A Lady said that everyone who is something today or made it have a story to tell..yes i agree ..but not all stories have poverty background/undertone... Some had it in abundance from birth.

My mother will often tell us that when you are born into this world and you found out your mother and father are not witches/wizards......you dont know what God has done for you .

Yes i agree....but here is mine if you are born into this world and you found out that your parents are rich ...sincerely you dont know what God has done for you.

When you are poor you are only existing but you are not living ...and plant also exist.

These are the 2 things i hate more in life ...
1. Poverty
2. Sickness.

Most folks don't know God at all and it does them a serious disservice. Even our village idols have dos and don'ts but people think The Glorious king of the Universe has no standards and just accepts everyone and loves everyone. It's not true. Even parents have favorites though they hate to it it. Well, rude shock, God has standards.. very high ones and actions have consequences. He gives equal opportunity to everyone and loves those that love HIM back and try to keeps HIS commandments. Read Psalm 5 vs 4 to 6 and Psalm 11vs 5 to 7 for some context.

Okay, I will. I appreciate your kind reminder and the scriptures you shared. You're absolutely right — many people have reduced God to just a loving figure without acknowledging His holiness, justice, and standards. It's a disservice not to know Him deeply and truthfully. God’s love is indeed powerful, but it doesn't cancel out the fact that He expects obedience, reverence, and righteousness. Those verses in Psalms are a strong reminder that while His arms are open, His ways are not to be taken lightly.

Lol. grin cheesy grin
This is hilarious... and fortunately only applies to those who are estranged from God. They are meat for the enemy, truly pathetic. I am a child of God. Like any child, i am not perfect but My life and existence means something to God. Even when I go through difficult seasons, I am not consumed by despair because I KNOW my redeemer lives. smiley

God has good plans for all of us, but sin is often the architect of the struggles we face in life. It took me many years to realize this truth, but along the way, I found myself deeply immersed in the consequences of my own wrongdoings. Now, I am left in a space of seeking God's forgiveness, trusting that in His perfect time.

As long as you have tribal names, then I'm satisfied... grin grin grin

You make conversations so effortless, and your husband is truly lucky. Thanks for paving the way for other single ladies out there. It’s not easy to find someone who makes communication this easy and enjoyable.

But you must at least have one tribal name even if they give you a biblical one... Your culture should come first because you're an African before you're a Christian or Muslim.

It seems you're curious about my tribal name, haha! Well, I don’t think it’s necessary to share it here. However, if you're genuinely interested or know someone I could connect with, feel free to hit me up in my DMs. My door is always open

I'm not saying that Samuel is originally a Nigerian name, please don’t get me wrong. What I meant is that most Nigerian Christians usually choose names from the Bible when naming their children.

Samantha125:
I don't know, but it's surely not a Nigerian name.

So you're a Nigerian without a single Nigerian name? Is your surname Nigerian? Or it's an English, French, Greek, or whatever surname as well?😅😅😅

As for Nigerian names, I typically have both a first and last name, which are quite common. However, I don't feel the need to showcase them here, as I'm more focused on something serious and meaningful in this context.

Is Samuel an English name?

Samantha125:
Nothing, just curious.

So you have an English first name and English second name?

Let me explain better,
In Nigeria, it's common for Christians to name their children after names found in the Bible. These names are often chosen not just for their sound, but for their meanings, the stories behind them, or the virtues they represent. For example, names like David, Esther, Daniel, or Deborah are popular because they reflect strength, faith, and divine purpose. Some parents also include a native name alongside the biblical one to preserve cultural identity while expressing their faith

while the poor man struggles under the weight of poverty, lacking money, comfort, and ease but he still holds on to the belief that he is a Redeemer’s own, a child of God. He prays, fasts, serves, and stays hopeful, even when nothing around him shows progress.

Yet, on the other side, there are those who don’t even identify with God, those who make no claims of redemption or holiness and still, life seems to favour them.
Does it mean God doesn’t hear the prayers of those who acknowledged him? Or that He no longer sees them as His own? Has He turned His face away from the ones who call His name daily, the ones who fast, pray, and still struggle to survive?
Meanwhile, those who don’t acknowledge Him, who make no effort to know Him, seem to prosper with ease.
