I think you’d enjoy Salt Lake City. SLC, Utah is incredibly clean with some of the freshest air anywhere. Im not sure where you found that information but SLC is very safe, people hardly lock their doors, and has a very low crime rate.
Spot on!

Utah is funny!.... home of the Mormons .... holiest State... be like Deeper Life run the town... but yet.... behind closed doors.... it be Sodom and Gomorrah!
Waiting for up date Sanchez!... really want to know how you're making out in that ehmmm ..... report part of the country!
Your description is so apt. A peaceful religious state on the outside and coded Sodom and Gomorrah behind the curtains. It is a beautiful state, that I can't deny.

I haven't forgotten the update at all.

The Deltan in me cannot fathom it. embarassed They give all sorts of names to their perversions
I swear! Funny enough, prostitution or exchanging sex for money is illegal here and they are classed as "Class B misdemeanours". Strangely, polyamory, is allowed and it thrives like wildfire. I will write extensively on it in my diary very soon.

Hahahaha

In Utah, marrying as they wish like our forefathers here lol.

Those guys v a different orientation from the rest of US and the western world .

Pls drop pictures of the environment
Polygamy and polyamory are two different things. I doubt polygamy is legal anywhere in the United States but I know some states have been clamouring for it for a while now. While you can swap your wife with someone for the sake of fun, she returns to you after the whole as the other woman to her husband. You are still not legally allowed to take more than one wife.

This...this is disgusting embarassed
It is, the thought of it. For weird reasons, it seems to strengthen their marriages here. The idea of practicing infidelity with your spouse and still go back home like nothing happened is ridiculous.

Naija always thinking about the wrong thing,we got the most population with the most poverty and unemployment.
Funny enough, it isn't a wrong question. If you stay on Google long enough, you'll see the same questions asked by people in the past.

Lol, so you want come marry more wives for here. I hear it’s true though.
Lol! Not exactly but polyamory is a big thing here in Salt Lake City and almost the whole of Utah. It is very easy to see couples who are willing to swing or just invite a single dude to sleep with their wife while they watch. It sounds unbelievable but it abounds here.

Lucky you then cos I got tired of staying in the Airbnb apartment I got. Couldn’t wait to get to my own place. Yeah you get all your gas and heating from Dominion Energy and I help Make that happen so if you make me vex I go disconnect your gas lol just joking. So how you settling in so far?
grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Settling in has been fun and interesting, even more than imagined. I'll be finalising the last leg of my home set up this weekend. The food here is sending me though. It's been homemade 100%. Other than that, it's all good. I trust you are fully settled in right now, correct?

Booked a place on Airbnb in Millcreek and stayed for 3 weeks when I first got here last month, then moved to SLC 1st of this month when the apartment I got was ready to move in. My work place is in Magna, an LNG plant own by Dominion Energy. You stay in Millcreek?
In my case, booked an Airbnb around Jordan Landing when I first arrived. I was supposed to stay roughly two weeks but got an apartment early enough, just after two days.

Yes, I'm in one of the Mill Creeks. Dominion Energy serves us here.

SLC is a small cute city lots of mountains so if you want to go hiking this is definitely the best place for you. Sometimes the pressure can be so low here because of the night elevation, I’m currently having a bleeding nose because of that
Wait, you live beside the mountains? If yes, you live around Mill Creek?

ed my first day in the US, landed in JFK on a winter morning. My brain almost exploded when I stepped outside the airport, had to run back inside. If I had taken one more step I’m sure I would have frozen. The cold was unbelievable.
That JFK breeze that hits you at the exit isn't normal one bit. All through our two day stay in New York, the wind was crazy. I mean it slapped a side of my face so hard that I turned round and thought someone called my name. And I was wearing a beanie. It's not just normal.

That’s nice, glad you’re enjoying the place already. Booking a flight to SLC soon. Never been there before. Wanna see if it’s as cute as Denver, Colorado.
It's a peaceful, quiet city. I'm sure you'll love it.

@Sanchez01 congratulations 9n fleeing the dumpster fire of a country called Nigeria . It will take a while for the grime to fade off you but with time it will.

A while ke? It has faded already sef. For the first two week, I used to wake up at night thinking 'NEPA has taken the light' but not anymore.

Surprisingly, I settled in nicely.

Is Salt Lake City a good place to make your home? Heard there’s this misty kinda thing surrounding the atmosphere just like Port harcourt in Nigeria courtesy of the mountains and people are kinda scared and has a high crime rate. Stay safe

Anyways looking to come there for vacation this summer for just one weekend to see for myself
Salt Lake City is extremely cold, though not as cold as Alaska. Loads of mountains as well. Crime rate in SLC is extremely low all thanks to the high education level.

It is an extremely peaceful city and everyone seems nice. I plan on hiking on the mountains very soon but I hope to do a proper picture thread before then.

Sanchez01 it’s great to see you moved out. Was really enjoying your intelligent comments in Household thread. Another talent leaves Nigeria for a hopeful better clime. I’m right behind you (japa’in soon) though I’m actually a returnee from several years abroad. I tried to love it here in Nigeria but got stoked with all that’s been currently happening. So I’ll be off soon too. Don’t think I’ll create a thread though cos it won’t be the same excitement like before. And just to add for anyone who’s traveling through turkey. If you get the transit visa, you could actually get on a tour of Istanbul if the connection time is quite long (I can’t if it was free when I last connected through Turkey on my flight to Nigeria). But it was worth it, got to see the Dolmabache palace, Bosporus bridge among others. Cool stuff.
cheesy

My brother, if you can, leave. Nigeria isn't a real place. I hate to say it but you will only realise how much of a jungle Nigeria is when you move to where things work.

So far, I have gotten my social, got a credit card approved by Discovery, changed billing details to mine and done lots of stuff without having to leave my home, bribe someone or queue endlessly.

To be honest, I was quite indifferent the entire flight and wasn't moved about touring Turkey. I just wanted to touch down and pretend like I never spent a long time travelling. I guess it's because wifey packed heavy and I was dragging bags. With my current frame of mind now, I'm sure I could do all of that now but the opportunity has ed without a doubt.

Please, if there is any trick in having a male child, as that is what he is saying now. That people are telling him that there is a method for a male child, and that the method he was told gave him the sixth female child. I really want to help him. What ever thing u tell me is what i will tell him. Thanks
There are sex positions that determine a child's sex. The male swimmers are faster but die off quickly. The females, on the other part, are slower and reach the eggs no matter what, even at their slow pace. The trick is to give the male swimmers a head start by taking on positions that would get them to the eggs faster.

You can Google more on this and also find the positions that determine the male child.

My praise repertoire (list of songs) flew off my head after worship ended on a special thanksgiving Sunday. Intro had started and I kept smiling and staring at the whole church. The choir noticed and their morale died. It was a disaster.

The service was so horrible that it was like a graveyard all through. At the end of the service, Pastor held an emergency meeting with the choir and in the meeting said "I think this brother should not be allowed to lead for now. As a matter of fact, don't let him back up." grin As if the humiliation of "scattering" the service was not enough.

This happened 14 years ago.

Why the practiced song on Saturday always sounds better than the ministration on Sunday
Because the congregation aren't there to watch, which means the tension and pressure aren't there. Plus, since the song is newly learnt, the freshness will always be there. Every part of the song is always observed until you go home, sleep over it and everyone comes the following day like "abeg, how the song take start again?". And then there are the musicians or instrumentalists who can't the intro.

It always feels like there should be one swift rehearsal before the choir rises or comes on stage just so the song can be refreshed.

anyone who blasphemes the name of the LORD is to be put to death. The entire assembly must stone them. Whether foreigner or native-born, when they blaspheme the Name they are to be put to death.

The Old Testament was a direct law to the Children of Israel whose heart were strong. Where Christianity has walked, trod and left is where Islam is stuck today.

LET'S EVEN PRETEND FOR A MINUTE THAT THIS STILL APPLIES, IS MUHAMMAD, A FILTHY MORTAL THE LORD OR HAVE ANY CLOSE TIES WITH HIM?
