Probably there's a candidate he doesn't want him or her to win.
Abi how can a sitting governor have such boldness to not conduct election for a sect in a state that practice democracy

Black is the definition of beauty.
I love her already.

I think one thing I ire most in curvy women is that thigh gap. It's so unique that not all girls with curves have it.
Once I see one I cherish them

There are African phrases that best describe the disobedience of these failed government.

" A man who fails to guide his territory will soon face threat from his enemies"

" A fly that does not heed to advice will soon follow the corpse to the grave"

Buhari have had enough time to get things right in this country. Unless he is deaf I can't understand his ignorance towards this ethnic war that's fast looming.

Am still thinking Nigeria may be one of those countries cursed in the bible. Just don't understand why things doesn't get better, rather it's from fry pan to fire.

God, truly, is the only one that can save this country

There are still genuine ones but very few

Probably most of the online ones not stage pageants where judges end up giving another winner who paid more

The uncomfortable truth is that most of these pageant organizers hardly ever pick the best contestants by intelligence, rather it's a case of the highest bidder wins.
This challenge the truth of some of their missions.
Hardly in Nigeria you see any competition rewarding the dermserved winners.

In a recent interview, fast rising Nollywood actress Ugonma Kalu open up on how Nigerian actresses fund their luxurious lifestyle.

The Igbo born thespian also talked about sex for role in Nollywood and her personal life.

1: How was growing up like?

Growing up has never been easy. There is always high tide and low tide.

I am the last Child of my mum and as of then the last child in the family.
My parents were, at times, a bit more strict and my elderly ones too. We are Catholics so i grew up in a religious Christian background where they often tell me don't do this or that!

2: Why did you decide to go into acting?

I will say it is a ion, i started with primary school drama. The ion kept pushing me that while seeking University ission, i wanted to study Theatre Art. I have always loved creativity and entertainment.

3: Does acting fund your luxurious lifestyle?

It will be wrong for anyone to solely depend on a particular profession or source of income presently with the unstable economy we have in Nigeria. Like the say, you can't store your eggs in one basket. But there's money in acting just keep pushing.

4: Are you in a relationship? With who?

That's personal, not sure I want to reveal that.

5: Can you date an actor?

Hmmmmm! I can't oh! I think we both will be too busy for each other abeg

6: What's your take on sex for role in Nollywood, have you ever experienced such? How do you handle it?

I hear people talk about these matter, funny enough i have never been approached on that.
Most directors i know and have worked with are just responsible and strict.

Maybe it happened before, here, most directors are professionals besides why on earth will you subject yourself to that point. I can't give you sex for a role, knowing i am good in my job. Sex should be a two way thing. Something must make us do it.

6: Who is your role model and why?

My mother, because she is a giver.

7: Your celebrity crush?

Omg! Kalu ikeagwu

8: It's alleged that most actresses sleep with sugar daddies to make ends meet, how do you respond to that?

What did you call it? Sugar daddies, any daddy that is sugar should also be delicious to taste! I am just joking oh! To me it's personal, anyhow anyone can make ends meet as far as it is not deadly and evil to me it's fine. Sugar daddies or sweet mummie, sugarboy ooh, i careless.

9: How often do you have sex?

Aaaaah!!! Honestly, I love sex. As long as you can satisfy me very well, we can have it as much as we want, even 5 times daily.

10: How can the Nigerian movie industry be improved?

The Nigerian movie Industry however leaves much to be desired. A zillion movies are reeled off the industry every single week but only a handful will give you a run for your money. The vast majority of Nigerian movies are poorly directed, poorly edited and even when the plot is great, it is often botched because the actors interpret it poorly. To improve the industry I've these few things to say.

First, take the time to edit your videos right. Run re-takes where it is necessary to do so and make sure you get your sound and lighting right.

Secondly, you don’t have to use those whack custom sound tracks throughout the movie. It just doesn’t sound hip.

Also, stop using one particular person in movies, there are so many and alot talented actors out there who most times do better than the everyday faces. All you need is to build them.

Most times it is same actor, same locations, same costumes same crew, same everything. It is called a talent and entertainment show, we should be versatile.

Lastly, do not allow your script to be so damn predictable. we don’t want to guess where every movie is going and be right ever single time. Thank you

11: What lasting solution can you suggest on the unrest happening in Nigeria over Police brutality and corruption?

This is a revolution, we have woken up. The solution is from the root not the top, how do i mean, discovery movements which the youths have started already. Let all these old politicians go, amend some of our constitution and get the entire police force reformed.

Following the report earlier posted here, https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/6042269/enugu-commissioner-charged-court-land#92602296

Enugu State Commissioner of Land and Urban Development, Hon. Dr. Victor Nnam as described an allegation of forgery with respect to land transaction as false and a handiwork for desperate land grabbers.
In a statement release on his behalf, in a Enugu, by his lawyers to the commissioner, Nnam said he was not surprise since the government took the decision to revoke the said land and as such the company in question, Private Estate International West Africa are desperately looking for a way to make him a victim of their own wrongly calculated attempt to forcefully take over an ancestral land without due process.

The statement read in part that “we are solicitors acting for Dr. Victor Nnam, the Hon. Commissioner for Lands Enugu State and on whose instruction we write on the subject matter above. It is his instruction that it has come to his notice certain media publication suspected to have been sponsored by Private Estates International West Africa Limited, a limited liability company which, the said media publication, claimed to the effect that our client, Dr. Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam, the Honorable Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, Enugu State has been charged to court for Land acquisition and other sundry allegations therewith.

“We will like to state first that our client, the Honorable Commissioner for Lands and Urban development has never been served with any criminal summons or charge as therein alleged in the publication, however, we owe a responsibility to provide the general public with the facts of the matter. So if there is anything like that same must have been planted by some mischief makers but until it is made known to our client and same brought to his notice will then take the necessary steps towards it.

“As a public servant and, even while in private practice, our client, the Honorable commissioner has demonstrated utmost professionalism and the hatchet job of certain misguided elements as contained in the media publications should not be taken seriously for there is no ed company under the laws of Nigeria known as Private Estate International West Africa Limited let alone our client working for such company and to that extent the issue of conflict of interest raised in the publication does not arise at all.

“We want to state categorically that as a public officer, the first line of responsibility and allegiance of the Honorable commissioner would remain to the Enugu State Government. He will not be beholden to his former clients in the course of his erstwhile private practice or even to land grabbers and will continue to discharge his duties accordingly to ensure sanity in land istration in Enugu State. Therefore, any efforts or attempts to malign him and smear his character with false allegations will be highly resisted though within the ambit of the law.

On what constitutes the facts of the matter, the statement noted thus; “The substantive matter is the revocation of 1’097 Hectares of land at Obeagu/Amechi Awkunanaw covered by building Certificate of Occupancy ed as 20/20/1622 issued to Private Estate International West Africa Limited by Enugu State Government which was said to have been done without due process. Private Estates International West Africa Limited, has been laying claim over the parcel of the land allocated to Private Estate International West Africa Limited at Obeagu/Amechi Awkunanaw vide Certificate of Occupancy dated 10th March, 2009 and ed as No. 20/20/1622, Enugu.

“However, ten years after the Certificate of Occupancy was issued, the Enugu State Government observed that the development partnership between Private Estates International West Africa Limited and the State Government was neither presented nor approved by the State Executive Council; consequently, no yellow paper was issued under the seal of the Government of Enugu State to sanction such magnitude of project.

“The said company, Private Estates International West Africa Limited, has been in continuous breach of improvements charge of N4, 470,750,000.00 (Four billion, four hundred and seventy million, seven hundred and fifty thousand naira) as contained in conditions of the revoked title as preceding the issuance of Certificate of Occupancy and ground rent totalling N330, 000,000.00 (Three hundred and thirty million naira) only per annum for the past ten years.

“The state government also notes that the said company, Private Estates International West Africa Limited, which has transacted profitably on the land since 2009 till date, has not made any payment to Enugu State Government as proceed or as compensation. In addition, the Survey Plan to the Building Certificate of Occupancy bears private survey plan number which is not attributable to Enugu State Survey delineation numbers.

“Consequently, the Enugu State Government policy on public/private partnership on land development made the land available to the company to build houses and sell at affordable prices to the public, the reason for which was deferred, but that the said land has been percellated and spaces allocated to the public, when the ministry remains the allocating authority.

“Further to the above, there was no Building Approval from Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority prior to the construction of buildings in the layout and the grant of Building Certificate of Occupancy to the company was to catalyze urgent development of this area which the company’s current mileage of work and development has grossly undermined, leaving the vast area hugely underdeveloped for close to ten years running.

“In addition, the development control unit of the state has observed that the development so far carried out on the property is not in accordance with Government Approved Layout Plan while the Ministry of Lands observed with dismay that a good number of of the host community (Amechi and Obeagu) are residing in the land in question, consequently, there have been litany of ongoing litigations between the company, the Government and the community who claim that their Customary Right of Occupancy was not revoked and as such no compensation was paid to them”.

Noting further, the statement read that “It should be recalled that in the 1985 Enugu State University of Science and Technology (PLAN EN (A) 594) which was purportedly signed by Late Surv. Igboanugo is dated 1985 when the University was not in existence is an aberration.

“While a notice of an Intention to revoke was served on the company and there was no response from the company. Consequent upon the above infractions, the Building Certificate of Occupancy was revoked by the state government in order to resolve the issues surrounding the land in question.

“Private Estates International West Africa Limited has gone to court to challenge the legitimacy of the revocation done by Enugu State Government and the matter is yet to be determined. To this effect, the court had advised the parties (i.e. Enugu State Government, Private Estates International West Africa Limited, and the Host community) to go and discuss an out of court settlement option.

“It can be recalled that on Saturday 25th July, 2020, the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, had in a meeting with the parties at the Government House where they discussed possible ways of settlement. The meeting was adjourned for further consultations and discussions”.

On the basis of the above, the statement urged the general public to disregard the allegations and treat such claims against the commissioner to be an attempt to arm twist him, the honorable commissioner, into serving the interest or for the benefit of few private individuals who are bent on taking advantage of the state and not in the collective interest and betterment of Enugu people, its government or that of the original owners of the land in question.

The Enugu State Commissioner of Lands and Urban Development, Surv. Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam has come under fire for allegedly using illegal means to forcefully acquire and sell large expanse of land and for breach of trust concerning land belonging to Private Estate International West Africa Limited meant for the development of Enugu Lifestyle and Golf Resort.

The allegation is contained in a Criminal Summons filed at the Federal High Court, Enugu Division by the Attorney General of the Federation pursuant to a petition forwarded to the Inspector General, IGP Adamu, to investigate a criminal breach of trust and impersonation against Mr. Nnam and two other persons allegedly connected to the unlawful act.

In a statement release to the press through its lawyers, Private Estate International Limited chronicled events leading to the charge against the Commissioner. It noted that prior to his appointment as the Commissioner for Lands; he was consultant to Private Estate International West Africa Ltd.

“ The Commissioner, Victor Nnam used Confidential information from his client to begin scheming for land out of the land holding of his client granted and covered by Building Certificate of Occupancy issued by the Enugu State Government. Clearly in breach of the ethic of his profession.

“Against an obvious conflict of interest and in breach of his fiduciary duty to his client, he caused the application for layouts out of his said holding and in one instance he approached the principal of the Obeagu Development Union to consent to his scheming but they turned him down.

“Upon being turned down, he forged their signatures and prepared and presented a fake Affidavit to the Lands authorities upon which a layout was approved for him from the land holding of his former client.

“Commenced selling the land to the public by himself and through company Geosquaremeter Innovative Ltd and other cronies.

“Private Estate upon this discovery instructed their lawyer BROCKWELL PRACTICE to petition the Nigerian Police who investigated the matter thoroughly before handing the matter to the office of the Attorney General of the Federation for review.

“Upon their review, the office of the Attorney General established a prima facie criminal case of multiple forgery against him.

“An eight count charge of forgery has since been filed against Mr. Nnam by the Attorney General of the Federation at the Federal High Court Enugu Court 2 with a possible jail term of 160 years.

“Private Estate had also instituted a civil action against him alongside Mr Paul Ogbe and Geo-squaremeter Innovative Ltd, claiming damages in excess of N1.8Billion in the High Court of Enugu State (SUIT NO. E/413/19). A case which also showed evidence of yet another forgery of signature of staff of Private Estates and falsification of dates.”

Efforts to reach the Commissioner of Lands and Urban Development to get his comment proved arbotive as a statement obtain from one of his assistants can't be relied upon.
