris FC finish third in the league, as the capital team also qualified for a place in next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The award is voted for by other goalkeepers, professional football goalkeeper coaches, and of the goalkeeper coaches’ association.

Nnadozie was nominated alongside Stade de Reims goalkeeper, Emily Alvarado and Issy GPS goalkeeper, Colette Morche.
The goalkeeper was elated with her recognition in the award given by the AEGB and thanked the association and her club for the laurel.

“I want to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to the AEGB Football Association , for this great award. A special thanks to Paris FV, you guys made it possible.”

It was Nnadozie’s second nomination and she has now won one of them. She was also selected as one of the best five goalkeepers in the French Women’s league by UNFP, Ligue 1 organisers but missed out on the biggest prize.

Nnadozie has been invited to the Super Falcons ahead of the camping for the Women African Cup of Nations.

Asisat Oshoala also selected her as her favourite Super Falcons goalkeeper and described her as “a very good goalkeeper” in a FIFA Plus TV interview.

A resounding age fraud scandal from the Ghanaian capital, Accra.

In a new incident that will remain a disgrace on the forehead of the Ghanaian and Confederation of African Football and stain the reputation of the game within the brown continent once again, the technical staff of the Ghanaian under-17 women's team found itself forced to exclude 6 of its best players yesterday on the day of its match against the Moroccan national team in the framework of The last round of the World Cup qualifiers after feeling the danger of exclusion on paper following an objection made by the Moroccan side hours before the match, ed by material evidence proving that the players concerned exceeded the legal age by much, as three of them are over 23 years old, while the rest of the players are over 18 and 20 years old .

As the match date approached, the Ghana national team coach did not find a solution other than to include the rest of the players present, despite his prior knowledge that 8 of them are also not qualified to play, as most of the players invited to the decisive match go to the World Cup qualifiers with false dates on their forged ports.

The players that the Ghanaian side sacrificed before the start of the match to reduce the losses:

No. 11 - Karima Abdullah / Ghanaian girls' wing in the qualifiers two years ago, 24 years old and a university graduate two years ago.

No. 9 - Mariam Idrissou Maltiti / 18 years old and one of the decisive strikers for the Ghana under-17 team during the qualifying rounds.

No. 10 - Georgina Aisha Oyim / 23 years old, the captain of the Ghana U-17 team and its top scorer in the qualifiers.

No. 2 - Fossini Zoleha / the second captain of the Ghana U-17 team and the most important defender in the team for two years, 21 years old.

No. 1 - Amina Ahamado / the main goalkeeper of the Ghana U-17 team, a 23-year-old university student.

No. 7 - Constant Serwa Agyemang, winner of the Women's Player of the Year award last season, 19 years old.

On the other hand, after the end of the first leg match the day before yesterday with a Ghanaian victory 2-0, it is expected that in the coming days and before the return match, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, along with the Senegalese and Guinean teams, who were eliminated against the same team with all its mentioned players, will follow the door of rulers The legal requirements of the Confederation of African Football “CAF” and the International Federation “FIFA” with all the evidence possessed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to stop these repeated and systematic blatant abuses by the same authorities and persons in contravention of all legislation and moral principles, the most important of which is the principle of equal opportunities, which contributed This phenomenon is still significantly slowing down the development of football within the continent, especially women's football.

Desiree Ellis has not improved Banyana': Portia Modise slams women's national team coach

“This year it’s going to be difficult because Vera was the one who embarked on a mission to discover players such as Thembi Kgatlane at HPC (Safa girls academy).“And how long was HPC there and our coaches couldn’t find players and they couldn’t even look at HPC. Vera Pauw dug deep and when she had to go on a red carpet, I’m sure she didn’t like what was happening in that house and she said ‘please let me leave’ and when Desiree Ellis walked on that path it was just a red carpet.“The girls were already prepared that they want to win this.
