TECNO did well to choose an interesting array of celebrities from different industries.

A few weeks ago, TECNO launched the Phantom X smartphone in an exclusive event at the Hardrock café. Asides the exquisite entertainment and fun, there was one other highlight that stuck out. The brand played for the audience a trailer of their next project.

The snippet showed some of our favourite celebrities spilling the tea about their lives and having fun with Tobi Bakare who seemed to be the host of the show. The vibe we all got that night after watching the trailer was that the show was going to be great fun and we couldn’t wait to watch.

Well, the wait is now over.

The show is called the Phantom Xtraordinaire Show. It is hosted by the fun-loving Tobi Bakre and would be putting the limelight on celebrities who have had bold and extraordinary journeys and an established seat in stardom.

TECNO did well to choose an interesting array of celebrities from different industries; Nollywood actress Rita Dominic, Business consultant and inspirational speaker Fela Durotoye, pioneer beauty entrepreneur Tara Durotoye, WNBA draft Evelyn Akhator, and Founder of SLOT Nnamdi Ezeigbo.

Going by the trailer shown at the launch, each celebrity will take us deep into their personal lives, sharing tips and actionable points. We also know that Tobi Bakre dared the celebrities to carry out some very funny deeds.

The show will be in 6 episodes. The first 3 episodes will air this weekend (starting 23rd July) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:30pm on TECNO’s YouTube channel.

I use the newly launched Tecno phantom X. While I haven't taken time to notice how long it takes to charge from 0% to 100%, I discovered that it doesn't take time at all. It surprises me and everyone around me. My neighbour uses Iphone X and his battery would be 50% charges when my Phantom X will hit 100% and we both started charging at the same time.

I will consciously monitor to know exactly how long it takes to fully charge

So many of us don't buy phones for the right reasons. We buy phones because it trendy or the latest. Personally, I buy phones because they meet my pressing phone needs of better camera, more storage, good battery life, great processor, etc. I would go with the Phantom X

Finally, the wait is over. I long waited and expected this phone and it's now here. I will be getting it.

Mediatek has consistently improved over the years and that wins it for me. It means that it'll keep getting better as it progresses.

Based on the parameters considered, I will go with Camon17 Pro. It stands out for me.

Of all the series produced by Africa's smartphone giant TECNO mobile, the Phantom series have always stood out. One could say it is the best of them all because while you can attribute the Camon series to be camera centric, the Pova series to come with very high power efficacy, the Spark and Pop series to be budget friendly, the Phantom series encomes them all having the attributes of all these series put together in one masterpiece.

In June 2014, the first device in the phantom series, the Phantom Z was launched after which the Phantom 5 followed in 2015. This 2015 flagship had succeeded the Boom J7 and Camon C8, both which were affordable and consumer targeted, the icing on the cake then was that it brought in the features of the two devices like music, multimedia and camera capabilities alongside other improved specifications such as finger print sensor among others expected in a smartphone all combine into one phone.

In 2016, TECNO hit the market hard again with yet another device from the Phantom series, the Phantom 6, this time it came with even better features than its predecessors and shortly after the Phantom 6 plus followed which had a better 4050 mAh battery and a larger 4GB RAM.

A year later, the Phantom 8 was launched and just like its predecessors it came with improved features like a better design, larger storage, improved cameras and a wide range of variety colors to choose from. However, irrespective of the constant release of Phantom phones yearly, the eager fans had to wait a full year before receiving the Phantom 9 in 2019, this time to the surprise of many, the Phantom 9 came in relatively cheaper than all it predecessors even though housing better features like its massive storage, better processor and great design. One bone of contention though was the fact that contrary to the usual type C port the Phantom series come with, this one came with a micro USB port even though it came with the fast charge technology.

Its been a year plus now and we are yet to see another devices from the Phantom series, who knows? what new features will the next Phantom device carry?, we have seen it gradually progress and improve with time so we can only imagine what the nest Phantom will have to offer.

Nothing disgusts me in a smart phone than an unresponsive touch screen. Make dem waybill the phones across seas for repairs and correction. Who wants to be going through that kind of stress? Certainly not me.

Both are nice phones but Camon17Pro gives you more value for money, you should go for it.
