Well, some of us have not posted anything here for a long time but been following events in the house. As a sat enthusiast, I believe I should also say something regarding the recent debate in the house. People have so many interests. Some collects stamps, some socks, some antics, etc,etc. We have decided to become FTA hobbyists. What some people fail to understand is that, it is not that some people on the forum cannot go for paytv. But as I indicated it is something they've decided to do at their free time. One even has to consider the cost of equipment. I ed some year's back someone posted a hobbyist in South Africa FTA setup - it is almost like a space station! We have all in one way or the other involved ourselves in the illegalities. But a real joy in FTA hobby is the discoveries of new ideas, and the challenges that pose to the hobbyist. And that is the spirit of it all! Sathob at a point started a thread on solar energy. I wonder how many of us has taken interest in that part. Let's us all share ideas that will work. After all, the paytv companies are not also sleeping - they are always finding ways to stop the leaks in their system. ed what happened to dongles sometime back when it stopped working - everyone went besek! And what people tend to forget is that, it is illegal and when caught one will face the music. Paytv companies are losing revenues and they will do everything possible to get the culprits! |

LOOK GROW UP ALL OF YOU. Half of West Africa populations are Nigerians. Our grand dads came from Nigeria and set up family way, way back. My dad was born in Ghana in 1910! This shows how far Ghana-Nigeria relations has been. I'm proudly Ghanaian! That notwithstanding. we are very much hurt when something bad happens to Nigeria. So, what are we all talking about here? Grow up, grow up, grow up!! The myriads of problems Nigeria is facing cannot be solved by the current leaders alone. It needs a collective effort of every Nigeria, starting with YOU. Ask yourself, what have you done positively to raise the image of your country? We are all guilty of it. Get involve, Ghana - Nigeria will always be good neighbours. Just when the Eagles need to qualify to the World Cup some years back, it was Ghana that helped her do that at the expense of Liberia. Oppon Weah still hates us for that. So please, please, reason up. We all need each other. |

I think some ppl are just missing the point. Just be reminded the supply of Gas to Ghana is not free. And we are not complaining to any person in particular. It is a way of letting the public know some of the challenges the Electricity Company is facing so as to bear with them. As for those who know the history of Ghana and Nigeria, there is no need to say more. No matter what some ppl will say, we have been very good neihgbours and we continue to be. Long live Ghana-Nigeria relationship. |

Why all these attacks on Ihack? Kindly be patient with him. He said the thing is in the experimental stage, so he needs to be very sure that it works well before he makes a proper introduction of it. I think it is a bit unfair to accuse him of chickening out. After all he made a try and some of you were just sitting on the fence.

@Ihack I think you should begin to patent your invention, lol |

@Kungu Good observation. Nothing is impossible though. But what are your thoughts on Ihack claims? |

@Dodos Any3mi, me b3shi din! |

@I hacked I do not want to wade into this controversy of Nilesat on 90cm dish. But since this is an education forum, I think I should add my voice to the various advice given: You caught the wrong bird! I see where your problem is: You think because you picked the frequencies where NILESAT is written, then that should be it. NO, it does not work that way. These frequencies are pre-installed by the those who manufacture the boxes for easy tracking. That is why if a new satellite is discovered you don't immediately see it the name in your current box. I can INPUT the frequency of Multi TV into Hotbird satellite name and vice versa. The important thing is the POSITION OF YOUR DISH. Simply put, the fact that a you are embarking on a trip from Lagos to Kano, the vehicle must necessarily bear the number plate of Lagos or Kano. It is the destination that matters, otherwise you will always board the wrong bus. Hope this helps. |

sambass: You are again wrong Sambass! I belong to the G-group and a proud member. I'm not even a Nigerian not to talk about ethnicity. So unless there is something amiss, I think your accusations are baseless. |

@Sophie I believe you are a bit harsh with your choice of words about the G-group. Kindly apologise and take back your insults. Thanks |

I'm one of the 3rd generation Hausa speaking Ghanaian. And I love it! As many have indicated. historically, many of the tribes in Ghana rather comes from Nigeria. It is a historically fact that the Ga/Adangme came from Ile Ife in Nigeria. They settled in modern Accra after driving away the Fantis. When one visits Osu, one of the clans in Accra, there is a place called Alata and one can hear some traces of Yoruba in the Ga language especially when pouring libation to the gods. The Gonjas in northern Ghana are believed to have linked to Northern Nigeria. The word is a Hausa word (Gwanja) which means trading. I was also told that the Dagombas came from Nigeria. But apart from ancient history, Ghana and Nigeria have been linked in some many ways for years. In fact, West Africa is made of half Nigerians! Despite the infamous Aliens Compliance Order in the '70s by the Ghanaian government then, many Nigerians stayed and still influential in Ghanaian economy. Visit a place like Cowlane, Zongolane, Okaishie, Newtown (Lagostown) etc. one will understand what I'm talking about. |

@Jibril Yes, long time. Just a bit on and off. But once a while, I come in to follow proceedings here. Hope everything is well. @Gadator I told you I'm not too comfortable with the D-tail. I prefer using my 'current setting', at least it is stable for now. But you have to analyse the cost before you could embark on such a project. I'm an Internet addict so it is like killing two birds with one stone. |

@Swordman, great job!

@Swordswifter Good work! Keep it up! Let us know when you get MBC packages |
![]() |
Ilish: Wow, that is great! I have seen the 110p is out today. I don't know if you've tried it out yet |
![]() |
@swordfisher Congrats! At long last, lol! Nothing is impossible if you give it a try |
![]() |
gadotor: I did not get the drift. Can you explain further or give me a call |
![]() |
Hahahaha, Good one there!
|
![]() |
Eltonluigi: Thanks, just that you are drawn in the useless squabbles before you realise it. Anyway, I still cherish the site and I'll continue to visit it. |
![]() |
@Gadator Thanks for asking of me bro. I have been around. I just sneak in and out. The forum is becoming a battle ground. So I normally keep my comment. Anyway, I have seen a lot of progress though. Thank to those who kept the flame burning! |

@Sathob Any3mi, thank you! People think just because this is an FTA forum one can do 'anything'. Even RDI forum where some keep making references to has a disclaimer that NO ROMANIA keys should be posted. And for those who are peeved with the G-group, I wonder what their thoughts are! If you think you are not comfortable with the G-group, just create your own, period! The forum says, NO ILLEGAL keys. That is it. You either follow the rules or just don't come here at all. Haba, it is becoming too annoying |

@Ibaku I believe you could have ask this question in the main forum instead of creating a new threat for it. I stand to be corrected. |

@olofofo Thanks for the info. I wont wait until it starts cracking up. I will get the fan as soon as possible. |

twinskenny: I just acquired Strong 4930. It is HD but not has no terrestrial capabilities but good for CS. So far there is no problem. I will keep monitoring it and will update the house on her performance. |

oliss: Which of the MBCs? |

Flodel: Or because of the issue of viruses, it is better to upgrade direct from the pc. Speaking from experience. |

@esuo Bring to me so we also try working around it. |
