Ojadaddy28: Hi @Ojaydaddy28, I'd recommend you watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/live/qQrmOdqlKlg?feature=share When you study and work afterwards in Saskatchewan, it gives you some points in the Saskatchewan PNP. Refer to the calculator here: https://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/live-in-saskatchewan/by-immigrating/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program/browse-sinp-programs/applicants-international-skilled-workers/assess-your-eligibility My humble opinion, for whatever course you intend to study: 1. go online and search what jobs exist in that field 2. start compiling those job descriptions into a notepad text document 3. Highlight the highly sought after skills and start working on them from now. 4. Do your homework of the viable Saskatchewan Employers Implementation: once you arrive to start at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, you start tailoring your resume and sending it out, work your away to a TEER 1, 2, 3 level job. Impress your employer enough for them to give you a letter of reference after 6 months, apply for provincial nomination. Check the average processing time: https://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/live-in-saskatchewan/by-immigrating/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program/check-application-processing-times-for-sinp Hope this helps If you follow this, you can apply for Provincial Nomination that gives you additional 600 points to be added to your EE profile 2 Likes |

gabbytabby: Someone just mentioned above, you can't use three (3) batteries, and he's right. I'll advice to add Solar power to the setup to give you some real leverage. I don't deal in inverters but I have a home system and I have spent quite a bit to get to where I am today. First off, we need to understand your capacity requirement. I have a 1.7kVA pure sine wave inverter. It powers usually 6 LED bulbs at any given time between 7am and 10pm. PS 1: change all your lighting to LED (not Energy saving, LED) I don't have ceiling fans, as I find rechargeable standing fans more energy efficient (ratio 2:1). My cable TV decoder, home internet modem, phone charger, Flat screen TV and laptops are also always on. I needed to change my refrigerator to an Energy saving model (Samsung or LG with Digital / Smart inverter technology). This made a whole world of a difference with easing feeding the family as the refrigerator is connected to the inverter via a timer that turns it on at 9:15am and turns it off at 4:15pm everyday in the event of a power outage. The drain on the batteries are minimal compared to your conventional refrigerators with compressors having 7 to 8 times the running power to start. My wife can power the blender when she's cooking during the day. We also have a top loading LG washing machine bought for 30k back in 2013 that we still use ONLY during sunlight hours so we don't impact the batteries. All of this is powered by 8 x 300W Canadian Solar s I have on the roof of the rented apartment. Four (4) s towards the rising sun and four (4) towards the setting sun for maximum irradiation. What's the convenience of all this? I only buy fuel to power my generator when there's been more than two days of strong cloud cover or to do some quick ironing when we have extended power outages. For example: I purchased 30 litres in October 2019 and had to refill in March 2020 just as the corona virus lock downs were announced. Recommendations: buy Full River 200AH batteries. You don't really need four batteries. get a 24v system You need an original Solar Charge MPPT Controller. I use ePever 60A. Afripower 1.7KvA inverter, I know someone who got this in 2018 one other person and myself. Serves well and costs 75k. Afripower is close to Toyota bus stop at Oshodi-Isolo. Got my solar s from Gennex Technologies in Ajah. First four in 2018 and then the next four in 2019. It cost 50k per 300W then. Before you install the s, ensure to do a little survey on your roof. Use a good technician that won't make your roof leak and ensure you see where the early morning sunlight and late evening sunlight falls. Hope this helps. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

euchaaria: Haven't posted on NL for a while. Your thread drew me out. I finished NYSC in February 2009. At about May 2009 I had sent over 200 email applications and received only one reply - an automated response! Don't worry, I'm not wishing you the same lot :-) My 2 cents: 1. Visit justjobsng.com and as often as possible 2. Google companies within your desired industry and visit with hard copies of your resume. 3. Get on LinkedIn, build your profile and networks within and adjacent to your desired industry. Start by looking for your University Alumni and sending them connection requests, then HR managers across related industries. 4. Offer to volunteer - ask for 'internships'. That is, you need to build experience and this might require doing so without pay or being paid just enough to cover your transport. 5. Look for courses on alison.com. They're all free. 6. Invest in building expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Use youtube, read the help file, look for free training online - this skill is in demand and might earn you a foot in the door. 7. Please don't give up (or give in to the people that seek to exploit ladies) Cheers. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Marxxx: Hello Marxxx, I'd just like to say a few things. I hope you give them a thought. If anyone is going to be able to change her it's you. Why? You both were alike once upon a time. Like someone pointed out, you had a motivating reason to change. Your job, career recognition. Find out what her motivating factor is. You both share a history of "razz" (and I use that word not at all in a derogatory manner), if you choose, you can also both share a history of being as classy and blue-blooded as you like. Nothing will beat the level of fun you can both have if it ends in marriage. It's the power of friendship that helps sustain a marriage through troubled times. Please don't throw it away. Are you ideals still the same? Your belief systems, your life aspirations? If they are nothing is lost. In closing, I heard the advice a man with about 60 years of experience in marriage gave his son who was in his 40's and had yet to get married. "They are only two things a man requires in a woman: a woman that is loyal and a woman that is honest". If she has both these qualities the sky will be your limit in marriage. If you have no question of her love for you, Packaging can be very deceptive. Especially in corporate Nigeria. 3 Likes |

ifyalways: Which sites are approved for the company? Madam Ify, haba breathe easy. She's for real, the offer is for real and at a nice place and believe me you don't want to get job-seeking stalkers on your trail, not on a site like NL with over 900,000 ed s (though alot with multiple ID's - na spambot cause am). There are ways of checking up on such, I could tell you but via PM. MNC's from time to time have urgent requests for "semi-skilled" hands. @OP, ify's looking out for younger one's not herself. They're lots of scam opportunities here so her barking you down is expected. Cheers with your search, "ex-Brother of the Lever" ![]() 1 Like |

Montalo: Greetings everyone! Please i need advice on which telecoms institute that offers good practicals in lagos that i can attend. Am currently doing my NYSC. I would love the experienced guys in the house to help out. Thanks! Hi Montalo, also do check out http://www.laplacetechnologies.com/, They're quite good too. I know apart from training, they're involved with Huawei and ZTE I think on MTN projects in the SE. A friend completed their training and was placed on an Internship (based on his performance though), which could eventually lead to his being retained. The pay isn't stellar of course, but its a start - in the heat of the industry. All the best. |

"A Woman that is honest & a woman that is loyal." IMHO, A couple of things make me notice a lady (different topic), after which I look out for her reactions: 1. To instituted authority 2. To correction 3. To Crises. I try to build a foundation of sincere friendship so there's minimal pressure, it helps to get to meet the 'real person', observe her closest relationships with those closest to her (work & family), get to know what she's like at Standard Temperature & Pressure, guards down, warts and all WITHOUT becoming a stalker or self-righteous perfectionist. A homely person (loves kids, great cook, kind hearted ), has a vision of where her life is headed and is working towards it. |

marshall4: @AJ I can bodly say that you're a complete novice when it comes to I.T. I'm currently among the few Network s at MTN network in Accra because of my technical know-how and the ability to providing business solution. Where are you qualifications? for your information, RF engineering is a subset of electrical engineering dealing with devices that are designed to operate in the Radio Frequency spectrum. And I'm happy doing my Msc in EE. Cheers once again. AjanleKoko: LoL, I laugh in binary !!! "Boya lemo" ![]() ![]() ![]() 1 Like |

obioraval: Now to add my Own 2cents, i also advise project management certifications. Thats a very necessary skill to have in your cv. There's actually a pre-req to the PMP. It requires some verifiable hours of Project Management experience. IMHO, I'd advise as a fresher that you go after the CAPM (Certified Associate PM) first instead and than after bagging some years of experience you could take it up a notch with the PMP. A Study advice is study with the PMBOK but write the CAPM The emphasis isn't on racking up certs, its about the skill. To all that requested some info on where to start take a look at http://www.laplaceknowledgeacademy.com/history.html A friend of mine just completed his 3 months (and less 100k I think) training with them and based on his performance on the final test was offered an internship position for 3 months after which his employment would be regularized. I hear they do a alot of work with Huawei especially for EMTS and MTN at the moment. Hope this Helps. Cheers. |

leolucas: Hi Leo. 1. Your ability to learn and unlearn...fast...especially on your own. My maxim is "start where you are, with what you have, now!". Get books, watch videos. They will not be the most fun thing you have read, you will get bored, you might even get a migraine. Stick with it. Google for introductory whitepapers on different topics. Get a hang of the acronyms. There's a goldmine on youtube if you know how to search and I've got a couple of ebooks myself I'm always willing to share. 2. Go out and hunt, hunt, hunt...look for the small subcontractors that work with the major vendors and request for an internship. It'd be easier to get in and cross to the major vendors or Operators. There's Merit Telecoms, Laplace, Anchor Telecoms, Linksoft, Quantum. 3. The 'Fiber Optic cabling' activity itself is handled by Installers. Its a semi-skilled occupation. You can have a go at it for some hands-on, Splicing and the works. Your knowledge of Fiber would come in pivotal if you get to work in Transmission (which is the backbone of the network). The knowledge would come in VERY, VERY handy, believe me. Hope this helps. |
